I fucking love that movie. Really underrated too! I’d love if the Soska twins came back and did more with Katherine, who was also great as Margo Verger in Hannibal.
Every script says that "The Reef is the best shark movie not named Jaws." I've listened to about 10 of these lists in the background while doing chores and I have heard that line over and over. You can also say "it's the SECOND BEST shark movie" from time to time to spice things up!
Shadow of the Vampire is a fantastic movie and Nightbreed is never talked about enough in my opinion. And Cabal, the novella it's based on, is well worth the read.
You’re awesome. Nightbreed is one of my favorite movies ever. I have always been so drawn to Clive Barker’s work. I’m so happy you brought this movie up!! Have you read Mister B. Gone?
I always found it so strange that these movies regarding transplants never take into account all of the various factors needed to keep people alive after they've received a transplant AND how vital it is that they are getting a PERFECT MATCH which gives them a higher chance at survival. I mean...the amount of rejection medications that are required for anyone who gets a transplant is insane. My BIL had at least one liver transplant and was on a sh*tload of medications. However, he had turned his life around so he was able to get that transplant and was able to be part of his family's lives for several years longer. I only got to meet him once and he was a lovely man with a lovely sense of humor. RIP, BIL. You are missed and loved.
With the amount of horror movie lists y'all have done. I'm shocked that you guys have never mentioned The Final. It's a really good psychological horror film that flew under the radar
if you don't mind, I'd like to add some Honorable Mentions - I don't know how many people remember Xtro - British horror/scifi from about 1980, VERY creepy and visual; Deep Rising - where the hijacking of a luxury liner gets derailed by sea monsters, very tense and action-packed (with Treat Williams and Famke Janssen); - and one I've never seen mentioned anywhere, Dead Birds - (starring Henry Thomas from E.T., all grown up) - maybe it was a little too elliptical for a lot of people, but the script makes it clear what's happening - also featuring a SUBLIMINAL score, extremely effective and creepy - one of the best ghost story films ever. it was an indie production, maybe it just didn't get out to the audience it might have.
Near dark and the lost boys are two of my favorite horror movies of all time with the latter being the first horror movie I've ever seen at the age of 7
I still remember the old VHS Box for Frankenhooker. There was a button you could press on it and it would say "Wanna date?!" I was talked to many times about not pressing that button excessively while picking out tapes at the video store. Being a kid, of course I didn't listen.
Fab! Regarding Bobcat Goldthwait recommend his series Misfits & Monsters, Uncle Sam... I want you dead was unintentionally great fun and an outro would be gentler;o)
#6, shin gojira is still my favorite outing for the king of monsters. I really wish they had moved forward with the idea of more Kaiju movies in the same universe
The Reef made me glad to live in the mountains about as far from the ocean as a person can get. That movie could make a thalassophobe out of Jacques Custeau.
i feel the need to inform (sorry if someone else has already said it) that the vampires in "blood Vessel" are based off of strigoi rather than the general vampire conglomerate that the modern age typically refers to
I know this suggestion isn't horror but if i don't type it now I'll forget. Y'all should do a list of film's best Good Boys (best canine characters) My vote is Thor from Bad Moon for #1 and is a horror film so hey i guess i actually kept with the theme lol
No such film called EXITOR and can't be found on IMDB. However, I have seen this movie, which is pretty good but the films title escapes me, although I the think 'ASYLUM' appears in the title. Anyone know it?
Love whenever Jess reads. You make everything sound so charming and Australian! Good list to. Can’t se Possession though. It’s to unpleasant and gross 🤢 ❤
In the reef, I heard that it was based in a different event, where two scuba divers got left behind in the ocean, and it was a good while before they noticed and when they went back to look for them, they were just gone, never seen again. I'd never heard of the event they said it was based on.
Oh yes, it really happened - although no one REALLY knows what happened to those tourists - the case is discussed in Bill Bryson's book "Down Under" - it had just happened when he was visiting North Queensland.

Exeter is a wildly under rated movie. Seriously give it a look, its been a hit with everyone I've shown it to.
Great vampire-adjacent movie, “Ravenous” from 99.
Lord of Illusions is another of Clive Barker's hidden gems
Ghost ship is a underrated hidden gem too 😔💔

So proud "Cub" was made by one of my fellow Belgian citizens. Quite good, underrated for sure.
I've seen Below many times, I love it. One of those movies I can turn on for background noise then get distracted by the movie.
Cockney vs Zombies is one of my favorite movies. It's actually a funny horror comedy. Dead and Breakfast is a lot of fun too.

49 is a perfect square. Mathematically speaking it's much sexier than 50.
The only thing that annoys me about this video is that there should be 1 more movie to make it an even 50.
