Where due to the damage caused by the gunshot wounds Courier Six took from Benny's assassination attempt, their weak/dormant Psyker powers to begin going out of control - thus causing all the brain damage-induced hallucinations they experience through their travels in the Mojave to become real.

There would be a fight, GW are absolute assholes about copyright. I don't think they'd win tho. The word Psyker is close enough to Psionic in meaning that their basically the same. Very interesting. However, it brings up an interesting concept. VATS. What if VATS is a research project that Vault-Tec instituted on almost all its vaults as part of a research project into psychic phenomena. I know the idea may seem a little flaky, but perhaps there is something there. We really are still scratching the surface of how much research Vault-Tec was doing.
“Scratching the surface” implies there’s canon and lore written we have to find, truth is it doesn’t exist, it was left vague and ambiguous and thanks to Bethesda has slowly been adding to it.
no. pump the breaks. Bethesda's BS take on Vault tec is just that, BS. Vault Tec was originally only suppose to do commonality experiments that wasnt to really harm its subjects. The water chip thing was a shipping error though. Experiments on sound waves, plants, cryo, and diseases. sure. But, an experiment to kill its own members by vote, a cloning vault, a waring vault, and a vault full of drug addicts? uhhh. thats fucking stupid. and its because of this that people now think Vault Tec started the fucking nuclear war.
@@kellerweskier7214 actually it was confirmed valt tec launched the first nuke, and at this point Fallout is morr Bethesda's game then it is interplay's. So they can do what they want with Fallout despite what the first 2 might have set in place. Plus 76 takes place before EVERYTHING so who's to say none of the stuff they add didn't happen? I'd love Psyker options for the PC in Fallout 5, which should center around the cosmic/eldritch lore from the Cabot quests just like 4 was centered around the institute lore from the Harkness quest in Fallout 3. 3 was centered around the Vault-Tec experiments hinted in Fallout 2, which was centered around U.S. Government shenanigans hinted at in Fallout 1.
I kinda hope Psykers get more of a spotlight in the next fallout game. I don't want a Skyrim "You're the dragonborn" situation going on where theres a series of psychic powers you can unlock by going to specific spots, but I would love like, maybe one companion with those types of powers.
Or make it you can choose a psycher trait which based on the perk path you follow for developing your powers has side effects, like becoming an empath causing emotional instability that makes combat harder since you feel the pain and hear the dying regrets of your enemies, or gaining pre-cognition causing migranes and drug dependency due to the excess information entering your brain from the future, or telepathy giving schizophrenia symptoms. make it clear that your brain didn't evolve to handle this.
Wasn't this a perk in New Vegas: Old World Blues? Where a dialogue option would often appear that can make someone's head explode but only if you have higher INT than them, if you don't then your head gets crippled instead.
i always loved the concept of psykers in fallout, i've written/read a few fallout xovers fanfics, usually with warhammers, centered around the psykers.

In regard to Nightkin having dialogue about companions, maybe the Nightkin at Jacobstown have this ability. I’m not sure; I haven’t tried myself. Great video by the way! I’ve been loving your Lore videos
Honestly I love magic in Fallout, it's just kinda there. Not really common at all and usually the result of FEV (Honestly I love FEV too, it's just the 'a wizard did it' of Fallout) but it's undeniably there. Allows for freaky moments in an otherwise "mundane" world.
would love for Bethesda to allow a spin off game that focused on the more supernatural aspect of Fallout, that and the Lovecraftian stuff is really worth exploring
I always imagined psykers in fallout games "connect" in some kind of way with radio waves and static and for that reason they spoke cryptic like in doctor,s handwrite language.... i remember the fallout 3 morse radio towers and old soviet spy broadcastings from the cold war... and thats how i explained myself why them talk so weirdly.

Been diving in to your backlog since you've been recommended to me, and I really like what you've accomplished. I prefer the longer-form content myself, but that's not a knock on your shorter videos; I have an understanding of the amount of work that must go into the research, not to mention the recording/editing/uploading, etc. That, and not every talking point deserves thirty-plus minutes, either. Keep up the good work, and I can't wait to see what you have for us next. In the meantime, I've got some more of your videos to keep me entertained. Thanks for your time.
Fallout 1 and 2, and even tactics a little bit had such amazing and in depth worlds. All the small details and interesting characters. NV and 3 really solidified the factions and their dynamic whereas 4 and 76 polished the system and combat. If only we could bring together all the developers from all the games and just have them make one perfect fallout with a modern engine and modding capabilities; it would be amazing.
Imagine if the master put more focus into psykers. If super mutants can’t breed, they certainly could and with his knowledge collected he could have easily grown and schooled them in their power to aid in his efforts.
I want to see Bethesda bring back this group into the next fallout but knowing what they did with supermutants it might be the best for them to just stay in the old games.

