When I met Dave Mustaine, he was a grumpy that day. It was at a signing for the record So Far, So Good, So What. I put a picture from a magazine in front of him to sign, and he nudged the bass player, and they both laughed. Mustaine told me the story behind that photo. He also told me he couldn't wait for that photo shoot to be over that day. It was cool to watch him go from grumpy to laughing. He was actually a nice guy to me. I gave that picture to my friend, and I kept the Peace Sells cassette that him and bassist Dave Ellefson signed for me.
This is one of my all time favourite songs from Megadeth, thank you so much for reacting to this :) Also, the lyrics are super contemporary now, once again :( Almost all of Megadeth's lyrics are very impactful and meaningful, and many of them are "rage against the machine" type of songs about injustices Mustaine has noticed going around him ps. a random trivia, Dave Mustaine has Finnish ancestry, his last name used to be Mustonen before they changed it to Mustaine. Dave looks almost like the lost identical twin of Mika Häkkinen, the Finnish Formula1 world champion. Mustaine also was a founding member of Metallica, and he wrote a lot of the material in their early hits
The best way I can explain Metal music to those new to it is there are two types of metal bands, regardless of subgenre, those who who are musically trained and those who aren't. The latter tend to be more common. Megadeth, this line up in particular (which many, myself included, consider to be THE line up) is insane in terms of musical understanding. Bass player David Ellefson was a student at the Berkley School of Music before joining the band. Guitar player Marty Friedman studies literally everything. Just 100 percent dedicated to understanding his craft to this day. Drummer Nick Menza was once a student of Drum and Jazz legend Buddy Rich. And front man Dave Mustaine famously was the original Ax man for Metallica but like Marty also studies everything and has gone on record saying he loves classical musicians like Antonio Vivaldi for the way he composed his music and how fast he was able to write violin parts. Put those 4 with backgrounds like that in a room together who all want to write very musical but aggressive music and that's how you get something like this.
Fun fact: In the early 90's, Al Gore's wife "Tipper" and the P.M.R.C. were trying to get "naughty language" banned from music, but all they got was the "Parental Advisory" labels. The singer of Megadeth "Dave Mustaine", Twisted Sister singer "Dee Snyder" and "John Denver" testified before Congress on behalf of free speech. John Denver's testimony was the most powerful because he HATED profanity and vulgar lyrics, but he loved free speech.
Suggestions for Megadeth?Oh boy do I have suggestions for Megadeth songs:There’s one called Kingmaker which,in addition to sounding great,is deeply meaningful,as many of their songs are. There’s one about Dave’s’ love of skydiving called High Speed Dirt, another great one is called Lying in State. They also do a(highly sexualized) cover of Nancy Sinatra’s These Boots and a great cover of Ain’t Superstitious. That should help you in your Megadeth journey. Here’s to ya!
INSTANT LIKE!!! 😊😊😊 I actually just bought tickets to Megadeth just a couple days ago for me & my gf. They just announced that they're on tour! I'm gonna go see them in Concord, CA on August 10th. Live Nation has a sweet offer for them only lasting for 2 more days! $25 per ticket!
So stoked that new fans of my favorite band continue to emerge. It's so hard to select songs for you to experience next. Seems like I should stay with an up tempo song. I know, from their latest album, you should check out Night Stalkers featuring Ice T , it's about one of our military's elite fighting group. For a switch-it-up song, it's gotta be Sweating Bullets. Last pick is going to be the song Trust. This one is more like a pop song and very radio friendly. It's a stark contrast in style but equally great in the writing. These 3 songs I believe would all be considered top songs. I like many of their lesser known songs but that can be for another day.
And that’s amazing, all we can hope for is for the Gospel to reach as many hearts as possible. It’s still valid criticisms to consider though. I’ll be open and say I do think there are circumstances which call for meaningful retaliation in a religious way. The first few crusades were like this, Islam was taking over the Middle East, absolutely obliterating any other religions in their path. They were starting to breach Europe and Christendom would be wiped out if we just sat around letting it happen. So we pushed them back and even saved a few of the groups left, like the Eastern Orthodox and Armenians. This does not excuse any heinous crimes committed during those crusades though. They deserve full condemnation.
The story behind them being shirtless is they filming in a warehouse in Arizona, I think, during the summer and the a/c wasn’t working. Since they already had all the equipment there, they decided to just take off their shirts and go for it.
Ok Donna my mother Cathy and me now know by now what your favorite bands so far are which are Judas priest Megadeth and wintersun which shows you have great taste in music which I hope lulu helped put those bands on your playlist right ? And considering you just listened to the music you were used to before reacting here but it's nice that you are having a good time doing it too . Thank you wintersun Alex ❄️❤️
They have a great song to help people with mental health and emotional issues so check out "Sweating Bullets" Official Music Video as well as "In My Darkest Hour"
Sweating Bullets, and Symphony of Destruction for sure! Don’t feel bad Donna, my exactly the same with heights. She hates open stairways, and if we have to cross an open walkway, she has to close her eyes and hold my hand until we get across.
MEGADETH Line-up 1990 Dave Mustaine: Guitars, Lead Vocals Marty Friedman: Guitars David Ellefson: Bass, Backing Vocals Nick Menza: Drums, Backing Vocals Cheers from CHILE!!!
Y'all three is so awesome. But appreciate that Nana sees the great musicianship. See the leader (Blonde) always wanna hire or get a guitar player as good as him or better cuz that's how you attain greatness.
Yes, so tell NANA "Have a nice glass of wine or tall boy Budweiser and play Metallica album "Master's of Puppets and Megadeth "Rust in Peace". They are works of art, master pieces actually since she appreciate great musicianship. 😅
If you're enjoying thrash metal, there are SO many bands you could listen too. For starters, listen to Testament. To begin with, my suggestions would be Practice What You Preach, Electric Crown, Native Blood, The Ballad, Souls Of Black, Into The Pit.
The greatest thing to ever happen to Dave Mustaine, the lead singer, was being fired from Metallica. And holy crap this song couldn’t be more relevant than right now. A lot of what you see I. This video has to do with Israel being mistreated in the Middle East. You’ll see video of Yassir Arafat making calls to arms and battles.
No it's not, it's about all religious wars in general, and when he wrote it originally it was due to the troubles in Northern Ireland. Let's face it, religion is a sick and twisted joke, blinding people to accept their shitty present for a possible golden future, keeping them controlled, subservient and accepting of the status quo.
And Kathy calm down young lady. You always get a little too enthusiastic when you see men sweating with no shirts. My mom Cathy just finds that so funny. Wintersun Alex ❄️❤️😁
My mum is in her 70s now and she went out and bought Metallica S & M album and she loves it Metallica with a orchestra strongly recommended it for you to checkout great reaction ladies keep on Rockin 🇬🇧🇺🇲🤟🤪plus don't forget this is pure talent no auto tune like it is today cheating everyone
Dave Mustaine was really on a mission to out-do Metallica, his former band that fired him before their 1st album came out in 1983... Megadeth gave Mustaine that opportunity to create music without compromising w/ his bandmates and even though Megadeth was never bigger than Metallica, he single-handedly made a career for himself w/ various Megadeth line-ups and is recognized as a top-tier songwriter and riff master... To give u an idea of how difficult it is to break big after leaving a major band... Jason Newsted (bass) left Metallica in 2001 and has not seen that level of success since... Joe Belladonna (vocals) of Anthrax had no luck as a solo artist after he was fired from the band in 1992... Dave Lombardo (drums) was fired from Slayer in 1992 and launched a new band Grip Inc. which never made it big... Krist Novoselic (bass) of Nirvana had released several records after Nirvana ended in 1994 but never saw any commercial success... etc. etc.
Hello ladies! First time on your channel. Megadeth brings many people together. Have you heard of or done any reactions to Avatar? Request Please, Avatar - Hail The Apocalypse
Cool off ladies you're getting a little too feisty, 😂 Many of their songs are much deeper and meaningful than most metal bands or any bands as far as that goes. Check out Peace Sells, Skin O My Teeth and my fav Seating Bullets. Just 3 of many great songs.
Megadeth is my all-time favorite to me there's never been a band that walked on this planet like make a death but I hate Metallica Metallica done him wrong they stole his music they stoled everything from him and then he went out and formed a band called Megadeth and now he's the top person on the planet

