Ooo
We are - Hollywood Undead
Fire from the gods- excuse me
Just do all of Linkin park's albums ik you'll like almost every song
LayedBakDFR easy man Tyler Childers. I told ya imma. Comment on all your new vids until you react to him.
Jay Z face on the way Chester Bennington sings that last line. PRICELESS. RIPChester
Right 😂 had that "I might have to learn that" look
Dude stopped dead for a sec. I love it
The demon came out for a moment and scared the shit out of him.
what is time stamp for it?
That part always cracks me up...he's just like "holy shit dude!!" haha
That's Mike Shinoda. He's really underappreciated for his rap skills.
RJ Clark You misspelled “criminally” He’s *criminally underappreciated
So insanely underrated and underappreciated.
He's awfully underrated, but came here to correct it, and so it ain't mistaken he will state it for the record.
Aamir Khan opposite of weak
Especially since he rapped this live performance his rap skills of gotten twice as good
Jay-z has never heard Chester scream before that moment at the end. His reaction was 100% real and honest when he heard it
he would hear the track but never in real life.. artist and autotune..
The whole show is available to watch. This song was the end of the set. Chester had screamed at least once before during the show.
@@campkira yeah no. You have no idea what autotune is.
Best moment
I love this ❤
This is hands down the best rap-rock collaboration there ever was, and probably will be.
I would agree, except for Denzel Curry's Bulls on Parade cover. One of my favorite covers of all time.
amen brother.....100% agreed!
straight facts
Post malone and ozzy osbourne was pretty good IMO
Naw, go back decades. The Judgment Night soundtrack for example. Aerosmith/Run DMC.... The entire Beastie Boys Career...
Chester helped millions of us with our depression, but millions of us couldn't help him with his... RIP Chester
This comment broke me
We couldn't help him. But all us can help each other bro. Message a stranger like whenever you need
Seriously. This comment is heartbreaking.
We definitely helped him. Without the love from the fans I fear we would have lost him long ago.
wtf now I'm in tears
@@lewiswltrs95 welcome to the club bro
If you watch the actual dvd, you’ll learn that this specific concert was their first show together and due to conflicting schedules, they never got to rehearse and this was all on the fly
Damn
There was rehearsal footage on the DVD too...
That beginning with JayZ "arriving" in the jet. then riding in the rolls and casually walking in..though planned, classic cool JayZ!
True
What's the name of the DVD ?
I was lucky enough to be at this concert live, was 23 or 24 at the time and it was by far the best, livest, close encounter of a concert I've ever been too. It will go down as one of the best times of my life. It's so flipping sad that we will never hear this collab again aside from replays.
Ryan D that would of been amazing to see that in person. I still cry every time I hear Chester's voice 😪
Seriously? I probably would of passed out. Lucky you!
Luckkyyyyyyyyy boyyyy!!!!!
FUCK.
You lucky stiff.
I have never understood why more hip hop artists don't use a live bands. It brings a much bigger energy that you can't replicate any other way.
Hard rock fans wants harder rock, hip hop heads want pure hip hop.
Jay Z always performs with a live band.
beacause you listen the wrong ones
The look on JayZs face at end is priceless. Soon as Chester Bennington finished J looked over like Damn white boy can sing.lol🤘😝🤘
I think JayZ made that face ALOT 😯😏🤯 Even though they were on his label..still SHOCKED!😲
To quote the DVD, whitey can whoo
Yes! Hard not to see it! They collaborated nicely on this. This was all Shinoas idea 🤙🏼
Dude no doubt!
Jay Z face at Chester's vocals at the end will forever be iconic.
One my favorites of Chester
It's one hell of a scream there at the end. Gives me chills still, after so many years.
Never gets old ❤
He was like "Well damn" lol
Mike's LYRICS are soooo underappreciated, it really sounds like poetry when he spits those bars. One of the main reasons I loved LP besides rhe music is the lyrics, it wasn't just bs they were singing, everything was so much ART.
He executed that perfectly but that jays lyrics just fyi
1000%
Chester was the main lyricist.
@@claytheist6736 That's not true. If anyone was the ''main'' anything of the band it was Mike who is definitely the brain of the band and the main composer. There are lots of songs that Chester didn't contribute to at all while Mike had a hand in all of them. Chester definitely didn't write Mike's rap parts.
I would say people underappreciate Mike. Anyone who watched the dvd about the collab with Jay also saw that Mike was the creative mastermind behind that one too.
Mike Shinoda one of the most underrated rappers of all times.
