That fluon could last up to a year? Mine could only last 2 or 3 months,my colony isn't that big either is there any secret on the application D colony to make it last longer?

Hello D Colony, I have a few questions about my ants, hope you can help me :D
Camponotus fedtschenkoi: Recently I buyed this colony and it arrived with 2 workers and a few brood. But, one of the workers died and the biggest larvae also died. Now the colony have just 1 worker, Queen and some eggs, do you think this is normal for the beggining? Can the colony recuperate in a few weeks?
Tetramorium caespitum: I also buyed from the same seller as the C. fedtschenkoi, but this colony was supposed to come with a lot of workers, but when it arrived all the workers had died and the only one alive was the Queen. Until now she didn't layed any eggs, do you think the Queen can lay more eggs or she will die in a few months? (I keep feeding her, but I also can't brood boost since T. caespitum doesn't exist in my country Brazil)

This isn't normal buddy, this are added risk when shipping ants cause of the stress of travel. For the camponotus, I think the chance still great that she can recover. But for the tetramorium it will be hard as she already had workers before, but you can still try to feed her every 3 to 4 days and see if she will be able to recover and lay eggs.

Do you keep your ants in an air conditioned room? I'm just curious about the effectiveness of the fluon in tropical climates. I live in Singapore and I am still looking for a barrier that is long lasting and easy to reapply.
Nope buddy, they're on a hot room reaching 35°C in the afternoon, I'm only running an electric fan for them from 11am to 7 to 8 pm depending on the temperature.
@@Dcolony how do you reapply the fluon to such a active colony? You need to remove the old fluon first right?
I apply it from the top of the lid buddy, this one had a flippable cover ant farm which is good for this swarming specie.

Offer additional queen buddy, though inbreeding is on their nature.
