ISLE OF DOGS tells the story of ATARI KOBAYASHI, 12-year-old ward to corrupt Mayor Kobayashi. When, by Executive Decree, all the canine pets of Megasaki City are exiled to a vast garbage-dump called Trash Island, Atari sets off alone in a miniature Junior-Turbo Prop and flies across the river in search of his bodyguard-dog, Spots. There, with the assistance of a pack of newly-found mongrel friends, he begins an epic journey that will decide the fate and future of the entire Prefecture.

*I'm the one who bites*
@Kingchoo's Rolling Studios Late, but can't believe nobody said it was breaking bad
So I’m guessing no one in this comment section has seen or heard of Breaking Bad?
This is one magnificent movie: a plot with elements of humor, humanity and logic flow; a work of art with the ingenuity and total craftmanship of the whole production crew, from the music to the animation phase. This movie is a cinematic masterpiece.
I forgot the last time i watch a movie that felt like a movie
I liked it too.
Luckily, this movie was in netflix
Very well said 👏
“What ever happen to man’s best friend?”
"Not fair to the boy. Not fair to the dogs."
Nice account name
Damn that’s harsh
That really got me
Clice
Before we preorder the movie maybe we should watch if it's worth it
9:39 minutes later
Ok it's worth it
Totally worth it
It’s a fantastic movie. Most definitely worth the purchase. First movie I watched in theaters twice even
i see what u did there

I love how each of their names is a term in relation to a leader. Chief, Boss, Duke, King, Rex(A reigning king)
alpha dogs
Kings of the isle?
Never heard of a Rex before. Why not Mayor or Baron?
@@chasformer3091 Mayor or Baron, while appropriate names, would not be the highest rank befitting the “Leader” of the group.
@@chasformer3091 you have, however, heard of a tyrannosaurus rex - King Tyrant Lizard
I like how the Mayor, despite being against the cientist, but still asks respect from the audience.

That's just good leadership. He has provided a solution, but does not condemn opposing opinion.

@@littlebigb5370 No, he just has his opponent assassinated and set up as a suicide. _Respecto!_
@@noneofyourbeeswax01 Welp... probably shoulda watched the movie rather acting like I knew what I was talking about from a 9-minute clip.
Gotta love how Chief lets them complain, and only cuts in when they start discussing suicide. They're his pack, no way he's gonna let them end it if he can help it.

This BETTER give Wes Anderson his first Oscar. Either for best writing or best Animated Feature. Also best Score by Alexandre Desplat
Alexandre Desplat definitely put out his best score in Isle of Dogs.
Connor Morley he’s my favorite composer by far, and I love the chemistry he has with Wes. But this is not his best.
I agree to disagree; I just find his score for Isle of Dogs to be more catchy and memorable than his score for The Shape of Water.
Connnor Morley I like the scores for both Isle of Dogs and Shape of Water.
Asa King as much as I love this movie. It's gonna go to Incredibles 2 or Wreck it Ralph 2. Anyway best animated feature 2018 is gonna be an incredible dogfight that will break the internet
This movie hits a little different in 2020😗

