Wow amazing video mate😍✌️🧢
To say that I am excited for this would be an understatement!!! I am so excited to come out to Ohio and make this deal happen thank you guys for the opportunity to collaborate and restore this 57 back to its original glory!!! See you guys soon!!!
Cant wait Robby!
Never heard of you, probably be outside rusting again like all the others
Excited to see robbie restore it
@@violettheorgangrinder You obviously don't know Robbie. Not only will it be running again, I'm betting on an awesome paint job! You might want to look him up on UA-cam. If he says it will get done, it gets done. And he's kind of a perfectionist, so things get done well. I can't wait to see what he does with this old gal.
I watched the Golden Nugget build and followed Robby since. I didn't realize this gem of a channel was in my own back yard. While Robby and family are in town, I hope you can take him to some local landmarks and international staples like Slymans, and some Parma staples, etc. Looking forward to exploring this channel and watching what Robby and company have in store for this car.
Robby Layton! Yes!!!! He is the Man!!!
I know robbie from...Matt's off road recovery when he painted the golden nugget!! 💪🏽💪🏽I watch all of yall shows faithfully!!! GOD BLESS ALL OF YALL!!
None other robby Layton!!!!! The king of professional.
Now you guys need to pick up a media blaster to clean up the body. That is super satisfying to watch
Dude, that car is long gone
@@Tenkaichibudokai22 well, its not gone its Only in a "bad shape"...with some work on It this can be like new again..
Stop promoting your fake videos under good ones! Well how is Foxclean doing with products from Alibaba and btw where is Huxley?
@@Jennifer-yy2ri I meant that the WD guys no longer have it.
@@Tenkaichibudokai22ops, sorry
I'm a new viewer to this channel! This 57 Bel-Air is one of my all time favorite cars ever built! Nice job getting it cleaned up to this point. It is in far better shape than I expected it would be. That collapsed garage must have protected it for many years before it came down.
Robby Layton will bring this beauty back to a state better than when I came off the assembly line! I'm so excited to see its transformation and end result.
@RobbyLayton is also a great person. He also restored a 1995 Chevrolet Cheyenne 4x4 to new condition after the owner died in the crash that totaled the truck. He restored it for free for the son of the owner. Very touching story.
I'm a Layton subscriber so it's kind of cool to see it rescued from the grave before it shows up on his channel. I'm sure Robby will treat her right as his paint and body work is truly amazing. Also his whole team appear to be pretty genuine folks helping out in his community as much as they can. Cheers good luck and continued success with your channel.
WHAAAT?!? This car is gonna get DONE!! The Golden Nugget was AWESOME!!!
😉
Tbh I was team WD was going to restore it but still nice to know someone was up for the challenge...
I've been watching Robby Layton since the Banana's paint job so I knew who it was from the first pixilated picture. It's really cool you guys get to collab, he's the perfect person for the job!
Never heard of him
@@violettheorgangrinder He owns a body shop in Utah. Him and his crew make videos on their special projects. He's most famous for his work on "The Golden Nugget" a restoration project of an old Suzuki that took place across three different UA-cam channels starting with Matt's off Road Recovery. He was even invited to bring it to last year's SEMA show.
Golly! Do I wish I could have my old 72 grand prix cleaned, fixed up and brought back to it's former glory!
Thank you for keeping the cars in need of tlc from being lost. 👊
I would have guessed Dan Short from Phantom Works in Virginia. He and his crews restorations are incredible!
I'm subscribed to 100s of UA-cam car channels and never heard of that youtuber till now lol
I just new it was going to be him . Don't know how . But I did . I watch his channel everyday . Great guy. And the hole crui .
Wat a great job guys will done ✌️👍🌟🌟🌟
Dream car and I’d want to find it like this and fix it up just the same can’t wait to see the resto vids
Awesome Barn Find! My first car was a '57 Belair ! Mine was Red
Robbie is the perfect person to restore this vehicle. Cannot wait to see it after he gets the Charger done.
Stick to detailing, you guys murdered those door locks and the metal on the door. Looks like a bullet hole. Just made a lot more work for the next guy.
You were inside the car. ✔️
Now, take to door panel off, soak the mechanisms down and start working the door handle. Maybe a little heat, then spray with cold water, have a beer and repeat until you get angry and irritated. Then STOP!! Soak the linkage and everything down with PB oil again and repeat the process the next day or day after.
It might take a day or a week. Be patient!! I’ve spent days on just one bolt.
Darn. Next time we'll have to call you to do it Andrew
@@WDDetailing anytime, I’ll bring the beer. 🍺
I am confident that you guys will get the car up and running 😇😇🎉🎉🎉💃💃🕺🕺
I would definitely put some modern-day upgrades to it like the engine suspension with modern-day touches these are some of the best looking cars out there
So awesome. Great job guys.
