- I was lucky enough to be among the first group of people to receive one of China's brand new five star cards, which will replace the Chinese green card. But how good is it? And what's my biggest regret about getting one.

真不容易，2023年在中国的外国人有150万左右，只有50个人拿到了五星卡。你居然是其中之一。这都不是万里挑一了，难度太高了。也说明你为中国做了很大贡献，这的确是值得骄傲的事，恭喜你🎉

2023拿到永居卡的外国人很多，在上海我就知道就有三个，不过五星卡应该很少，毕竟年底才推出的

How to get China’s green card? What’s the requirement?
@@haniahannslew4108 You can search yourself using keywords such as "how to get chinese 5 star card". Don't know how reliable this website by pacificprime is (under their subpage all-you-need-to-know-about-chinas-new-five-star-card). There are five categories:
Working staff
Special talents
Expatriates with Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Degrees
Foreigners marked as a highly qualified person holding residence permits for work
Investors
Say for special talent:
- Be a well-known talent, skilled professional, or celebrity who has made contributions to China’s economic development and social progress or has value to the country and recommended by the country’s ministry, commission or administration of the State Council, or government
- Meet the criteria of high-level talent as set by the national key development zones
- Be a foreign financial talent recommended by the authorities
For working staff,
- Worked in China for four years
- Stayed in mainland China for no less than six months every year in the four years
- Have an annual salary income before tax more than six times the average annual salary of urban employees in the previous year in the region for four consecutive years
- Paid an annual income tax of not less than 20% of their salary
- Hold a recommendation from their present employer

No. It does not matter how much you contributed to CN. It is distributed based on political agenda. Or else you cannot explain after so many years only handful of people getting it, while a lot of people has indeed contributed to CN, including Japanese, Korean, American that were hated so much on your internet.

Of course many does that through marriage, no complain, it is a norm in the world. Don't need to bring up about refugee, we all know true color of CCP. There is never been "Out of good will" CCP does something. No need to debate on that topic

Congrauation! You eventually got the five-star card that represents your identification in mainland China. I'm a Hongkonger; your card is something like the Hong Kong ID card with three stars! Usually, people who live in Hong Kong for study or work for seven years will get the three-star ID card. It means they have already become true Hong Kongers. I had been to Beijing once before, 30 years ago, and now I am settled down in the southern part of China, Zhongshan. I hope that in the coming time I will have time to travel the whole of China, and I will visit Beijing again. Keep up the good work, man!
Hong Kong is too easy to get a green card. That’s why so many people want to go to HK to live to be a citizen. Mostly people from poorer countries want to get hi citizen cards. Once foreigners get hk citizenshipcards they can enter China easily. So if foreigners get hk citizenships card, does that mean they can claim to citizens of mainland China?

Congratulations Stu on your five star card, I remember watching a video when you went to a sports event where your dream was to meet the coach and to get a Chinese green card, hope this is the card you're were dreaming about. And i think you're just as important as the other professionals who got their cards, your contribution to China is pretty huge. Your videos are pretty awesome and you're very genuine,if only I have enough time to watch it, but i try my best.

A coach, prof and designer impact their circles of people within the country. Situ shines his light outside the country to the English speaking world. As China goes global, its talents of which Situ is now one, goes global too, not limited by ethnicity, religion and nationality. I'm touched by his emotions connected with getting the card. This is so much in contrast with Chinese who left China to join force with foreigners to bring down China.

@@bryantcw83你原来是中国人，他这个和身份证还是不一样的。你加入外籍后，没有了原国籍，用这种方式保证你和国内亲人的联系的！......毕竟民间交流联系是不可能断掉的。