Problem is his lyrics are generic, its easy for people to relate to but they aren't anything special, his flow and rhythm are extremely overlooked tho
@@MrTheWanz I think the lyrics are better than 95%of rappers out there. I don't think the lyrics are generic. That is your top 40 music. LP songs were written with emotion, connection, a story so much depth and layers.also don't know about you but I listen to music that is relatable. If I can't relate to it I don't listen to it
@@camanderson9954 i wasnt refering to his stuff with LP
@@MrTheWanz I am. His solo stuff is alright. Some better than others. Fort Minor and Linkin Park his rap game is on point
@@camanderson9954 I feel you. But I feel Deadly too. I think your both right 👍
MTV went to Jay and said that they wanted him to do a mash-up with a rock band. He said he'd do it if Linkin Park would do it with him.
🔥🤘😁🤘🔥
Love that
Woah ! Never knew that . Amazing !!!!
Mike said in an interview, when he heard, that Jay-Z wanted to work with them, he started to mix some songs right away, because he was so excited. So when Jay arrived, almost all the work was done and they just had to do some fine adjustments and record it
Brooo when Jay Z hit that smile you know damn well what he was thinking "Shittt being a rock star dont seem so bad"
4:55 Man, you can tell that Jay-Z is really starting to feed off the crowd and the energy of the music when he starts raising his voice here. I love that he's getting into it.
I always felt that too. "Back in the system with the RIF RAF again"
He trying to get his rock on ther and he totally fit in
For this whole performance, the vibe was on point. Everyone did their own thing, and you can Jay Z *wanted* to work with them
Man Rip Chester
@@supmaidoods8753 exactly
They did a whole studio album together called collision course and it's amazing
One of my top 5.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 album.
Fun fact. Allegedly this wasnt rehearsed. Jay's reaction to Chester at the end is priceless. One of the greatest collabs.
Chad Mccarthy “ fun fact. Allegedly” 😂😂 wtf
It definetly was but apparently chester wasnt there for the whole thing, but there definetly was a rehearsal
you can tell he did not expect that...
This was the last song from the show. Chester screams at least once before this song.
If you watch the entire video it literally shows them in rehearsal. LOL
7:25 Jay's face at Chester, he like, "Damn, I see you" 😂
Yeah, always been one of my favorite moments from the video. "Game recognize game."
😂😂😂😂😂
the whole set is available to watch. chester screams at least once before this.
The energy in this croud must have been unreal... RIP Chester, i think about you everyday. I was about 13 years old when LP blew up. Love you.
😭
i was doing the same in Kigali Rwanda, playing it as loud as our sound system could after school before my parents and older siblings got home
I love how J looks over at Chester when he screams "Shut up!" like "how's he doin' that? Can *I* do that?"
Yeah Mike Shinoda is a rapper an everything else. J-Z's face when Chesters screams..priceless
The ending face is so good. It's a classic. Jay is like "God damn, alright"
Mike Shinoda, the guy from Linkin Park rapping, is known as Fort Minor and was signed under Jay-Z and made Whered You Go, and Remember the Name, you probably have heard those songs.
@Brother Psalm You do know he's still active with fort minor, right? Like, check out their new tracks here on youtube.
jay was executive producer of the fort minor project but mike was never signed to him.
What was so cool about the whole project was that it wasn’t the usual mashup that people will do where it’s throw lyrics on a different beat. They actually worked on the project like an album. Jay z even decided to re-record his lyrics to match the beats. You don’t see that often at all nowadays
Mike is so underrated, He's amazing
Bruh that last "Shut Up" was probably the sickest thing I've ever heard in my life. RIP to one of my heroes I love you Chester!
The album with Jay Z and Linkin Park is so great. Linkin Park got me through some real rough times as a teenager. So cathartic.
The whole album was such an integral part of my high school years
10000% same there with you. I’ve always been under the gun like outcast metal/ jazzy/ punk Emo/ alt rock… dude Been bullied most of my life
5:00 I love this moment cuz you can really see and hear just how much Jay-Z is feelin the rock vibe, he's so into it
Jayz is one of the last rappers alive who still tell a story, and it isn't just a bunch of random sentences thrown together.
Vinnie Paz
There's Jay-Z, Joyner, Nas, J Cole, and Eminem at least. We still have some saving graces
Fort Minor - Remember the name
Ultimate hype song.
The high road is a great other great 1 by fort minor
Goddamn Right!
This I wanna see.
Yes !!!!
Jay Z spitting bars over howling guitars is something you don't know you need in your life until you experience it. It's an amazing thing to see artists from different genres and different walks of life come together and make beautiful music babies together! It's a good thing they played a small venue, cause any of these songs would level a stadium 😅
I love this version so much because they recorded in the studio before this so Jay knew what Chester was about. But the last couple of seconds of Chester's verse, you could see Jay was genuinely impressed with Chester's range.