This one you'll find is the most requested Megadeth song on UA-cam. Even the ones not to familiar with Megadeth know this one.
You've gotta do "Tornado Of Souls" - it contains arguably the greatest guitar solo of all time... :)

Dave Mustaine wrote strong meaningful lyrics.
u guys are great, love the hard stuff. peace from oregon
Thanks
This is one of my favourite Megadeth songs!❤❤
The best forever
Dave Mustaine is now a born again Christian. I thought, you young ladies would find interesting. Funny how sometimes things come full circle.
Yeah, he is a nutter now, pushing for the same death cult shit the first half of the song was against. 😂😂😂
And that’s amazing, all we can hope for is for the Gospel to reach as many hearts as possible.
It’s still valid criticisms to consider though. I’ll be open and say I do think there are circumstances which call for meaningful retaliation in a religious way. Mustaine is an avid skydiver, he even wrote a song about it, High Speed Dirt.
LMAO.Its about suicide jumper.Theres even splat sound at the end.Its cute you think it about skydive.
@@kenbean75 True, but the music video shows them skydiving.
I didn't know dat.
He's not avid.. He did it for a year or 2 and hasn't done it since.. Stopped doing it by the mid 90s.
Its literally about skydiving and your chute doesn't open and you die. Fucking knobend!
From megadeath songs to react: Hangar 18, Peace Sells, Sweating Bullets, Symphony Of Destruction,
Megadeth - a tout le monde is a must

best Megadeth song imo, second is this one at least for me
The story behind them being shirtless is they filming in a warehouse in Arizona, I think, during the summer and the a/c wasn’t working. Since they already had all the equipment there, they decided to just take off their shirts and go for it.

I would suggest hangar 18 by megadeth if you haven’t already done it. It’s got MANY guitar solos in a short song.
Dave Mustaine shreds Metallica in every way possible dude is a freaking Legend
Megadeth are still going strong, in their 60s now, must play Hanger 18 next!

I miss Lulu. But......I love watching Kathy dancing in her chair.
Fuego 🔥
I'm thinking Good Mourning/Black Friday or Hook In Mouth-next.
I know people will compare them to metallica but Megadeth has a more edge when it comes to politics and melody.
This was filmed in an airplane hanger and it was like 100 degrees outside.
Try literally ANYTHING of the Rude Awakening live show. I know yall like looking at the band. 😊 it's same show She Wolf u saw ☘️

Or
“The Legacy” by Testament
It's great to know the music I've loved since I was a kid has still stud the test of time were all the pop junk bands of that time have faded away

How did the open shows with this when they were all messed up on booze and drugs.... ?? I can't imagine opening a show with this period!
