From Florida but live after the 5th grade through 12th grad in Ohio. Clendenning lake I believe it's called. Fished with buddies all day. That evening kid an his mom show up bank fishing with Zebco 404s 10pound test. Using worms about dead. The boy caught a 57 1/2 inch Musky and made the paper. Heck of a day for that young fellow it would have been in 1980 or 81 I think.
Today, I would rank them like this: 1. West Branch 2. Leesville 3. Pidemont 4. Salt Fork 5. Ceasars Creek 6. CJ Brown Reservoir 7. Pymatuning 8. Milton 9. Clear Fork
West Branch is absolutely stupid in how good it can be, and the spring dam bite could be as good if not better than any other...even if you don't have a boat! Glass perch HJs and perch X raps kill it
A great video with lots of good information. I'm a Michigan der but it's awesome to see information like this that I could plan a vacation to Ohio and enjoy these great spots. Thank you for being honest and sharing your knowledge.
@gregh2930 Yeah ,one 3ft musky cut my line in the spillway while fishing for saugeye back in February. Using a Big Joshy 3.25" swimbait white clear/ silver flecks on Jigmasters swimjig hook

I’d argue alum creek is the best lake in Ohio. The concentration of them near the dam is just insane
My guess is this was compiled based on numbers reported to odnr with the fish program
Agree 💯% but Salt Fork is my favorite
Alum muskies are so thick. Very, very girthy, but the length does struggle because of the type of dam.

No
The picture you have for your video is actually a pike. Muskie have dark spots on light skin whereas pike are the opposite white spots on a green skin
Leesville is a terrible lake, don't go there...
Afraid others will catch his fish - hahahahha