It's crazy to me that that album released way way back in 2004. Like where the hell did all them years go...
Dude lol... Love these reactions to LP songs.. Too many Rap fans sleep on them. Love this series man, looking forward to the next instalment..
Suggestion; Avenged Sevenfold - Nightmare or Sheppard of Fire.
what in the helll you're doing here? hahahaha
ADC a hip hop fan ⁉️ yooo
That look that Jay Z gives Chester at the end is priceless! Big ups to Jay Z for paying tribute at his concert to Chester after he passed.
You are correct, the first verse is Jay Z's, but he allowed Mike to rap it which says a lot about how much respect Jay has for Mike, Chester, and the band.
I love the shot of Jay Z surveying the crowd, smiling and nodding his head along. The satisfaction of seeing what this collaboration does to people.
I was fortunate enough to see LP early on in their career when they were touring the Hybrid Theory album. They were part of a festival line-up, and going in I thought they were just another flash in the pan, nu-metal band. How wrong I was. Their live sound and energy was so crisp they immediately won me over. Truly talented.
You HAVE TO hear jigga what/faint from them both thats straight firee🔥🔥
rip chester, sings like an angel, screams like a demon.
Jay-Z's reaction at 7:24 is amazing. He stopped in aw of the scream
6:54 the pure joy on Jay's face. Priceless
Didn't know Lil' Dicky started out on guitar.
General White THATS LITERALLY WHAT I SAID LMAOO
LMAOOOOO i always think about that 💀
lol dude. that shit's funny as hell. good one. you made me laugh so hard. Thanks!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Bruhhh I was legit about to say this exact thing. I had to do a double take when I saw that guitarist 😂
Even Jay-Z himself looked at Chester with a face that said, "Holy shit, this man can sing!!"
Mike Shinoda is too underrated, he can do anything basically ngl
When I was a kid and this concert happened I thought the world would never end up in the place it is today. I thought that my youth would make this better. One of the greatest concerts to ever grace a stage.
Was lucky enough to see Hov and LP perform this live twice.
5 other songs like this one
Album is called Collision Course
He has already reacted at Numb/Encore
That’s the album that got me into rap. I was a big linkin park fan around the early 2000s and collision course inspired to listen to jay z black album.
Whole album is ridiculous fire☄☄☄☄
And to think if they had listened to MTV and only done 2, we wouldn't have this masterpiece album
this was the only concert. it was a one off concert that mtv put together for their mashup series. this was the first act for this series. it was a surprise for the crowd too.
Jay Zs expression after Chesters "break" says everything there is to say about Chester, Linkin Park and this song^^
Jay Z’s reaction to Chester at 07:24! 🤘🏼
The look on J's face at the end when Chester screams is fn priceless!
Jay Z's face is priceless @ ! He's like WTF son? Then immediately like OK that's fiya boy! LOL
This colab between them never gets old! Great reaction and much respect on studying your idols!
When you hear that bass riff at the end of one step closer, it just builds anticipation like you know something heavy is about to come >:)
One of the greatest shows ever, can't wait to see this reaction!
This needs to go on the long list of reactions...."Its going down" by linkin park, static x and the x-ecutioners
I fucking love that song.
DUDE STATIC X
@@bonedigerz I just want him to do Get to the Gone. We all know LayedBak's good for trying to turn the volume down after the song starts, it'll be far too late.
@@SilverVayne He'd love Sweat of the Bud
Gahhh, blast from the past! Havent heard that song in a WHILE
I went to Jay z/Linkin Park Milton Keynes UK. The best experience ever, went down in history and the sad thing it will never happen again. Rip Chester 🤘
That whole album is fucking amazing.
React to Linkin Park - From the inside or Lying from you please.
Lying from you is so underrated
My fav Lying From u
Jay-Z face at the end of Chesters scream makes me smile everytime :D
I can't even begin to explain to you the energy that LP brings to the table live. Mike has a great appreciation for rap and that combined with the metal. Its perfection.
Best concert ive ever been to was 2015, Linkin Park
The combination of rock and hiphop is so incredibly energetic like this song right here! Wish there was still more of this around today 🔥
He should do the whole hybrid theory album this week who agrees ?
TJ Moore I’m not doing anything else haha.
Gryphon0468 what?
TJ Moore isolation boredom. I could sit and watch a whole album review. Haha.
Bro, when chester gets that last scream In, my God. Jay z had the greatest reaction and I swear you can hear thunder from chesters voice
This actually brought tears to my eyes listening to Chester screaming, I miss that dude
That was the best mini concert ever performed! I have the CD when it came out and still watch it. You should watch the whole concert!
