What's funny is you can find DNA that makes you resistant to fire. It's cool that the game gives you ways to assimilate a counter against everything the humans throw at you.
Was expecting a dog form to escape hahaha it would be really amazing. Good game, great work. And then the thing live happily forever and become some kind of Alex Mercer.

After a few kill he retired and made a game based off of it and made a trailer about it and learned to speak english they we now have the game and the trailer bloopers proves my point even more
A lot of people see To think that the Carrion beast has malicious intents. It doesn’t. If you play the flashback sequences you can see that all the creature originally tried to do was leave only to be gun down broken into fragments and experimented on over and over again. And it’s only when given no other options did the creature fight back and start murdering and eating everything in its path. It’s my opinion that much like the Hulk, The Carrion just wants to be left alone.
Had a lot of fun with this game!! It was so different from anything Ive played before yet it was almost like a metroidvania...Some of the music reminds me of music from the movie predator lol. I really cant wait to see what they can do with a sequel. Was really fun thinking thru the puzzles and different obstacles..
so the ending is that the beast is free and will spread terror in the city and become immortal, it will lay legs and more clones of him will be created.
i think they should make a part two, and the concept is like the first one where you switch between the human and monster, but this time you get to actually shoot the monster, or have it set in the city where the monster finally took over, and you're a survivor trying to find the hive mind to take it down, all while shooting zombiefied humans created by the monster. and maybe we even get like, a backstory on where this creature came from, and why it's on earth.
I still believe the best interpretation is that the monster just starts a normal life after escaping. It technically checks out going by what lore there is, and it's kinda funny to imagine this biological horror show massacring hundreds and assimilating corpses in an attempt to escape just to end up vibing as a human lol. I do like that they left the ending open to interpretation. It's more interesting if there isn't really a concrete answer as to what the monster will most likely do now that it's free.
For those wondering: "why didn't carrion just absorb one of the thousands of humans it has been eating throughout the game to take human form?", well simply put when carrion absorbs something or someone, it also inherits their memories, thoughts, and desires. It needed a clean untouched sample of human DNA, since if it simply used one of the scientists or androids to assume a human form it would have killed itself, since every human it encountered wants it dead. With an untouched and sterile strand of DNA, it could assume it's human form with no drawbacks or memories to inherit
It then became best friends with the creators of Terraria where it makes a appearance as one of the most important bosses in the game the wall of flesh
From there he filled out an application form, got a regular apartment, got a job and decided to name itself Susan...then you go and *piss* it off one day giving it horrible service and you get what's coming to you... What's funny is you can find DNA that makes you resistant to fire. It's cool that the game gives you ways to assimilate a counter against everything the humans throw at you.
Me; oh boi town are going to commit bye bye

The developers had an opportunity to have a mass of flesh slowly creep over the city as the credits rolled, and they MISSED IT.
Maybe they are saving that moment for the next one
maybe the beast will just live as a human being now

personally, I was expecting you to get to a final containment unit that appeared to have something harmless in it, and it oneshot you.
Imagine how cool itd be if carrion is the prequel to the prototype series.
Actually it’s a loose sequel to a game called butcher that not many people know about but I couldn’t really find a connection between the 2 games
tip for final bosses: Control the fire guy at the bottom, put him upstairs, open the brown thing, put the guy in the suit, then go ham on them
A lot of people see
To think that the Carrion beast has malicious intents.
Appreciate the gameplay vid, this game was an amazing experience, i havent seen a thing like creature represtented in games like this at all
Had a lot of fun with this game!! It was so different from anything Ive played before yet it was almost like a metroidvania...Some of the music reminds me of music from the movie predator lol. I really cant wait to see what they can do with a sequel. Was really fun thinking thru the puzzles and different obstacles..
This is literally my fricking dreams, this is one of the frickers that I see daily. Damn
so the ending is that the beast is free and will spread terror in the city and become immortal, it will lay legs and more clones of him will be created.
thank you so much! by the help of you i finished the game! you are an amazing man :D
this game is basically "They made you suffer, now it's time to make them suffer."
i think they should make a part two, and the concept is like the first one where you switch between the human and monster, but this time you get to actually shoot the monster, or have it set in the city where the monster finally took over, and you're a survivor trying to find the hive mind to take it down, all while shooting zombiefied humans created by the monster. and maybe we even get like, a backstory on where this creature came from, and why it's on earth.
The flashback scenes explain the origins, science and tubifex worms
Let's be honest, it probably went on to live a comfortable and quiet life.
Susan writes the best dam complaint letter ever written in the history of complaint letters...you don't even let the boss fire you...you just leave...it was spot on
*SUSAN:* (Carrion 2)
In the end....there is a *Thing* among us.
Ahhh, so this is the prequel to Prototype. It all makes sense now!
Title saying final boss when we are literally the final boss itself

for the "final boss" just deposit biomass before u enter the room till smallest state then go into the little vent on the bottom and shoot the lever then use the guy in the first room to enter the mech and kill everyone . It was so easy like this that i was very confused on what to do once i was done and did not know the game was ending. So i just wandered around for a bit, till i found the right way to go.
I guess the reason why the city was not destroyed in credits is coz Carrion will infect and take over human race silently and from shadows. One by one.
Actually the reason of why it doesn’t destroy the city at the end is because carrion doesn’t want to kill everything in its path, only whoever hurts him he actually just wants to live a normal human life. This was said by a developer so it is the final word

@@HerrscherPuppet Soon or not, people will realize, it cannot hide forever
If Carrion 2 does take place in the city I hope they build more on the idea that the creature became human. That it has a whole life and identity as a human with a job somewhere and maybe even has some sort of romantic relationship. But then when night comes around the real monster shows, maybe stalking prey in alleyways or quiet buildings. Hell maybe if they did have a partner then maybe eating them could be the way they get food. And then when the sun rises the monster goes back into hiding, and the human goes to work.
