I bought an ivy 2 3/8” adapter for mine. That said that adapter has its own issues and you need to pry the metal lock ring out but after that it fits perfect and has good magnetism. You need a very small micro Phillips to pry it out but it’s like $4 and fits
i bought this set about three years ago and it has been an excellent set of bits.
Very nice!! Glad to hear it!!!
I believe the reason for that specific bit adaptor is that the Japanese have placed an ever-growing emphasis on tool use at a very early age for their children.
This adaptor can also double as a rattle for even the youngest of children. Hence keeping their interest while still holding a tool.
😆😅🤣😂
Sorry, I couldn't help myself after seeing that ridiculous adaptor. You are right about that, Tony. Absolutely zero thought put into that.
Great stuff as always, Tony!!!
Lmao I'm not going to lie I thought I was learning something new until I got the the rattle part 😅 hahaha you got me good on that one.
That must be a USA-specific set, with SAE hex and Robertson bits - there's not much demand for those outside North America (including Canada). Wera does a similar size 30-piece bit set, the BC 30 Metal 1, but that has loads of duplicate bits in it.
I have this set in my work bag and use it often. Just wish they would have given us security versions of the bits. For example I can’t adjust any air compressor pressure switches with these and I need to go get a different set out.
Ya that would be a nice addition
It’s a nice set and I like the Aries holders too. I have been using Wera and Railer bit sets and I have a bunch of Dewalt and other miscellaneous bits.
It is a great set. I also use alot of dewalt and railer bits 👍
Ok that Ares is super neat
Ya I really enjoy it. It works very well
Have this set and love it but yea I was surprised too when I first got it at how poor that bit holder is for that set. I'm like you and have plenty to choose from so they all work in the end but its a crazy oversight to have that be the combo.
Keep up the great work man!
Ya I completely agree with you. I was very confused by that choice lol. Thank you!! 👍
I have that set I love them
Nice. Glad to hear it!!
oh man you're killing me
Hahaha 😂👍
Just use some RTV to fix the bit into the adapter. No more rattle.
Good reviewe
Thank you
Damn Army... i think i may .. MAY have learned something!.. very rare! hah
Hahaha 😅😂👍 I appreciate the support
Hello again, Tony
Thank you for another Great Video 👍 Is it possible to buy extra bits? If I bought this, I would need mostly #2 Philips and Tri-wing screws. The allen bitd would be useful. Other than that how's it going 😊
It's going well. Thank you. How have you been? I'm sure you can buy just extra bits but I'm not sure how pricing is on that.
@TonyTheTechnician Overall not to bad. I am learning how a person can handle semi-retirement. It takes a lot to get used too.
@georgeferlazzo7936 ohh dang ya I'm sure it is a pretty decent change from what you are used too. Time for some unknown hobbies to arise lol
The second ball part is useful for 13mm jdm quick releases. I agree the bit holder is hot garbage and I don't know what brand it is but I did find a jdm one that fit I'll reply if I look at it soon. I have been using jdm double ended it's alot and unless it's a odd size I'm kinda addicted to thoes.
Ohh very nice. Good to know. Thanks for sharing. Ya if you get the chance let me know. Thanks again 👍
Do these fit on japanese socket impact drivers?
Not sure. Never used a Japan impact driver. I would assume so but I don't want to say yes bc I don't have experience with them and I'm not sure if they use a different size drive adapter.
They don't fit right in a jdm 13mm chuck as is but they do fit into 13mm adapters. Tone and engineer has adapters to go from 13mm to 9mm standard bits. Engineer dr-22 will go both ways 9mm or 13mm on both sides of the adapter. Tone 2 B HA- 065 is rhe adapter for jdm impacts 13mm to 9mm with no play.
@@MattHmm-rq6dn thank you for sharing that info. I figured the Japanese tools were going to be metric. But wasn't sure.
6.35mm is 1/4 in the same 9.5 is 3/8s ect for rachet sizes as well no such thing last a metic rachet. The only thing that changes is 9mm for rest of the world vs 13 for Japanese depth on the quick chucks.
Figures. The biggest bit has the smallest balls.
