This is an old report ( 2013 ) Since then ST now offers unlimited data( 25gb) so throttling is not an issue unless you stream all day long . As far as customer service goes , I've never had to wait more than a few minutes to talk to someone and they are always helpful

Anymore 25 gigs is not a lot of data if you need your phone at work you're going to go through 25 gigs like it's nothing then you're getting throttled at 2G I had a Walmart up plan very similar to this I had to end up going to MetroPCS and since I went there I've got two phones and a tablet for $97 a month with never a slowdown
I worked for T-Mobile and now Tracfone. Straight Talk has come a long way as to what it was. Being a Sale Rep for the company now its nice knowing it doesn't take 30 mins to get a rep for technical issues. Its take more like 5 because you have to go through the automatic prompt first. Other then that we offer all the same deals as big companies for a much lower price. Down side is that you will not be seeing "Free Phones" anywhere. Also to everyone saying your data speeds are slow. It depends on what area also. Anyways, with a secondary line being a straight talk phone using Verizon towers I see speeds upwards of 55+ mbps. You guys may need to up date your APN settings.
We have been ST customers a long time. Just recently got a letter that our ST land line box needed to be replaced. So I ordered one. When it came in mail I called ST and was the phone a very long time. New box would not work. We were told we would get a new one in the mail. Never received it. We have been without our land line about 3 weeks now. Its frustrating because my husband have no phone. Help!
I used to be a major straghttalk customer. They shut off my data on their newest plan of all the data you want. I switched to cricket and have not had any problems here.
I did have great service, never had any buffering, never had dropped calls always had my service even with one bar! Now it's completely different and I'm totally dissatisfied, THANKS VERIZON. I went to straight talk because Verizon was giving me the same issues. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
I use to have Sprint $35 with only 1Gb or data and I was all happy about it lol now I have simple mobile and I have unlimited data I waste 60-80 GB of data for $50 a month what else can I ask for 👍😎

That has changed since then. Both the $45 and $55 unlimited plans offer truly unlimited high speed data. This report was from 2013. They’ve gotten better since then

I been using straight talk in 2013 it wasn't good the data was very slow in 2013. Than i went to cricket and us celluar, now in 2019 i went back to straight talk its very better now!!! everything is unlimited i love it i been with straight talk for 2 years now straight and I love it
K what you do is one get a Verizon compatible phone with straight talk that uses cdma towers they have phones that use GMA and cdma get the ones with CDMA then you have speed like Verizon. Two it's 45$ a month for 10 gbs or 55 for 60 gbs. After you use it it will slow down speed bit hey at least unlike Verizon or other big phone carriers they don't slap hidden fees or charge you 15$ per gig you go over. Been using straight talk for yrs best plan if ever used

No the $55 plan is not unlimited I ran out one of the customer service reps said that it cuts off at 60 gigs but I'm kind of confused on that because I am at 120 gigs of data used and my phone still running but I expect it to be turned off any day now I only get about a week or two I use so much data from using my Hotspot 4 my PS4 and apparently if you have a hotspot on your phone you're not allowed to use it for some stupid ass reason why even put the hotspot on there and why let me activate it if I'm not allowed to use it it don't make any sense I think it is just a big scam if I'm not allowed to use a hotspot on my phone they should disconnect it and not let me use it or how about don't put the hot spots on the Straight Talk phones in the first place!!!!!!!!!!
Also do we not have American customer service reps every time I have a problem with straight talk I end up talking to some Indian with this God awful accident and that just makes me more frustrated because I can't f****** understand what they're saying

I was a customer for a long time. When I tried to change my number, my phone stopped working and wouldn't make or receive calls. I talked to 7 customer service agents and none of them got my phone fixed. I was without service for OVER 36 HOURS so I called and canceled my service and went to AT&T. I had half of a month of my service left and wanted them to refund me the money that they owed me. The refund guy was very rude and told me that I would have to call my bank to get my money back.

I've been a boostmobile customer for 10 years now. They are better than straight talk. They give unlimited date w. 4G speed. I connect upto 5 devices, smart tv, camera, cells and pau only $50 a month w no taxes. It's $45 with autopay. Unlimited text, calls !!! I check every year to see if there is a better plan, but nothing beats them . I currently have S4. If they are in your are, you should look into it. They never throttle

