Also, due to recently reading a Doom Patrol comic, this made me think of the DC character Robot Man who is similar to the Robo-Brains in that he has his human brain inside the body of a machine though his body is completely humanoid and near identical to a humans in shape though clearly robotic in appearance. Given the later retcon that the Chief, the founder of the Doom Patrol who personally saved his brain was actually responsible for the accident that left everything but his brain irreparably damaged, Robot Man should be thankful that the Chief never played a Fallout game, lest he be inspired to scrub out his original personality for a perfectly obedient slave though even with him retaining his personality and memories, he still has to struggle living in a lifeless metal shell as well as phantom limb syndrome which for him is brought to the extreme because he still feels bodily sensations he no longer has which are maddening to him in their own right. Robobrains are easily my favourite robots in the Fallout franchise the fact that they can use weapons such as rifles is amazing it’s a shame we don’t see that in the modern Fallout games
The terrifying thing about the RobCo Robobrain project in Boston is not only were they using unwilling prisoners but they also had a preference for using the more unstable ones. Which explains why those Robobrains ended up being quite murderous. Like many pre-war science experiments, I have no idea how they thought that was gonna be a good idea.

Not even joking I was wondering why we didn't see many robo-brains in fallout 4. This explains it very well. Very nice!
Amazing video as always, you've definitely taught me a lot about the robobrain lore, which I lacked much knowledge on.
Hey Synonymous. I just recent discovered your channel and I love every video. I really enjoy your restricted play throughs and would love to see something like random speed runs like “defacing the humble stone” or activating Fisto. Thanks for all the great content and I can say I have learned something new from your videos being an avid Fallout NV player.
The robobrain in the research center in fallout 76 during the wastelanders quest is fucking hilarious
Played over 300 hours of fallout 3 and still didn't know vast majority of the research you doing
Fantastic as always 🙏🙏
10:17 You really don’t often make takes like that, but if they happen… I laughed pretty good on that delivery, good work man!
absolutely loving the fallout lore series! you might just be my new favorite lore channel
Welcome aboard! 😁👍
Ah yes, now this is keeping me on edge just imagining a society such as this where intelligent beings that differ from us exist.
RB: You will be EXTERMINATED
C6: [Terrifying Presence] Check you records.
RB: MERCY
Thank you for doing these videos, truly helps me immerse myself deeper into the fallout world.
Whoa!! I'm just gonna comment on this video but THEY"RE ALL AWESOME lol Dude these are the perfect companion for me while I work. Thank you for posting these mini documentaries. Keep up the good work!
You left one question unanswered… how did the sole survivor woohoo one??
I'm sure there's an exhaust around the back somewhere 😅
Every other comment on your videos is someone dragging Oxhorn through the mud, and its god damn amazing
Beautiful what we can do when a mutual hatred is found
Yeah he’s bad, and not just because he’s a bigot

"Bigot"
a person who is obstinately or unreasonably attached to a belief, opinion, or faction, especially one who is prejudiced (preconceived opinion that is not based on reason or actual experience.) against or antagonistic(showing or feeling active opposition or hostility toward someone or something.) toward a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular group.

I have a video suggestion (if you haven't already done it): the lore of chems.
They'd definitely be a good discussion, considering the roles they play in Fallout.
Definitely!
Edit: spelling because I'm dumb
Always look forward to your uploads. Thank you for the great content!!
i imagine being a robobrain is like that one scene in robocop where you see from his perspective when, well, his brain was in a jar
I absolutely love the effort you put into these videos! I bought you a few coffees today as a gesture of my gratitude. Hope you enjoy and keep up the great work!
I can't thank you enough! Much appreciated, friend 😁👍
thanks for not acting over the top surprised about everything in your videos like oxhorn. its extremely appreciated
@Sakata Gintoki yeah exactly. did they close the facility ? is today monday ? what where they searching for ? i mean come on. i want to watch a video that gives me information i might have missed not someone questioning everything endlessly like they are a fish that makes his first stepps on land.
@@l.h.9747 😂😂😂 I hate when oxhorn "nappa" does that
Nothing worse that the shitty forced over acting.
@Sakata Gintoki to be honest i think most of those views are just because he has videos about nearly everything fallout related. Not shure but i think he can do fallout videos fulltime and has with that just an edge of what the videos are about. I gladly take videos from somewhere else like this channel to avoid the acting bullshit and get the lore information i want
@@l.h.9747 I disagree. Acting, no matter how over the top it may be, can only serve to better enhance a documentary-type production. This is regardless of the fact that little of the Fallout universe is true in the real world.
Skynet was also developing a metal endoskeleton surrounded by living tissue but that abandoned until the Institutes own project took off
Ha!
Can’t believe I’m 6 days late, when this was the one I was most interested in.
They reminds me of Star Wars droids. Developing personalities and all. Minus the need for a brain.
I am glad that this video was recommended to me! The Robobrains are an extremely interesting part of the lore to me! Thoroughly enjoyed this video! Subscribed for sure! :D
Welcome aboard! Glad you enjoyed the video 😁👍
Man, I found your channel by accident. Thank you so much!
I've been listening to your videos while I'm working. Keep it up!
Greetings from Brazil.
love these videos, great to watch when youre bored
The Robobrain or how we Warhammer 40k Fans call it: The Servitor
You don't need to find the 40k fan they will make themselves known to you.

