The price tag becomes less of a factor when the bike lasts more than a season. With the amount of adjustability it has (and fewer hard wearing components), it could last up to 3 years. Factor in all the service costs of a regular 50 and you got yourself a deal.
That bike is gonna take over the 50 class! As a former 50 parent, if they told me that I didn’t have to mess with a centrifugal clutch anymore....done deal!!!! Not having to buy TWO different 50’s because of the classes....done deal! No more mixing gas, chains sprockets, standing the bike on end to start it, kicking it, etc.... Then the NOISE, don’t get me wrong, I love the sound and smell of 2t’s but the 50’s noise make me cringe!! My kid rode Cobra’s and I COULDN’T STAND THE NOISE!!! The loudest bike I’ve ever owned!!!
skidjs your right about the chains and sprockets. My mistake. After putting 3 kids, at 3 different times through the 50 class, I would’ve given anything to avoid those bikes. I almost held the 3rd kid out of racing until he was big enough for the 65 class.
These will be so convenient and save a lot of frustration. Last week my son crashed and he couldn’t get the bike started. 5 kids got by him. This would have saved him 5 positions.
I think charging it right after a race will kill the battery in short order. The battery will need some time to cool because it appears that it is passively cooled. Super awesome bike and I'm really considering one for my daughters. I wish they had a slightly larger size with bigger wheels.
I think it is a bad idea not having a 10 inch front wheel. Getting kids started out on e-bikes in the 4-6 age group / beginner class is super important for the sport. That 12 inch wheel is only good for the 7-9 and open classes where kids are on the average super gnarly on a gas bike already.
I mean its cool yeah , sure good for the enviroment and what not. But for me growing up in the 80´s and 90´s a piston two stroke, fourstroke is okey, but anyway a piston bike is still motocross for me. Not that i have anything against eletric bike that i"hate" it. But lets be honest here in the future 40 guys lines up on on the gate with electrical bikes? How exciting would that be for the crowd not so much.
@@Dragonpops if you are running a gasoline engine in the generator to electrically charge a lithium battery over and over hours at a time, that is definitely not more efficient that just running the gasser. C’mon man, your ass sounding like Joe Biden now.
its a cool idea but its not ideal for hard core 50cc racers, only 25 mins of battery life when u race, thats very short and on top of that u dont want to waste 1 hour of riding times every 25 mins u use ur bike, I still love the idea of gas bikes.
Fucking wish I could afford this for my lad, sick of rebuilding parts of his grizzly 50 engine, especially the clutch. Bye bye engine rebuilds and hello electric bikes...
What a waste 25 minutes of ride time lol that is a joke and I cant believe they even let that be advertised you get one moto out of the battery life lol

Good point!
I need about 4 of those for my backyard.
Vlog Epicness best bike for a pit bike build
Please make a bigger version mx bike. I am tired of dirty air filters, oil changes and engine rebuilds.

Still has chains and sprockets. Dont think for a second that being a moto parent will be any easier.

E bikes going to save the industry. Imagine being able to ride in or near urban centers or indoors?
As soon as I read stand the bike on end to start I knew you were talking about a cobra 😂

I wonder if this bike is a hint to a full sized e-bike in the future🤔
they make a fullsized electric freeride already.

i agree with you to a point. But getting a younger generation to start riding is the ultimate goal here. At least i think...
He said fifty fourty nine? Hmmmm
The generator running it to charge it completely reverses the whole pollution reason to have electric
Not completely, still more efficient to charge it with a generator compared running a gasoline 50
@@Dragonpops until you realize the generation runs off of gas for an hour straight between motors..
Motos
@@realmmfc well duh, how else do you charge it. Regardless, still more efficient.

It has big advantages, but having your generator on all the time to recharge it, just shifts the noise and polution part when at the track...
This bike is not made for long desert rides.
No 2t.... no party

Electric bikes suck.