Thanks guys for the part 2 hopefully we can see the Bel Air after it is refurbished bet it will look great
That guy needs to go watch the movie Christine glad to see the cars coming back to the guy that left in the garage like that
This is my favorite car ever, and has been my whole life! Can’t wait to see this! One day I will own one!
Good for Robbie
It's always great to see two UA-camrs that I watch all the time combine for a revival! Thanks for listening to tons of fans and giving this car a second chance!
Never heard of either of them. It was a recommended video.
@@vincemajestyk9497 I'm sure that you will like both of them.
@@braxtonnelson7422 That guy doesn't look old enough to shave. I've already got enough 'shop' and 'resto garage' channels and am burned out on the ones I have. They're ALL the same but have a different schtick. 'Roadkill' knockoff's or some such thing. It's ALL been done before. The 'rough, unkempt ploughboy with the Aw shucks, 'A Guy' clownish hand gestures' demeanor. It's OK for a while, then the surragate posers follow thinking they can repeat it. Everybody's gotta have a forum and tell the world what they think these days hungering for the click counters and sponsors. As a rule I usually don't even watch 'Detail' videos. This one was a recommendation by some alorithm.
Que buen trabajo, la verdad, fanático de tus videos, me encantan. Ojalá y sigan actualizando por videos o la pestaña de comunidad como va a terminar ese fierro oxidado! Saludos desde argentina
@wd_detailing765 What a great job, really, a fan of your videos, I love them. Hopefully they continue to update through videos or the community tab, how will that rusty iron end up! Greetings from Argentina
Oh my goodness. You got the car out before the barn roof collapsed
A really hard work to open up the doors without the key! Wow!
So cool. I have always wanted you guys to take it to the next level and restore some of the barn finds! This is must watch TV!
That’s great I already watch Robbie’s stuff so can’t wait to see the chev rebuild should be so much easier than the golden nuggets and maybe a lot cheaper
That's awesome!
Robbie Layton announced that he will be restoring it. It will be beautiful when Robby gets through with it! He is a restoration perfectionist.
Will probably get FabRats to do some work on it also.. going to be awesome
Awesome! I think Mr. Beast is going to buy it
@RobbyLayton has an attention to detail when restoring a car that is 2nd to none. If you haven't seen his videos, they're really worth checking out. He completely restored an old Suzuki Jeep that was abandoned in a forest for 40 years to concours standards.
Part 3!!!!!!!

This made me subscribe
After five years of coming back from overseas I wasn't even there two hours and I seen some kid running all the way to my house are you the lady that owns that car and I go how do you know about that car he goes I've been watching that car for five years I should really I said you want that car he goes yes I says well I need some money goes with how much I asked him how old he was he said he was 15 I said where you better go get your dad come over here and bring me $250 because that's what I paid for it to have it towed here so if you hurry up and go get your dad bring me $250 I'll give you the title right now if you got 10 minutes got a dad now that now looked at my phone my God I went to school with him oh my God
It absolutely will start Carl Fernandes from Mumbai India
"CHRISTINE" Yes! Based on a Stephen King book.
That car was a 58 Plymouth Fury in the movie.
learned something new!
Book was way better than the movie but that’s usually the case
@@mikemiller3007 if you try to get the feeling in the description of a book in a movie...
It would be an 8 hour movie.
I am also restoring a 1957 Chevy belair and a 1969 olds 88 with a 455 rocket my 4dr 57 was in worse shape then this 1 come to find out it's a numbers match 283 V8 all parts on motor and trans are from the day it was made 7/26/1957
Flex Seal the Entire Car!!! Yahoo!!!!!!!
😂😂
Wow that is some suction on that cleaner
part 3 please
If you look closely, there was a bug crawling around by the radio when RJ was working on cleaning the dash. Very surprised ol girl turned over. Part 2 was what we needed super necessary ^_^
Es mi modelo favorito, Chevrolet Bel Air 1957,
New points might help or rub a dime between the points to give them some usable contact metal.
ABANDONED BARN FIND First Wash In 30 Years Bel Air Sport Coupe! Satisfying Car Detailing Restoration
Took my hat ride on a,57 Chevy cover table I was 10 yrs old
Actually the car above is NOT a BelAir, but a 210 Sport Coupe, more rare than a BelAir. Look a a 1957 BelAir photo, and you will immediately see the differences. My first car was a '57 BelAir Sport Coupe 2-door hardtop at age 16. Even though the dash has BelAir script, it is missing the aluminum trim in the center of the dash.
Robbie Layton
Car movies you may not have seen with '57 Chevy's... "Catch Me If You Can" from 1989 starring Matt Lattanzi (Olivia Newton-John's ex-husband) and Geoffrey Lewis, and "The Hollywood Knights" from 1980 starring Tony Danza, Michelle Pfeiffer, Fran Drescher and Robert Wuhl. Go watch them now.