I wish more movies were made in this style of practicle animation. So unique, quirky, you just can't take your eyes off the screen.
It’s horrifically expensive and pain stakingly slow but absolutely gorgeous
To bad it takes years to complete, there probably is one out there being made, but we won't get to see it for a long time
Awww, you didn’t show the awesome opening titles
Then that would be more than 10 minutes.
DEthe5150 The video isn't 10 minutes
I came here for the awesome drumming sequence. The soundtrack is the next best thing. Great movie.
"10 full minutes"
*video is **9:39** minutes long*
Bastards.
Actually it's 9:39. Get your facts right boy
Mikeydee Noted. Thanks.
Clickbait!! Xd
it is for spoilers
I watched this movie on a plane. It was the best movie I have seen this year.
Elvis Presley same.
Me too! How many others saw this on a plane?
ahhhHh me too! i watched it on my way to japan :D
holy shit. same.
i dunno why but for some reason, i'm never one for a movie guy but sometimes i watch random stuff on planes and the experience is always insanely good.
Damn i saw it on a bus on my way home.
*Isle of Dogs is my favorite film of 2018 so far (out of 100 new releases seen as of this comment) and it is already one of the best films of the 2010s, period. Fox Searchlight, please campaign hard for Wes Anderson to become the first director of an animated film to get nominated for the Best Director Oscar!*
*ACADEMY MEMBERS:* Sorry. We only care about Disney.
We don't give a crap about anything else.
Stop-motion is outdated! Disney matters only!
*ME:* Yeah, well, screw you too, Academy.
FANATIC PLANET Productions *The Best Animated Feature Oscar battle this year mirrors 2009 (Pixar vs. Wes Anderson). It has become the consensus view that Up's masterful first ten minutes vastly overshadows the rest of the film's runtime, both in quality and in memorability. On the other hand, Fantastic Mr. Fox has only gotten better over time. (I don't display that profile pic for nothing.)*
*I liken Best Animated Feature 2009 vs. 2018 to Best Original Screenplay 2009 vs. 2012. In 2009, you'd think Quentin Tarantino would've easily won for Inglourious Basterds, but instead he lost to Mark Boal, who wrote the Best Picture winner The Hurt Locker. 2012 wasn't going to repeat that outcome, especially when Tarantino's Django Unchained is a much tighter script than Basterds and Zero Dark Thirty is no Hurt Locker. And a Tarantino victory was exactly what happened.*
*Like 2012 not repeating 2009 in Best Original Screenplay, I hope 2018 doesn't repeat 2009 in Best Animated Feature. Even without the quiet but growing backlash towards Incredibles 2, if the Academy awards the Best Animated Feature Oscar to Incredibles 2 over Isle of Dogs, I'll be MASSIVELY disappointed. :/*
Growing backlash towards Incredibles 2?
Yeah, I'm actually finding more and more people realizing that it wasn't exactly the masterful sequel for which they had hoped. I had even expressed such thoughts in my own review at the Impacting Culture blog.
I actually bawled my eyes out on the part where they're taking the first dog away
Don't look up what the Chinese do to dogs then
@@SonofTiamat ...
@@SonofTiamat hol'up there Satan .
That scene was very sad.
Lol
This movie has more exposition than character development, which is very odd for Wes Anderson, but it results in an engaging and original plot underlined by a gorgeous world, even if we don't identify with the characters as deeply as his past works. Highly recommend!
Best Film Of 2018 so far
If there isn't a single Upcoming movie that can top it, I.O.D. could be the best 2018 Movie Ever
Didn't it already come out or am i tripping
jxel hereditary is better, this movie is still great tho
I agree
Isle of Dogs is the only movie from 2018 that qualifies as an amazing masterpiece. The only other movies from 2018 that I like so far are Ready Player One and A Quiet Place, both of which aren't amazing, but still good movies on their own right.
I guess you could say life for dogs on trash island is..."ruff"
Hahahaha that's the right level of lame. XD

I love the sneakiness in how "two worm eaten banana peels" despite there being no visible worms implies that the dogs have learned how to differentiate between the different things that could eat the food on its way to them.
Jesus Christ with those symptoms might as well send humanity there too. I'm a cat person but I would fully show no support for dogs being sent to such a place like this... If they didn't have "snout flu" before getting there they will get it now...
I've never seen isle of dogs and I DESPERATELY want to see it.
It’s soooooo good
I would see it but knowing the plot, I don't want to see it because I love dogs.
Cameron Sivret It’s a Wes Anderson movie, there’s no violence against dogs.

When will the Isle of Dogs come out on Netflix in the US?
It was good, I wanna watch it again !!!
Yiki Days thank u
This movies amazing. With as interesting as a concept it takes on and at times it could have come across as total cheese with the mans best friend thing, it ends up working really well. And it does bring up like an interesting philosophy with other things: the fact that we can become so selfish that will do anything just to protect ourselves, no matter what it might do. Or at least that’s one of things I took away from this movie.
OMG! Couldn't be more grateful for this extended preview. As I was searching for all videos related to 'Isle of Dogs', after having watched the movie just today, I found this!
'Isle of Dogs' is by far the best film of 2018. It needs to be viewed multiple times since it is so layered, and much of its beauty lies in the intricately crafted details. Wes Anderson is a genius, and this film is yet another proof of it.
anindo sen you've spoken my mind. I watched it 3 times and each time I paid attention to all the details I missed in the previous one. And it got me everytime, the humor, the logic, humanity... I'll never get bored of this movie. Wes Anderson is truly a genius.

Chief - Stop licking your wounds!
One of the two lines I remember the most from this movie. The other being:

BlueFox94 You’ve forgotten that when Finding Dory was released it wasn’t nominated at the oscars, mainly due to other great original films. And since the films by Disney are sequels, it could have a bit of chance.

There's still one thing that I don't understand about the Municipal Dome: where did the central aisle came from? Am I supposed to assume that the seats were retractable? 🤣 I hope there's a reasonable explanation for this. I'd like to think how that central aisle acts as a key in making a scene a little beautiful, such as an entrance.