Bro, you've gotta look up the story of how that Jay Z/Linkin Park project came to be.
Jay z's reaction at chester at the end was priceless lol. He was like "DAMN BOY JUST DID THAT WHAT" Love that. Miss you chester
Took the reactors 20 years after its release to find this, but I’m glad y’all (you, Stevie, Shaq, etc) found it
You have to check out Wretches and Kings by linkin park
Bone Digerz I second this
clemente villescas that album is trash and I’m a die hard lp fan.
Wrong album it was a thousand suns
@@chickychang1 hunting party was a great album. You had all their influences on one album from page from helmet to Rakim damn. If anything you just don't listen. Have ears to listen to new stuff. I even liked one more light TBH. So if your a die hard fan then you need broaden your musical landscape. I know I have and I loved it when they went pop Heavy is my shit
clemente villescas I love and listen to any type of genre from rap , country , rock etc etc and I just didn’t like that album. A thousand suns was ok and that was different than what lp did before that.
I just love Jay-Z's face when chester screams at the end xD
He's like "Shit son, ok... That noise came outta you?" 😂
Mad props for the sound enginier, because the audio is top quality for a live gig.
I would give anything to be able to experience this show live. Unbelievable talent on display on all fronts
I saw Linkin Park in KC 2011... first concert I ever went to and it was so sickkk... they're one of those bands that sound better live than in studio
This album was perfect, start to finish. The mash up was so genius
one of my favorite reaction you made , finding myself coming back to watch this again and again !
This combination of artists and the way each modified their song to fit the other is one of the all time greatest combos I've ever seen and heard. It just friggin works 💪
The way Jay-Z looks at Chester at the end😂
Best collaboration ever. I love seeing people experience this shit for the first time...I REMEMBER THE FEELING. LayedBakDFR has one of the best reactions ever lol.
I've seen Linkin Park in concert five times...off the chain every single time. The energy is unreal. ~ One More Light #MAKECHESTERPROUD ~
dude, this is one of my favorite songs... now i am remembering Chester B. dang, i miss him.
Just found your channel tonight. Great content. The first time I heard this album, I literally got chills. One of the most amazing sets in history.
Damn, I wish I went to this concert. Shit was 🔥🔥
Jayz Z reaction for Chester in the end of the song is the best
The energy in this is absolutely insane
i got chills when he chester started saying shut up and singing. I am glad i grew up to this era of music brings back alot of memories.
Dude, thank you for this reaction. Your reaction to the guitar is exactly what I feel.
The best mash up mix ever, well this and numb/encore.
Jay Z and Linkin Park = fucking awesome!
Please do more LP reactions.
Subscribed 👍
Rip Chester, absolute legend!
#makechesterproud
Помню в 2004 году их назвали лучшим дуэтом года🤘
I can’t believe how much joy it brings me watching my man LayedBAK enjoy this collab for the first time.
I saw them live when they played together at the National Bowl in Milton Keynes, UK. It's a huge outdoor venue that has hosted some of the best bands ever. Best concert I've ever been to
We see alot of collaborations these days between musicians of all stripes/genres/abilities but nothing will ever have the feeling of authenticity and respect than when these guys hooked up to make the Collision Course E.P. They were both equally at the top of their respective games and opened up so many peoples minds to the idea that different genres could co-exist in the same space.
Still gives me goosebumps when listening
I still have the CD/DVD combo discs from years back. Still watch it to this day. 2 of my favorite genres and my favorite artists of those genres mashed up something beautiful.
Literally one of the best colabs ever, must've been so hype to be there
This is by far in my opinion the best collaboration album ever
That smile at the end when Jay was like, damn this shits nice.
You've got one of the best reaction channels I've seen. This was the first time I watched this Linkin / JayZ video too and I think my reaction mirrored yours. That was wild. Thanks.
The 6 songs on this album had me LOCKED!!!!!!! 2 of my favs 🤯🤯🤯🤯 I saw LP in concert before and they are 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Simplesmente os melhores estilos musicais, Linkin park e Jay-Z ❤️🤘
A great reaction man! Jay Z must be the most humble and professional artist EVER! For real, he is such a pro ! I was at his concert in oslo and i was blown the f away. He is sooo grounded, and he really care about his fans!
The energy in that place has to be craaaazzzzzy! I miss my days on stage!
Front row in 07 in Cinci Linkin Park,Korn ,Ghost face,Raekwon the chef and GZA! It was incredible!
I really appreciate how you do all your videos man. Never stretching them to insane lengths, I can just chill and watch videos with you. Jay-Z & LP - legends on that stage.
