    Finally! Some one who takes the extra step, and goes the extra mile to do it right! It looks like it rolled right out of Dearborn that way. Also love that you made a wiring diagram for us.

    Awesome! I don't know how I haven't seen this video before. I have wanted to do this same thing to my 6.2l Lariat for years. I didn't want to give up the cubby that is actually functional to install the raptor oem switches. I was on the same wavelength with the SD Upfitters but couldn't figure out several details. You answered all of the questions I had and showed how to do it cleanly. Thank you for the time and effort you put into this video. Part numbers and everything, you rock bro.

    Great video those whips are kick ass! A tip with the marettes is to wrap them in electrical tape.

    Freakin Sweet! Need the extra switches and those whips for Pismo n Glamis. Time to make a materials list for the '14 Raptor. Glad you know your stuff. Thanks bro

    Jason, The upfitter switches are a $165 option on the Ford Super Duty. They are not standard.

    Quick question it think I understand everything else on your diagram but where do I wire the input for the led illumination lights is that just 12v again or something special. Other than that really good job explaining everything Thanks for the amazing tutorial

      Thanks! Wire the LED illumination input to your dashboard illumination power. This is the thicker blue wire below the shifter in the center console- see video at 10:36. But mind the mistake I made at 11:55- there are two blue wires in there, you want the thicker one.

    Man We tried this but wired a large light bar in line with an inline fuse. We did not use a fuse box or relay setup like you did. Anyway we are blowing switches. Guessing too much amp draw or power going back to the switch panel.

    • @jasonmurray9380
      @jasonmurray9380  7 місяців тому

      Yeah sounds like it. A relay should solve your problem.

    • @orbeaoiz

      Ok. So I ordered a fuse/relay block on amazon and it arrived today. It is pretty straight forward if you ask me, but I have a question for you. You have a wiring diagram coming out of the switch panel (green wires). The positive and ground is confusing me from the switch panel but maybe this is my ask. Per device, I have white wires for the switches, and yellow wires for the lead to the light bar. I am guessing the 12v for the switch harness could simply be connected to a “device” connection and this might control the yellow light on the switch. BUT my yellow light “Device” wire will be blank, or left alone. Is this a safe assumption on my part, or am I missing something?

      @@orbeaoiz I'm not able to follow your description, I think I'd need to see a diagram or something to understand. But the idea is the switch in the cab is just turning on and off the relay coil. Then the main relay contacts are actually switching the light bar on and off.

    • @orbeaoiz
      @orbeaoiz 7 місяців тому

      First of all I appreciate all of your help here. I think I may have complicated my question. The 12v wire from the switch panel wiring harness? What did you connect that to? Is that wire bypassing your relay/fuse and straight to the battery, or is it somehow running through your fuse block and relays?

    • @jasonmurray9380
      @jasonmurray9380  7 місяців тому

      @@orbeaoiz Oh I got you! Yes I routed that back to the fuse and relay box. The box I chose also contains several fuse-only channels for stuff like this. So the connections are +12 wire coming out of the switch panel to a fuse in the box, then from the fuse to the battery. Because everything connected to the battery should be fused.

    Looking at adding Lights to my F150 and this video is best by far... Do you have a PN for the Eaton Fuse and Relay Box? Thanks

    • @jasonmurray9380
      @jasonmurray9380  5 років тому +1

      Thanks. The fuse box part number is 15303-2-6-4-NG. You will have to install and wire your own fuses and relays, since the kit that comes with all that stuff pre-installed is no longer made.

    Where did u order the wiring harness for the ford motor craft aux switches? I have switch panel just not the connector or wiring harness!

    • @jasonmurray9380
      @jasonmurray9380  4 роки тому

      You can find the connector from lots of sources, try Googling the part number I put up on the screen. It comes with the wire leads. As for the harness, I made it myself since I have some soldering skills.

    Would this have been easier to use the cubby on the left side of the radio instead? I am about to do this mod. I just noticed you have a control in the left cubby, my 2011 xlt doesn't have that.

    • @jasonmurray9380
      @jasonmurray9380  2 роки тому

      Yes! I agree that would be a better spot for it because it would be easier to reach. However, if your truck has the tow package, that's where the trailer brake control is.

      @@jasonmurray9380 Thanks for the reply, I do have a tow package, is the trailer break controller right behind the drivers side cubby? Wouldm't it be easier moving the controller instead of cutting out metal?

    • @jasonmurray9380
      @jasonmurray9380  2 роки тому

      @@mtnman8364 I'm not sure what's behind the break controller, although I imagine it wouldn't be too hard to move it over to the cubby and put the switches in its place.

    All the neutrals from the lights just go back to the battery?

    • @jasonmurray9380
      @jasonmurray9380  3 роки тому

      Yep, or you can just attach them to any grounded part of the chassis.

      Is there a specific type or gauge of 5 and 2 conductor cords that you used?