@@FuckTard-dd1ee You can say that about literally every lore video lol
@@milliondollarmistake alltho I like the idea my advise would be to wait for longer to do this since f76 will have a free addon coming regarding aliens i believe :)
Thay big squid man is called the "interloper"
@@cyriell No one plays F76 lol.
Courier Six could be a Psyker too. This idea coming from my headcanon of when you pick Wild Wasteland. Where due to the damage caused by the gunshot wounds Courier Six took from Benny's assassination attempt, their weak/dormant Psyker powers to begin going out of control - thus causing all the brain damage-induced hallucinations they experience through their travels in the Mojave to become real.
that’s actually an insanely cool theory
I'd argue the curriers power is stronger than is given credit for due to Terrifying Presence
A vid about Zion Valley and the tribes there, or maybe a vid about The Burned Man.
Or *Tunnelers*
Do they ever use the term "Psyker" after Fallout 2? I guess it is rare enough that the term hasn't spread as far.
In Fallout Tactics there was also a tribe of raiders which had a few members capable of controlling some local fauna.
40k fans have been joking that fallout is just terra (earth) during the age of strife, but this is making that joke even funnier.
Mama Murphy: I can see the future
The Sole Survivor: Say psyke right now
It would be awesome to be a psyker in a future fallout game. Have some cool perks to go along with it.
Psykers would a be cool addition to a future fallout game - think about it, the design principle of the dragon shouts from skyrim but working like the plasmids from bio shock.
One thing tho, wouldn't They have to change the name give how synonymous the term is with the 40K brand?
I'm not sure, but if that was an issue I imagine the name would be altered to psychics/psionics or something along those lines
There would be a fight, GW are absolute assholes about copyright. I don't think they'd win tho. The word Psyker is close enough to Psionic in meaning that their basically the same. Plus beyond the powers being psionic in nature, the two types of "Psykers" are so different that I'm not sure it would hold water.
Disclaimer: I'm not a lawyer.
@@Kainpound wether gw would win a frivolous lawsuit like that is of little concern, because Bethesda wouldn't want to waste money fighting those assholes in court in the first place
Not really since term psyker is consider to public domain not created by GW. Or they would like to fight with the others that use it even Disney
Microsoft owns Bethesda now, gw try to start shit Microsoft will rape them hard, it be like a deathclaw taking out a tiny annoying molerat.
But it be cool to be a pysker and have things like telekinesis, it could make for a good story of how the Brotherhood of Steel are hunting you an your tribe down. Since they will consider you a mutant and must die.
I’d love to see a lore video on the Think Tank from Old World Blues.
Can't really get mad at 76 for doing its own thing when we really don't have in game confirmation of things going down the way they did. So imo 76 can do whatever they want as long as it's explained logically, which most of it has.
@@mrplayfulshade Confirmed where? The closest I could find was that the nuke in Megaton has a symbol that sorta kinda looks like the Vault-Tec logo if you squint.
@@thebolas000 76 has some terminals and such that highly suggest it but it was comfirmed in a script of Fallout that neither america or china launched the first nuke. Not confirmed in dialouge but in the script itself
YESSIR! Man I was so worried you didn’t post for a while. But I’m glad you did! Hope your doing well!💯🔥💪
Can you do a video on Tunnelers from the divide pls? They are the biggest threat to the mojave
I love the Master's description of his psychic attack and how it makes the player's sins bring them to their knees and weeping.
I wish we could use phyker powers in fallout. Imagine being able to make peoples heads explode like with the mezmatron
Lame. Not everyone needs to be a lesbian super saiyan with a huge d*ck.
Wasn't this a perk in New Vegas: Old World Blues? Where a dialogue option would often appear that can make someone's head explode but only if you have higher INT than them, if you don't then your head gets crippled instead.
@@Goose_BW What?
There’s a mod for this in Fallout 4, which including the head exploding attack.
Check out the review for Underrail. SsethTzeentach reviews it and its gameplay is similar to fallout.
i always loved the concept of psykers in fallout, i've written/read a few fallout xovers fanfics, usually with warhammers, centered around the psykers.
Me being a 40K fan: **hmmmm**
Can't believe gw are okay with this tbh
BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD 🩸
Every single fallout protagonist is actually the Man emperor of mankind
Me liking both universes *MmMmMMmmMmMmMmMMMmmMm*
@@daveg7516 hahaha don't worry the wolves are coming
I always thought Mama Murphy's earrings looked strangling similar to Lorenzo's headpiece.
Man this channel is about as addictive as Med-X, I've been binging your vids for several hours now
The beastlords in Fallout Tactics are interesting too, they can control insects, including radscorpions.
Considering The Wide Range Of Abilities, Could The Mysterious Stranger Be A Psyker? I Mean, The Skill Set Isn't Even Unique, With Miss Fortune Exhibiting The Same Abilities, Perhaps Im Just Looking Too Deep, But It's Not A Impossibility
I love this video. I thought I knew everything about psykers in Fallout, but this had new takes on the topic that I hadn't considered. 10/10!
