Launching on July 23 for PC, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, Carrion is a unique horror game that puts you the role of the monster who has to wipe out everything in its path.

everybody gangsta till the spaghet starts moving around
No need to say around
everybody gangsta till the meatballs rollin
This is one spaghet you don't wanna touch-a.
😳
@@Gencoil yes yes yes
Take my money !!
We need more games like this where you are the monster
@don't hate me just block
cuz it's cool
don't hate me just block cuz we’ve seen it all heroes side
Nebuler yeah that’s why I loved maneater, can’t wait to play this to
Check out butcher along the lines of this but you're a cyborg sent to destroy the last remnants of humanity just in an 8 bit style super fun ultra gory easy to play hard to master
@@dedmanzombie just bought it for my switch on a sale.
Carrion:
Your not just playing a horror game...
You *are* the horror game!
you play as CARNAGE from spiderman
Venom 2 let there be carnage
That was my word to my friend.
Everytime he played a horror game..
He is the horror one
That doesn't make any sense. You are still playing a horror game.
R/wooosh
The creature design and movement really, really creeps me out. I can't wait to play this!
Rarely do you see games, where you play as an eldritch blood abomination. Me likey.
Play locoroco if you want something similar
@@loafofbread9400 I used to play that game as a kid
Closest I can think of was The Darkness on xbox 360. Loved that game.
Prototype 1 is great for this.
Prototype, dead by daylight, maneater, butcher, etc
the sound design team outdid themselves
huh, so this is what became of Mr. Krabs' appetizer from the "fine dining" episode
This is also apart of Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy's origins
Its all finally coming together
Fine dining... and breathing!
@@RenzXVI The name of the episode. Nice.
That moment when the carnage symbiote escaped
Finally, someone else noticed
Thinking the same
5:07 I love the senseless act of trashing down that metal beam for absolutely no purpose at all. it even backtracked a bit just to do it. what an edgy thing.
Explosion sounds monster coming out
What kind of hell hole was this thing native too that caused it to evolve like this
Uranus *laughs in Bad joke*
Think this is hinting August
A whole other universe
This is what china is hiding about covid 19
Hollywood.
The thought of playing as the monster and having it not be known makes it so cool to play as. Plus the abilities that it can do are so varied.
I see we finally got our "The Thing" remake :)
An actual The Thing game where you play AS The Thing would be genuinely incredible, having to blend in with the humans and decide when to feed, and with each being you assimilate you slowly turn things into a pseudo-RTS sort of like XCOM.
@@Cri_Jackal That sounds fucking incredible! I would totally buy a reverse horror game based on The Thing
@@Cri_Jackal Dude. That sounds so hype. I'd buy that so fast. I think there have been multiplayer games like that but not that degree of badass
This is more like The Blob than it is The Thing.
@@eagleeyeliz3417 There's a book called 'The Things' and it's from the perspective of the creature. Really interesting stuff.
After watching the full game and came back to this, the monster in the beginning is considerably small and adorable than the final absolutely chaotic clump of horror
"Another abomination, birthed by the twisted flesh and organs of the crimson, with its only goal being to absorb more biomass."
It's like humankind in a nutshell!
Terraria?
@@eDebt Calamity mod
Alex Mercer
Sounds like a cosmic horror.
Just played the Sneak Peak release; plays more like an angry Thing that doesn’t care about anything. I absolutely love it and hope that it gets the recognition it deserves
It's better if the humans have dialogues for better immersion. Hearing them arguing, blaming each other, planning an escape, planning on how to eradicate the creature and making journals and distress calls would be awesome.
Carrion my wayward son.
There’ll be blood when you are done.
Lay your 20 heads to rest.
Don’t you kill no more.
Lmao wish I thought of this ,
Nice one
Lmao love it
I love the 3rd line.
Damn bruh you had me at "pull them towards you to consume them"
Your pfp looks like something from this game (it's a Trevor Henderson image right?)
@@TheStripeTailedFiend correct, it is.
This was by far the best title from the Devolver Direct
This is gonna be really really fun!
When you're hauling Rathtars
Definitely! Those things are grotesquely powerful!
A lot of the in game screens label the facility as "BSL", nice Metroid reference!
Oh neato! This game. Haven't heard about it in what feels like ages. Really cool stuff
Neato....
Love how you made it very scary. Using the hotel right before a kill. Artfully done just like a horror movie.
I’ve been waiting for this since Christmas. I am excited
This is giving off some serious "John Carpenter's The Thing" vibes
Reminds me of the prototype infection 🤔
I remember looking at this guys gameplay on reddit and it still looks like a fun af game
Damn this game sure is taking it's time to come out
Comes out the 23rd
it comes out this month stop complaining
@@thatrandomdude5899 Chill out Sans
Magnifique pixel art work and animation.
Imagine how horrifying this game would be if you made it with the Unreal engine.
First person HD Carrion.
Then it'd be every other horror game. What makes this unique is that you are the monster. How many other games period do that?
@@kingklipo Friday the 13th game
@@kingklipo who said you wouldn't still be the monster? It would be even better because the gore and atmosphere would be twice as good and it would be in full 3D.