I give this video a juicy hitchhiker thumb!
Makes you feel bad for Biv E Ridge from 76 doesn’t it?
The only friendly robobrain and he’s destined to one day not be.
The "opposable claws" are a brilliant touch.
The only way to really describe them, pincers would also work I guess 😂
Robobrains remind me of Daleks which are creatures placed inside of a metal casing.
Exactly! Like a f-ed up combo of Daleks and Cybermen!
Great video, thanks!
I remember taking cover beside one of these things along side a Outcast Brotherhood Patrol when we were attacked by some Raiders and eventually some BOS. Treated it like a Micro-Tank, Support Fire Platform.
Id be lying if I wasn't expecting something like mariposa military base, hell even some lore on vaults but I'm not complaining because I know very little about robobrains
Side note, I thought that skynet segment was leading to a terminator joke...safe to say I was pleasantly surprised
Ok I'm either experiencing a glitch or I put this on the wrong video, if it's the latter I am very embarrassed
Update: it was a glitch
Dude your channel blew up! You were under 10k subs when i subbed and that wasnt long ago. Keep up the great work!
A lot of people just sort of showed up! 😅
I was always fascinated with the Robobrain for some reason.
I like all the content you make. Keep up the great work.
I've always been interested in knowing more about them thank you 👍
I just started watching they's videos and they are really good please keep up the good work
New synonymous video? Yes please
For whatever reason, I've always considered these bots to be the creepiest enemy in fallout, especially 3 due to the voice acting.
Maybe I just love robot friendlies a bit too much, but I'm kinda surprised that no one has really reprogrammed them at all. Or that there aren't any robo brains who have gone and tried to make it on their own (more or less ED-E's case). I mean, you'd think that someone would have tried to improve on it. Given that someone tried upgrading an eye bot of all things
Also, when I see a robo brain with the eye my brain goes "Claptrap, start boot up sequence"
This series is like mentats: charismatic, intelligent, and habit-forming.
Absolutely brilliant! 👏👍 You should totally try lore for locations as well. Say for example, Big M.T or Raven rock.
I just want to say synonymous I love how you went through and read all the comments and liked them. I think that's amazing cuz a lot of people don't do that
They, just like you, have taken the time to comment so the least I can do is show some appreciation! 😁👍
Sometimes when i see these guys, I'm reminded of Tom Servo. xD
That reminds me Fallout Tactics... the calculator... 😏
I love robobrains. They're the coolest robot in Fallout. I hope we get one as a companion em Fallout 5
Feel like they're so under utilized. I too wish they would make more content focusing them. A quest like Rex's in F:NV but for robobrain? that would be sick
@@AskJoe1 Fallout 2 has what you’re looking for. You can construct a Robobrain in a hidden facility that has your skills and resources determine the overall quality of the Robobrain.
And yes, it is a companion.
With the fallout 4 automatron DLC you can get a robobrain settler named Jezebel
The most disturbing story since Cook-Cook
Imagine being a super talented cybernetics scientist, working on an extrmely top secret and a-moral project to produce the most advanced cybernetic organism in history only for the end result of your years of hard work being delegated to mere pest control or janitorial duties.......
Nice video, dude. I don't even play Fallout anymore but here I am watching a Fallout lore vid.
Always felt sorry for the robobrains cant imagine that hell of being trapped in a chassis
I don't wanna see a single dislike
A collab between you and radking would be awesome!
Radking has some qaulity content doesn't he 😁👍
Ok but now I want someone to mod a side story about a scientist who made a robobrain without any wipes because the donor's brain was just too fascinating
Ok question, was the Ai in fallout actually called sky net? Like…. Terminator sky net?
Yeah.
I heard that, and I was like:' OH S%#@!' The world of Terminator and of Fallout have many scary similarties!
there were a lot of pop culture references in fallout 2
Keep doing videos like this maybe next do some more creatures of the fallout universe maybe mirelurks
That's actually one of the next videos! 😂
@@Synonymous101 I’m psychic I can hear everyone’s mind 😎
Me watching this while getting screwed by giant cazadores in zion: I feel a little woozy
Good stuff, personally I put down all robobrains out of pitty. That seems like such a hell:
Scientist: "Are you intelligent but a prisoner or deserter? Then get in this trash can and mop the floor."
Dude these videos get to the point and I don’t hear screaming such as others that do these lores. “HERE WE SEE THE SUNSET SASPIRILLA MACHINE WHERE YOU GIVE HIM ALL 50 STAR CAPS.” Idk I came up with something
Did you say skynet?! That’s a reference to the terminator,
Always nice to see upload from you, sir!
Lovely stuff mate
Very interesting video! Great job Syn!
Thanks man! 😁👍
I could never understand why they didn't put Bradburton into a Robobrain? Instead of just putting his head in a jar for 200+ years
You should a lore video on all ways to extend life in fallout
Robobrains look like Americanized Guntanks from Mobile Suit Gundam
Skynet? I heard that right?
13:28 I like the robobrain you can create yourself in the big crater, it starts to wonder why it exist and then "NOOOOOO!!!" as it explodes in electrical explosions.
It's hard to believe all this technology and they didn't invent small transactions
