Imagining how devastated Theseus would be watching Zagreus walk into the arena literally blindfolded and then not taking a single direct hit gives me life.
What is insane is while, YES, dan did get some lucky pulls... Each time he was going for a boon he was (mostly) making an educated guess for where the best boons for that offering could be. the amount of skill and game knowledge to actually be able to USE the lucky pulls is bonkers! You sir are a maniac. well fucking done.
this comment is so cool because it thinks its a timestamp for 20:20 in the video which is the first fight with inferno bombs. you made a double entendra joke that acts as a quick way to get context for the joke
I didnt realize there were so many sound effects in the game. You could tell the difference of so many things from sound alone... Like the raft, the trove, the items in the shop and etc.. SGG did an exceptional job...
This, ladies and gentlemen is how we the blind played hades before the accessible mods were created. However, screen readers and OCR, (Optical character recognition) were used to choose boons and buy items from wells. This is very, very impressive. Congrats for beating hades blindfolded!
45:55 It's funny. I normally would agree with Haelian that the Arty dash is stupid. However, with how much he dash strikes during this run, it may actually have made a big difference to his dps. He genuinely makes better use of it while blindfolded than I normally would playing normally.
@@l.n.3372 I think it's because other dashes, in comparison, are not so weapon- and playstyle-dependent and can impress with large damage (e.g. Poseidon) or status effects (e.g. Aphrodite, Demeter) independently. Also Artemis dash (and many Artemis boons in general) scales badly if you level it up. However, maybe the crits are able to make up for the smaller increases in percentages in comparison to other gods.
@@l.n.3372 it doesn't actually give you the ability to crit, all it does is increase dash strike damage. So on literally any build where you don't dash strike constantly, it's useless. But yeah this build was the opposite of that, so I dunno
You know, if someone had told me "I used Aspect of Hestia and it took me over an hour to win" I'd have assumed it would be a pretty unimpressive run. But this? Masterful.
@@Voremaster420I could see some blindfolded strats just from watching Haelian. If you have the patience it might be worth revisiting. I mean it can't be harder than Mario 64 blind runs can it?
I asked around and did a bunch of googling/searching, couldn't find anyone else who has done it without some kind of assistance (I've done it in the past assisted).
It was great to be there live for 90% of this. Shame I had to leave right before Dad, but I'm so stoked that you completed it! And not even using any DDs on Dad?! You're nuts, my guy. Great stuff! :D
The title made my click the video, skipped to 31:30 ish to see how this could genuinely be possible & watched u MAJESTICALLY shuffle to the boat. This should be in history books
This was so fun to watch live! I haven't been that excited watching a Hades run in ages. I love that the community is still finding ways to make this game new and exciting, even after all this time.
This was super entertaining and fun to watch, your game knowledge is incredible and also the sound design of the game that makes a run possible wow. Kept thinking that this is a game that could recommend for people with sight disabilities. Great stuff!
2 years of learning from your youtube vids to the first time catching your stream, is this run, couldn't get any better! I was rushing to hit the sub button on twitch, least I could do for all that you taught me about the game! cheers man!
Mad lad! Big congrats ❤ Can't believe you are still finding new ways to make this game so fun to watch after so many years! Made me appreciate the sound effects more too!
I think it's cool that he's able to do this as a challenge play through. Meanwhile I just played the game completely blind and whenever I do end up stumbling across a bone/palm/hammer I can break out a screen reader on my phone and bam pick which one I want. Also this does prove the theory that blind people will listen to people who aren't blind play games blind both figuratively and literally
Holy moly, the meme runs are getting complicated xD This is like adrenaline junkies doing more and more dangerous things to get the same rush but with like... Hades runs LMAO
Holy Molly, I don't know if there is words who can describe how glorious this run was ! But again, my vocabulary isn't exceptional. The amount of knowledge he has is unfathomable ! The Chaos curse ending, the Holy Shield guessing, Zag standing right before a pillar in Lernie room.... insane.
First!! Just wanna say I love watching your runs, I got introduced to hades from one of your videos a year ago and this game has quickly become my favorite thanks to how fast i’ve learned from watching you! Chasing 32 heat right now but got a 16 heat clear. Happy gaming mate!!
Also this blindfold run was insane, I was around for the stream but I always check back for when you upload the videos!! Kuddos to you, this was remarkable!!
Congrats! (But I'm also surprised that you hadn't already done this. Could have sworn I had seen you at least attempt this before. But might be that I just assume you've already done everything b/c you mostly have.) Edit: finished watching and holy shit that was an amazing run. (Also, looked up the other blind fold stuff and that was with a helper, but it did exist!)
This man has some sort of sixth sense.. He does 10 small steps to the left directly in the direction of the next room door, but one step before he'd hear he's on the wooden thing, he goes up, down or dashes away... Multiple times in this one run...
insane! i am so so so impressed. this was amazing. i was so sad to have missed it on stream, happy you uploaded this. i would love to watch it again with a commentary from you, watching this for the first time 😊 edit:// watched the stream recording incl reaction. extra fun 🎉
I saw this live and watching you struggle with the doors, and magma was a little frustrating 😅 epic run and extremely lucky at the end there.🎉 congrats 🎉
I know this is insanely impressive and shows just how vast his game knowledge is. But that won’t stop me from making fun of him for not finding the door.
an alternate title: "can I win playing worse then a new player" moves "nearly" randomly, takes effectively random things, and can't tell what is going on half the time (2 minutes dashing into a corner going "where is the enemies")
So far it's been about 6 minutes and I think I can safely say that this man does a run better blindfolded than I do. Though to be fair, I have maybe 100 hours where he probably has a few thousand...
"For the next 4 Chamber(s), chamber reward previews are hidden."
Joke's on you, Chaos.
The ONE CHAOS CURSE that has absolutely no effect on this run!
Zagreus: I decided to gouge my eyes out to make this more interesting, but thanks.
@@LloydTheZephyrian CONSIDERING he would just respawn with both of them after the run/death lmao

Yeah, that proves the sound design is - like everything else in this game - more than well-polished
Crying at him going into the choice room guns ablazing 😭
Then his confusion as he realizes that he isn't killing anything lol
I can't believe half of the lernie section is trying to find the chamber exit

this gave me me nostalgia, I revisited this video and saw this. totally agree.
Whoa That's really cool. I'd love to have a deep dive into this. I didn't really know there was an accessibility mod.

And that's not even accounting for the fact that he unknowingly picked up a chaos boon to boost his dash strike damage even further. Actually optimal
Works very well with the aspect as well

Genuinely chuckled when you went and caught the fish in Elysium. Blessed by the Charp, clearly.
