I saw them at the Byrne Meadowlands arena in Jersey at around this time. John Cougar Melloncamp was the opening act for them. All these years later, I remember Melloncamp more than I remember them. I Dont remember why, but for some reason, their performance that night was not very memorable. Don't get me wrong, I was a bona fide fan of Heart, and had bought most of their albums. I thought most of their songs were fantastic, and it didn't hurt at all that there were two gorgeous hotties in the band and I was a young man with over-active hormones. Having said that, there was something wrong that night with their performance, maybe they were simply tired, jaded and sick of being on the road, but their performance seemed a little flat, kinda like they were "mailing it in". On the other hand, John Cougar Mellencamp , who was relatively new to the scene back then, really put his heart and soul into his performance, and also established a very good rapport with the audience. I was never a fan of his, and never even bought any of his albums, but I gotta admit that he did a better job than Heart on that warm night in Jersey!

I bet you David Letterman felt pretty stupid later on in the years whenever they did the led Zeppelin tribute because I'm not trying to be that person but even the start of this interview was kind of disrespectful those girls they're real rockers respect that Mr TV show man that was awesome too in his own right so that's all I got to say about this lol