@@that_deadeyegamer7920 I disagree. I think this game has a great visual style and just making it realistic kinda destroys that. Also the super fluid, fast control and snappy movements would be gone because now instead of having to move spaghetti through a 2D space where that can happen putting it in 3D means that everything has to be more complicated and tedious
Shadow warrior 3 and Carrion are the most anticipated games for me
Had this on my Steam wishlist for awhile. Looks fun!
Dude!!! You get to play as The Thing? Cool!
So freaking excited for this!
Looks promising, animation, ambient and soundtrack are top notch.
reminds me of "The Thing" 1982
FrenchFrysz669 try 1982
@@lilstinker1949 ahh thanks man. I forgot which year it came out
We need more games like this!
I played this game the moment it fully released on Console and I LOVED IT, bursting through doors and destroying everything within seconds (including people), sneaking through vents and snatching victims up it is amazing, especially when you get bigger you're nearly UNSTOPPABLE, just constant carnage and Death, its so satisfying slamming someone into the ground repeatedly or flailing them around hearing their screams before they die and you consume them
Damn, the gamer became the blob towards the end! He literally waited for the humans to scuttle or get lured and then consumed them.
Imagine if they made it a first-person horror game but now you're the victim
As a final boss, it will be battling witts with Glados. I'm sold with this game.
I belive authors were heavily inspired by The Thing
Lmao
That and Dead Space
Maybe the blob but not The Thing
@@jack_meoff69 Why not? The thing is very tentacle-like.
Even more so the adult comic sex/scifi "Druuna" by Paolo Eleuteri Serpieri
.
Cannot wait to play this!
The sound engineering of this game tho. 😲
I need this game
This is how you bring a Shoggoth into games. Papa HP would be definitely pleased. Sincerely hope this game achieve the proper recognition. Its a friggin landmark on the horror genre.
damn. how do i miss good horror film in underground complex with confined space. The game seems great so far.
can't believe I sit through the whole thing!
CARRION: Multiple tentacles but you need lots of good aim
Me with drift: *Uh oh*
you still haven't just gotten new controls
I got a Metroid Fusion vibe right away. Its finally here!!
i want this game so badly
The Carrtion reminds me a lot of the alien in John Carpender's The Thing
A xenomorph game with this style would be pretty cool
Alien Infestation on Nintendo DS.
Not 2D but there's always the Alien campaigns in AvP Classic and AvP2.
0:01 I'm sold
Fascinating
oh yes. I think my friend would like to play this
I'm really hoping this game won't be one of those 4 - 5 hour games. I've been hyped for it since announcement
It's a 3 hour one... so tragic. What took them so long to develop it?
It's one of those four to five hour games, but every minute is so much fun
@@Jasey357 Portal 2 is about the same length, and that took even longer to develop
@@Jasey357 and that game was three times the price at launch
Nice concept and design. I’d buy it !
Honestly, I hope there is a no kill/friendly achievement or option because playing as a slime monster who's actually nice and just wants to go to Kokomo sounds pretty neat.
This reaaally makes me want a 3d AAA version of this!
Cletus Cassidy called he wants his symbiote back
I can definitely see some SCP stuff being written about this monster
I mean it certainly plays that way
the movement in this game looks fucking awesome, ima get this
Just got this on game pass and am excited to play it in about 7 hours
Speed runner gonna love this
This is without a doubt, *The perfect game.*
this is utterly terrifying to watch.
“When I get out of here, and I will. There’s gonna be Carnage...”
This looks really cool
Everybody gangsta till the coronavirus mutates a physical form:
@One Thou Wou you fell for it
THUNDER CROSS SPLIT ATTACK
Now this looks good
This actually scares me
How do you switch skills on a controller?
It coming out today I already preordered it I can’t wait!
*_I’ve seen enough hentai to know where this is going_*
I'm afraid this will be a guro doujin though... wait, that's even better
IMAGINE a speed run of this game ?
Surprised it took this long for a game where you play as an Eldritch mass of flesh to come out
This is what I want the beginning of Carnage to be like
Cari on my wayward sooon
oh man i wanna play this game like now now now!
I love the concept, I love the design of the creature but there doesn't just seem that much to do.
This looks awesome.
i love this kind of games. villian protagonist
Ooh I need this on switch.
It its, the 23 of this month
It is on switch
Physical coming from special reserve games
The way the monster moves looks so satisfying. Shame it's not coming to PS4 because it looks pretty fun.
It is
On the switch aswell? Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay
i mean it's a 2d game, would make sense for handheld, no?
@@melxb you are correct, please forgive me
This game is sick, monster reminds me of the movie Life!
This game looks awesome!
The crunching sound of eating a human is so satisfying
reminded me of lakeview cabin monster in space
Damn can't want to play the game by myself, it was a big surprise that we now can play for humans and like during another timeline as it seems, also music is super fitting and just great on it's own.
Looks more like a flashback than anything.
This is more horrifying than 3D games... outstanding.
this thing: *escapes*
humans working there: "excuse me what the fuck"
Best game of 2020.
this is like playing as venom in the NDS ultimate spiderman game
2 days more!
This looks pretty legit
Thought this game would never come out
This game is making me hungry