Sweet! I'll check them out
Robbie is the perfect person for the job
Been watching him for a long time now and he's next level skill with his team
Couldn't agree more! We cant wait for him to restore it
I wonder how many first dates the original owner of that vehicle had before he died of spider bites 😂😂
Get vise grip garage to get it running for you
Cant wait to see this thing restored. I started on my grandfathers 63 Impala a few years ago but got sick and cant finish it, gotta live vicariously through youtube now.
Gut it!
Is it a true bel aire or an upbadged 210 or something? All the bel airs I have seen from 57 have the big wing stainless trim on the quarters and the lower trim levels have that trim setup. I’m certain if I’m wrong someone will correct me or post a link for me to do research
How much do I need to pay for DC heavy ?? Don g
ROBBIE LAYTONis the man to restore it, I watch his channel and he restored this kid's dad truck
You've never seen Christine??? Oh dear!!!
Robbie Layton is the right person this car should go to, very exited!!!
Clean the ballast resister contacts, the white rectangular item just to the left of the master cylinder and she may fire right up.
Right!
A trick. ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS do a detail before you get a bid on body and paint work. The worse the car looks....the higher the bid!!
So happy there was a part two made because I just got done with the first part and I’ll like wait that’s it? 😂
Great job on cleaning up the car in part 1, and getting into the car in part 2. I've watched many "barn find" videos in the last few years, but I've never seen a video where it took 4 hours just to get into the car! I'm not familiar with @RobbyLayton, but I will definitely check out his restoration videos. Thanks for the link.
Just one question, why didn't you just completely remove the back seat, both the back and the cushion, from the car? I've got to admit the back of the seat cleaned up pretty well, but I'm sure there is "crud" behind the back of the seat just like there is in the rest of the car. Maybe you did remove the back, too,
after the video, but you just wanted to demonstrate how nice the back of the seat looked with a relatively easy cleanup. Just curious.
The floors looked better than I expected. The original color looks pretty awesome -- some type of seashore green or Baltic blue. Correction, looks like it was Biscay blue iredescent.
Yeah same here and it looks like the car may have been repainted a few times
My jaw dropped when Robby came on the screen! I've watched him since he did the Banana. I'm sooo happy he's doing it! He will do a fabulous job and I will definitely watch it.
Awesome video !!!!!
Yeah
Thanks!!
Subscribing... wanting to see a part 3 + ... Going to be a fun journey to travel with you all to see this car restored. Great stuff guys!
🤩
nice to see someone really trying to restore a vehicle with heart instead of just replacing everything in sight
Robby Layton needs to fix this
I've A Movie Called "Christine" (1983)
Oh this is going to be so fun to get this to Robby Layton. Lotta fun and great project here!
Wooow... Robby Layton. I never thought you even know him. Super. I looking forward for extremly good Videos.
Yep! 👀
You guys should do full restoration on your cars . Something new some ideas instead of washing them . Just idea for you
You really need to use a camera stand to hold it still. The shaking really makes it hard to watch.
4:39 What happened to his arm??
Very interesting video I'm glad for the part 2
Man when you said a UA-camr was going to fully restore it I thought it would be Derick from vice grip garage or junkyard digs
Robbey Layton
Good.jop 👏👏👏👏
I can't think of his name but he did the body work for the golden nugget it was a car that was underneath water for a long time... Ed's car I think his name is robby
I don't think this is a Bel-Air. It doesn't have the Bel Air filigreed triangular-shaped aluminum panel on the rear quarter panels between the two moldings. It appears to be a "Two-Ten" model, which was Chevy's middle range trim level, between the "One-Fifty" (bottom of the line) and the Bel Air (top of the line). Also no '57 Chevys had bucket seats. Bench seats only in '57.
The cylinders should have been filled with mystery oil first before anything. And holding a bottle of gas over the carb when trying to start is a huge NO NO. FIRE DANGER 101!!!! Sorry just sayin. Been working on junk for 50 years.
2:04 into this video, I'm exiting, can't stand to watch you kids destroy a classic.
I agree with you because the door panel could’ve been pulled off and they could’ve undone the locking mechanism from inside the door but they decided to destroy the sheet metal. Even drilling out the lock would’ve been less damaging than what they did
Now remember guys, this ain't no 87 Buick Regal, it's a Classic, ALL AMERICAN Vintage Hot Rod, so don't put big stupid ghetto hoopty wheels and low pro tires, bags or hydraulics! It demands respect.
Ii was betting it had no floors I was so wrong
Another one holy chips looks exactly like the bel air a week ago Talent.
Robby Layton to the rescue
Nice
This is gonna be a great build for all You-tubers.
Robby Layton of course...
Cummins swap it like mine
They way that fool was tugging on that window! 😬 nice car, leave her as is, it’s only original once
I’m sure it’s been mentioned before, but you guys keep calling this 210 a Bel Air. Why? The plaque on the dash?
