  • Video #2 showing landings and crashes of RC Jet Airplanes at the Temora Jet Meeting 2014. Large scale turbine airplanes are just some of what can be seen here.
Check out some of our other videos for more action and crashes.

The Migs made a great landings. And the Raptor made an almost VTOL type landing.

I have a 70mm twin F/A-18, working on it for about 5 years now. It's been completed for about 4 years, but I keep having issues with the landing gear, and I can't fly it yet. I've got generic electric retracts and I'm using RC Lander door sequencers. The problem is that the retracts work in the opposite direction from Lander retracts (which they don't make them for these loads, so I bought another brands), and I have to place an inline reverser from the sequencer to the electracts. I find the reversers burning out, on the mains, the electracts use around 1100 milliamps, and the reversers can probably not handle that amount of current. The plane is too heavy to use pneumatic retracts. I plan to change to the ASSAN brand door sequencer and not use a servo reverser. Otherwise I'm going to have to remove the doors and go straight to the power supply for the retracts. The retracts have their own separate battery since they all draw over 3.5 amps when cycling. Any ideas guys? Anyone know of a reverser that can handle at least 2 amps? Probably not made, since they are really for servos. In my servos I just rewire them to work backwards, but with the retracts (Electracts) you can't make that happen because the potentiometer is proprietary.

Keep the power on and don't push a bad position. Fly the bird onto the deck. If it dosen't look or feel right, go around and try it again.