In regard to Nightkin having dialogue about companions, maybe the Nightkin at Jacobstown have this ability. I’m not sure; I haven’t tried myself.
Great video by the way! I’ve been loving your Lore videos
Fuk yeah love some fallout lore second I wake up .
Damn, I've never paid this much attention to this topic aside from Master and his experiments in FO1. Keep up the good work!
I am absolutely loving your fallout content. I hope you keep it up
Honestly I love magic in Fallout, it's just kinda there. Not really common at all and usually the result of FEV (Honestly I love FEV too, it's just the 'a wizard did it' of Fallout) but it's undeniably there.
Allows for freaky moments in an otherwise "mundane" world.
In a world where aliens and eldritch beings are true, magic isn't far iff.
would love for Bethesda to allow a spin off game that focused on the more supernatural aspect of Fallout, that and the Lovecraftian stuff is really worth exploring
thanks buddy still haven't played fo1 or 2 where this topic is more explored but i'm thankful for the info
Would be quite neat if the next Fallout game had some way to unlock either of these abilities. Always more toys to mess with in end-game.
i just found this channel recently and there’s a new upload as soon as i find it? so cool
A very interesting Topic in the Fallout Franchise
Great Video as Always 👌
this channel is so underrate bro u make great lore content
Thank you 😁👍
Gotta say, you have a pretty good thing going on here. I didn't come around to crap on other peoples' channels- but I'd just about thrown in the towel as far as Fallout lore on yt was concerned, for whatever reason.
I love listening to your videos when I’m driving to college! Thank you
You're welcome 😁 good luck with your studies!
Please keep the lore videos coming. Absolute fire 🔥
11:14 I love that voice acting.
i don't know if i should be embarrassed or not because i always thought the psykers were some kind of crazy religion
also great video please make more lore videos there really good
This video proves the theory that the world of the elder scrolls is the future of the fallout world
40k fans : *I've seen this one before*
I would like to see some lore on the tribals of Fallout Nv
Correction, the plant in Harold's head is named Herbert, he calls him Bob to annoy him
You could always go through the voicelines in the game files to find the nightkin lines.
I had already predicted that your vid would be great, but the subject matter... I didn't see that coming!
Hey, great video! I've always loved the parkers in the series and wanted to do a bunch of builds for them and have one more addition! Jared, the raider leader at Corvega is also a psycker through Chen's and used his powers to find the last of the minutemen and mama Murphy, it's how they were able to track them and why the did it so far
You can see this in his computer notes
Nice! Had no idea he was one 😅
@@Synonymous101 Yeah, it was a surprise when I first learned it. Honestly I wish that Bethesda implemented small touches like this more into the fights since so many of the raiders have great stories. Plus I just want to fight a psyker and old women and children aren't really challenges XP.
Finally been waiting for new ones
it would be interesting if we could become a psyker of some kind
I always thought the chosen one was just a schizo
Teleportation? Sole Survivor Specced into Blitz has ya covered. Along with psychic blasts whenever the game can't be arsed to path you to the enemy.
Damn Psyker Mama Murphy reading my half de-frosted mind…..
I am onto you,WITCH!!!!!!
I wonder if Mama Murphy is related to Hakunen. Their abilities are activated so similarly there could be a connection.
Great video synonymous! Loving these lore videos!
The character you play is a Psyker: they can see into the future, explaining the save/load function.
Yes, inquisitor. This guy right here.
I'm here! 😎 Great video, just posting a comment to show some support! Keep up the good work. 🤙
I would add Beastlords from Fallout Tactics to the psykers' list if Fallout Tactics was considered cannon.
Absolutely out of the park as usual, mate. Give your back a pat. Your unbiased, cannon take on the lore of Fallout is an absolute joy with the other many sensationalist idiots making content 'from their perspective'
Now when I think about it Red Lucy from Thorn (new vegas) never shares the secret how the animals are tamed. I know she is rasing them from eggs but still. I would trust a crododile even if I raided it.
Awesome video!!
I wish we could get some mole miners lore some day from Bethesda so you could cover it!!
Great videos mate!
I really hope in next Fallout we can get some paranormal skills/mechanics.
I really like the psykers to be a small thing in Fallout, a blink and you'll miss it.
Mainly because as ridiculous and crazy as Fallout stories are they are still more or less grounded.
I always love shooting up with Mama Murphy; she always ODs on me like a lightweight
Let's make a petition for Bethesda to make a "Pre War" Fallout game XD
That would be cool it would be a prequel game though.
i never played fallout or 2 i started from 3 but seriously these 1 and 2 deserve a remake hope one day Bethesda do it
Fallout Psykers: *Need a virus to properly use their powers*
