@@OurSmallholdingAdventure I don't remember the storm but saw flower petals all over and wet everywhere. Today we've had 3 hale storms and sunny in-between 🤷
❤loving your updates, really doing well. Yeh, plenty of geo engineering in Oxfordshire! The day starts beautiful and sunny, out come the chem trails and in less than an hour, the weather is hideous! 🫣😅
The potato planting place is a real issue!!! 😂 I’ve still 2 varieties to plant and no clue where to put them! My peppers are still tiny. I’m gonna give them a few more weeks and then give up and buy some from the garden centre.
Do your peppers have enough heat and light? I've found that has made a huge difference this time for me. Fingers crossed for them. Also, re spuds - I have a plan!!
Hi Tracy, wow everything is coming on nicely, last year in June I was going through my seeds and I saw I still had parsnips left in a seed packet, I thought well I can’t save them for next year as they say not to so I put them in the ground and thought what’s the worst that can happen, I kid you not they were the best and only parsnips I’ve ever grown, so if you have any seeds left at the end of the season, pop them in, I’ve saved some from my sowing this year to pop in the ground later, I do wish my Chili’s and tomatoes were as large as yours, mine just seem to have stopped growing???? No idea why???? Might repot and see if that gives them a kick, love love love your videos, they are my highlight of the week, keep smiling, be Happy x
Isn't that typical on the seeds - that's great. I was saying to Sara (life on our hill) the same re her peppers - have they had enough light and heat? I'm sure they will come on - fingers crossed when you repot. Ahh thank you my lovely, that's really kind of you! Take care xx
Could you not pull the flowers off the tomatoes and put the main mother plant in a pot of water? They will root in water. I have really wimpy pepper plants but I hope if I pot them up with some good soil (not seed compost) that they will pick up. Love a plans out the window video. 😂😂 so I won’t send you loads of tomato varieties then. We live near a small airport and there is always a plane ✈️ or helicopter 🚁 going by. Will the stones not cause issues for root veg? We had a minus 1c night a few days ago and looks like max 5c nights for a bit. 👍👍 proper spacing and yes I would do 3 and peas sound great (every space right). I will stop rambling and just wish you all an amazing weekend of dry weather, Ali 🌦️🇨🇦
How's the peppers Ali? haha well....I might have bought more toms...oops. Seeds, not plants! Possibly an issue with the stones but we shall see. We are down to 0 again on Wed or Thurs evening so I'll need to protect the plants again. I love your rambles! Thanks lovely, take care.
@@OurSmallholdingAdventure I potted them up and they seem to be doing a bit better, I have to keep reminding myself it’s still only mid April. It has been super cold nights again here and not meant to get above 5c at night for weeks yet
I’m watching this a few days after but wondered if you could have dug a small trench and filled with compost and then sown your parsnips to avoid the small stones? If you’re going to be sowing some more then could be worth comparing results may be. My seeds are really slow. Have had to resolve as it’s just too wet. Getting really fed up now. We’ve had hail again today! There seems to be no end in sight and sadly I’m buying into these conspiracy theories as I can’t remember the last time it was so bad for so long. Keep up the fab vlogs.
Oh don't worry about watching a few days after (I know you meant that I might have already done the action by the time you commented, but I am replying even later than that lol, been such a busy one!) Regardless, I totally agree with you, I think I will try that for a few other things too. Our farmer neighbours can't get their arable crops in :( I hope your weather has improved a little, we are slowly getting there. That's very kind, thank you.
Those sweet peas will look nice along that fence. 🥂
Thank you Leanne, sometimes the spontaneous ones are the best aren't they? ;)
I've definitely got my tinfoil hat on now Tracey , 🌧️ 🌧️ 🤔 .

haha made me smile yet with a serious tone when that plane went over - I'll look at the suggestion from Lynn too.
Yes they've been spraying us like mad EVERYWHERE! I'm sick of this rain and the rest of the crap they are throwing on us. Xx
It's been dry but crazy windy today - though the storm last night was horrendous

Impressive garden and green house. Keep up the hard work we will have to be patient and good weather for gardening will be here.
Thanks for sharing
Thank you very much - we had sun today but also gale force winds. It'll get there, just got to be patient as you say

Love the Idea for sweet peas next to the fence Tracy .I got pink fur seeded potatoes in, great for salad with a nutty taste.

Oh you could get one of those flight ✈️ apps and find out what plane it was and where it was from. X
I've got one now, it's scary and amazing all at the same time.
