No. Not just a slump. It's not a risk worth taking come playoffs. He gave the #9 batter on the Detroits his first career grand slam then today he gave a nobody their 6th homerun and so many more blown saves. Sadly, he is cooked. Hopefully he is accepting and willingly steps down from closer and allow one of our many talented pitchers such as Adam or Scott to become closer. For months it's been embarrassing having that lights out elite grand entrance for him when he constantly comes out giving up hits to people who typically hardly ever hit. He's a 1 trick pony and is a huge liability if he closes for us in playoffs.
You’ve got to be kidding me… are you dumb. ? Suarez is a liability, it was only a matter of time until this happened. He relies on one pitch and speed .if you saw the playoffs in 2022 (you probably didn’t ) then you would have seen him blow a game vs the Phillies to eliminate us

Robert Suarez can't get better unless he can throw another pitch for a strike. People are teeing off on his fastball.
Suarez, tighten it up, you’re a closer but it looks like you want to be a middle reliever.

Suarez is ice cold...no emotion...and i like that for a closer...i think they are waiting to make the PS and then he'll include the off speed stuff and be dominant.......well see
So he's blown many saves because he's waiting for PS? Hopefully, Shildt makes the right call and takes him out of that role. We have so many other talented pitchers who can dominate and actually deserve the elite grand lights out entrance that Suarez currently gets. Bottom of the lineup on some of the most terrible teams getting their first grand slams and homeruns off of him. He has one trick, and even the nobody's have figured it out. Huge liability is what Suarez is.
Use suarez whit more runs ahead in the last innings and no more as a closer!!👎👎