When I had Straight Talk I decided to have my bill come out of my account each month vs me having to run out to the store and buy more minutes. The issue started when my Credit Union switched to another Credit Union and I received a new debit card. I called their over seas customer service rep and had them put my new card on file. My bill went up because I was no longer locked into the $45.00 plan. They told me that every time I have to put a new card on file I would be locked into the current plan they were offering. This made no sence to me since they are offering a $45.00 plan on their site. When I actually lost my card for the very first time in my life, I of course had to call and have a new debit card put on my account once more. My plan went up yet again! They were charging me taxs and a fee for 911. Seriously? This is a PRE PAID plan! I was tired of dealing with them and swithed to another carrier. Just be aware the Trac phones will not switch with any other provider.
Straight Talk is a bunch of Thieves. A couple months ago the tray that holds the SD card and SIMs card was broken. They told me to send them the phone and they will send me a new one. I had a TCL 30 XL. I paid $174 for it. I put a $45 card on it and used it for two or three days and then the tray was broke. So I sent them the phone and to this day they will still not send me one. They're telling me that they don't have one to send me. This is been going on for a couple months. They told my case manager at the mental facility that they would send me $100 phone until they obtained another TCL. Wait 3 to 5 business days. That was told me four different times. I have still yet to receive a phone. When I sent the phone I told them if they don't send me another phone to please send the old phone back because I had a trey for it. They said they can't send that phone back to me. So now I have no phone with Straight Talk. I keep getting messages saying I'm going to lose my number because I'm not re-upping my phone. I can't afford a lawyer. I don't know what I'm supposed to do now. My case manager cannot help me because it is a legal matter. I have the dates and times of all the phone calls. They not only lied to me they lied to my case manager on the phone as well. They're basically ripping me off. So all I can basically do is start flooding a bunch of different videos and message boards about what they have done to me. They must not be God fearing people. Because what they're doing is wrong. They should not be taking advantage of people with low income that can't afford to fight back. So please file some charges against me for posting all this stuff so I can get in front of a judge and tell my story about how s***** you guys are. Straight Talk should be ashamed of themselves and when the day of judgment comes they shall not pass for what they are doing. I have the receipt when I sent the phone I have all the dates and times I called them I have my case manager that was lied to you as well. It's one lie after another just prolonging it thinking I will just give up. I'm not going to give up. All I have is time on my hands
I have had Straight talk services for 2 years the telephone talk service is okay but the 4G LTE is more like 2G my phone would keep falling out of 4G services and it should not because it is a very good phone with good radios the Moto z4 I also have a iPhone 11 it would do the same thing, my wife Samsung S10 was on the AT&t server it would fall out in different areas very easy the same phone I had had previously on T-Mobile server no problem.... The iPhone and the Moto z4 were on the Verizon servers the 4G LTE was horrible..... Straight talk still wanting a lot of money for cheap services I mean they should be all unlimited with hotspot capabilities and not limited this is 2021..... Visible and T-Mobile will put them out of business before long..... PS Straight talk will not unlock your phone it don't matter if you have had it for a year and a half they will not do it hope this is help someone to save you from the headache and the heartache that I have had.....
Be warned!! once they have your money you will not get it back! I accidentally applied airtime to my phone but wanted to apply time to my girlfriends phone, I ended up getting a new end date & lost half a month of service!! Will switch service providers soon!! BTW, tech calls goes overseas.

I like Straight Talk and haven't had too many issues with it. You gotta buy the more expensive models tho to make it worth ur while although I have a cheap phone as a standby phone if the other one croaks. A great phone service overall and I hardly use customer service.

the Con is that there are no Pros. Straight Talk is by far the worst service i have ever used. You can keep your number but not the Sim card if it's from a different Carrier. The straight talk is a pre paid service so no contract's.

So all I can basically do is start flooding a bunch of different videos and message boards about what they have done to me. They must not be God fearing people. Because what they're doing is wrong. They should not be taking advantage of people with low income that can't afford to fight back. So please file some charges against me for posting all this stuff so I can get in front of a judge and tell my story about how s***** you guys are. Straight Talk should be ashamed of themselves and when the day of judgment comes they shall not pass for what they are doing. I have the receipt when I sent the phone I have all the dates and times I called them I have my case manager that was lied to you as well. It's one lie after another just prolonging it thinking I will just give up. I'm not going to give up. All I have is time on my hands

I have had Straight talk services for 2 years the telephone talk service is okay but the 4G LTE is more like 2G my phone would keep falling out of 4G services and it should not because it is a very good phone with good radios the Moto z4 I also have a iPhone 11 it would do the same thing, my wife Samsung S10 was on the AT&t server it would fall out in different areas very easy the same phone I had had previously on T-Mobile server no problem.... The iPhone and the Moto z4 were on the Verizon servers the 4G LTE was horrible..... Straight talk still wanting a lot of money for cheap services I mean they should be all unlimited with hotspot capabilities and not limited this is 2021..... Visible and T-Mobile will put them out of business before long..... PS Straight talk will not unlock your phone it don't matter if you have had it for a year and a half they will not do it hope this is help someone to save you from the headache and the heartache that I have had.....

Be warned!! once they have your money you will not get it back! I accidentally applied airtime to my phone but wanted to apply time to my girlfriends phone, I ended up getting a new end date & lost half a month of service!! Will switch service providers soon!! BTW, tech calls goes overseas.

I used T-Mobile for 4 years..... I switched to straight talk and straight talk is ridiculous it is the slowest internet there is...... I made a mistake switching to straight talk......

I like Straight Talk and haven't had too many issues with it. You gotta buy the more expensive models tho to make it worth ur while although I have a cheap phone as a standby phone if the other one croaks. A great phone service overall and I hardly use customer service.

David Tate Sr no unlimited plan is truly unlimited not matter what provider you have they always have caps on there data and honesty 60gb is a hell of a lot of data I am on data all the time never hit 60gb and I’m watching videos playing multiplayer games never hit it
David Tate Sr many companies although they say have unlimited data shut you off I’ve heard from many people straighttalk gives you 60 gbs honestly does it really matter about the unlimited fact when hitting 60 should be really hard to get to saying companies give true unlimited data that’s great must of changed then but in the end your tied to a contract and a phone for said amount of time while I have a lot of freedom not to mention my phone connects to Verizon towers making it even better

Straight Talk is by far the worst service i have ever used.
Its supposed to be a mobile wireless service but it seems i am always standing in one spot due to horrid connection speed in what is supposed to be LTE speeds. also dont bother calling tech support for anything unless you are good at understanding horribly broken and bad english.
