Shildt spent 20 plus years with the St Louis Cardinals, one of the story book organizations in all of baseball. He knows and understands the game in and out. And that includes player development. We are so fortunate to have him on our team for many years to come.
Just goes to show you what a difference a manager makes. Melvin was a joke and was not pushing the team. Schildt is holding his guys accountable and talking about things communicating. You notice how after an AB they talk to each other now? Didn't see that under Melvin.
Mike Schildt is an amazing manager and he gets his players to play the best that they can be and rise to the occasion . We never had this energy with Bob Melvin, he used to be that manager but he’s lost it. Thankfully we have a team that has energy, drive and doesn’t give up. This team is the best that AJ has put together and even with all the injuries this year look where we are . Thank you Mike Schildt, AJ and all the Padres for an amazing 2024
Milquetoast Melvin was just the worst. His post game interviews were better than a warm glass of milk to put you to sleep. Him and the Giants deserve each other.
@@Twitch760 at first I really loved it when BoMel arrived to Padres…but loved it even more when he decided to leave. Something about the way a manager vibes with a veteran/youthful team has really been exposed with this season and last season’s results. I truly love that Mike Schildt is the new captain of this ship.

Mike Schildt + AJ Preller = synergy for awesome Padres’ baseball.

All them Preller haters looking ridiculous right about now. This team is stacked across the board.
