Carrion is a "reverse horror" video game developed by Phobia Game Studio and published by Devolver Digital. The player takes on the role of a tentacled monster that wreaks havoc on a facility, killing every human in its path. It was released in July 2020 for Windows PC, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

Speedrunners don't just play a lot, they share information with each other. They are, in a way, like the Carrion itself, adding more knowledge to the biomass constantly.
sorta true
this speed running alien is scarier than the one that is slow and just murders you...
to the humans, its actions appear wanton and unpredictable. it killed their buddy only because he was standing in its way and left them alone... inconsequential to what it's goals are.
A true eldritch horror.
Imagine: You're just standing there, reading reports next to your work buddy, when you see a blur of red and pointy white in your peripherals. Before you can even flinch the monitors are shattered, the doors on the opposite end of the room is little more than bent scrap metal and your buddy has been replaced with a fine mist of blood, slowly wafting down to the floor...
It's not an alien it's a mutation of a real life organism called a Tubifex Worm which looks like identical to the creature minus the eyes and teeth.
@@conspiracypanda1200 holy become a writer
This is the comment that got me to bite the bullet and buy the game
The only thing scarier than a giant tentacle meat nightmare monster is a giant tentacle meat nightmare monster piloted by a speedrunner.
Omg this alien gonna kill me
Carrion : nope gotta go fast
Love it when the dev's actually are proud of what they made
"I've had enough of this game"
ok
@@brandon-tb6eu Thats in context of playing it as a developer. Imagine you are playing something every day for hours and hours, not because you enjoy it, but because you need it to not be broken. Context is everything.
Why not give the devs like a minute to introduce themselves before start watching it?
So much happened in that one minute and they didn't even had time to comment...
About 4 minutes in and the interviewer hasn't even noticed the splits on the right side. Shows you the amount of effort that was put into this.
You have to spend a lot of time on a game to spend this little time on a game.
Pretty much. Got myself a lot of runs in switch versión, but im still at a pretty bad time, 30-45 minutes without skips
Always interesting to hear the differing opinions on speed runners. This guy (jokingly, kinda) said it's disrespectful because you skip content that took time to make. Others say speedrunning is super respectful because of the dedication it takes.
Love this Dev Reacts Speedrun series!
Just played this week. Great stuff. Especially for a fan of The Thing

sorta crazy the bioscanner thought it was a human

worst interview ever
One trick pony.
That had a lame leg and got shot.
Who?
The game has way too many loading screens.
You probably haven't even played the game or did any research on the speedrun beforehand.
If you can't figure out anything else to say than "wow" and "he's going fast", maybe don't say anything.
These are the developers.
The people who made the game
Hearing the devs themselves say they've had enough of their game before it even came out makes me want to never want to buy their game.
Its a very different type of interaction with the game to be responsible for how it looks and functions. They didn't exactly get to play for fun much of the time.
They basically had to play a lot of the game before it was the fun, polished, finished product it is. You really do not understand what creating something entails.
It's basically a puzzle game, and puzzle games tend to have weak replayability -- once you know the solutions to all the puzzles, it gets very tedious very quickly. Now imagine you're the developer of the game, and you have to playtest each area dozens of times to make sure everything is working properly.
You'd have had enough of it before it even came out too.
You have to spend a lot of time on a game to spend this little time on a game.
