Best comment. No need to look further.
In fact, Jomboy ought to change the title to this.

Yeah, that was a little intimate 😂

He had his hands on manoahs hips too was weird lol
U mad?
I remember doing this to Yoshi in Mario Super Sluggers for the Wii.. I had Boo on my roster and accidently sent Yoshi out instead. The guy was PISSED at me, but I really needed his speed in center field. It all worked out, because Boo pitched a gem, but he and I don't speak to this day.
Now i wanna see Jomboy do a Mario Super Sluggers breakdown, lip reading and everything
I remember that game. Fortunately, Yoshi recovered in time to hit a walk-off homer in game 7 of the '08 Mushroom Kingdom Series.

Once saw a college coach burn a mound visit by calling time, crossing the foul line... and then apparently changing his mind and heading back to the dugout. Called time later in the inning and made it all the way to the mound, only with the intent of talking strategy. The ump informed him that was his second mound visit. Coach lost it with the ump, and that was the coach's final mound visit of the day because he got thrown out of the game.
As an umpire, I had something very similar happen in a game 30 years ago. The coach got halfway out to the mound and said, "I've changed my mind" and walked back to the dugout. He thought that would cancel the visit. Nope.
Managers, not coaches, in baseball.

Yeah a missed pickup. (As we say in the business.)
His vids suck compared to channels that actually know rules and know what they're talking about most of the time. Jomboy doesn't.

@@johnsrabe Nah. It was meta. Just like the manager forgot he already came out.
How's Frazier not over there shouting 'YOU GO THAT WAY!' ?? More restraint than me...
That's what i would have been yelling
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Adam doesn't need to say anything to the Blue Jays he knocked them out of the playoffs last year.
So true lol
@@derrickspitzer3718 You missing the self-satisfaction of getting to be a smart assed dick head to the guy that was just a smart assed dick head to you! Personally, I couldn't pass up that opportunity...
I would have laughed my ass off if Frazier yelled at Manoah as he was walking off ... "Yeah, you go that way !!!"
I still think it’s hilarious how the Jays have Kiermaier after he snatched that strategy card from them when he was on the rays🤣
Plot twist, he’s still secretly on Rays pay roll and is still just stealing Blue jays strays 😅
Strategic move. Since he found out their secrets, it's safer for them to sign him so that he won't have any incentive to reveal them
And now he's on the Dodgers
Jake had an interesting theory that Schneider actually did this on purpose so he could take Manoah out of the game with a decent stat line and boost his confidence.
Nah his reaction when the ump told him looked genuine.
I thought the same thing.
The O's actually had 11 hard hit balls against Manoah in this game. 7 of which resulted in outs. The box score shows a good outing, but a deeper dive shows the O's were barreling balls up all game against him. Manoah's baseball savant page is one of the worst I've ever seen for a pitcher. lol
Look up Corey Klubers, it’s significantly worse somehow
@@Quackers-zr7vy actually I think, that Manoah's is even worse than Kluber's. They are both shit though
Yeah Manoah is having a straight up bad season thus far. Even his "quality starts" are downright worrying.
@@Quackers-zr7vy That's not that surprising. Kluber's career is hanging by a thread. Another surprisingly horrible savant page is the Braves pitcher Bryce Elder. He has a 2.06 ERA, but his savant page makes him look like one of the worst pitchers in the league.
the stats that are available these days. i cant imagine how bad some of my heros actually are. i love it though. i never saw this before...
The " we were talking about a lot of different stuff" reminds me of the scene from Bull Durham. "We dealing with a lot of stuff out here".
Bull Durham references are probably the last untapped pop culture goldmine so many quotes in there that should make a comeback. Relax. Alright, don't try to strike everybody out. Strike outs are boring, besides that, they're facist. Throw some ground balls - it's more democratic. So relax, let's have fun OK? It's fun goddamnit!
1:50 How could it get split decisions? It both crossed the plate fully, and the bat also started to face the first base side. Both interpretations of a check swing would call that a swing.
2:32 Danny Jansen is the only Jay player standing there that knew what just happened and what was going to happen.
Danny would do a better job managing the team from behind home plate honestly.
@@kevinrasmussen1319 Catchers do seem to make good managers when their catcher careers are over.
good catch!
Good on the manager for owning up to the mistake. Also, the checked swing did go around. Good call.
yah, I think the coach brain farted.
I think it's a matter of weeks before Don Mattingly is named the new Jays manager.
Exactly - epic fail !!
Then hopefully we get more horesh*t videos
Probably not
God I hope so I miss Don Mattingly ejections.

Manoah talking with an ERA of 5+ is the closest we’re gonna se to Pat Bev in an MLB uniform🤣
Pat Bev and Marcus Smart are perfect examples of what a joke defensive awards in the NBA are.
To be fair, he had a good start on this day, so he was probably feeling a lot more confident than usual
The difference is, Manoah has skill, Beverly has mouth.
Making it sound like he wasn’t elite not that long ago ?
He was elite though
1:50 I think he swung here. The bat fully crossed home plate. It is close, but I think it's a swing
I don’t watch enough baseball anymore. But watching your clips and breaks down is what I look forward to on breaks and lunches thank you!!
@1:12 Adam Frazier's Franklin batting gloves look really cool
As Manoah is walking off, if I'm Frazier, I'm 100% standing there on the top step of the dugout shouting, "You go that way! You go that way!". LOL
Watching that happen live was both confusing and amusing at the same time
3:32 this shot looks like a father and son having a heart-to-heart conversation.
The Blue Jays ran themselves into five outs in three games vs the Orioles; two guys nailed by Austin Hays when they tried to stretch singles into doubles; Biggio over-sliding second base; Belt getting thrown out at 3rd by the shortstop on a ground ball; and Merrifield getting picked off of first. The team is not fundamentally sound; they don't seem to have a good sense of situational awareness, so they just do dumb things. After watching Schneider screw up the mound visit, now I know why. That one is unforgivable.
Other than the past week they’ve actually been more fundamentally sound than last year and the pick up of Kiermaier helped that and Merrifield helps a lot now that’s he’s starting more. For the most part it’s succeeded, but this past week has been a sh*tshow.
Said it before, say it again, if you get a rookie manager you better be ready for their first 600 mistakes. I don't think Schneider's bad but Jays should have replaced Montoyo with someone more experienced.
There's just something about the core of this group that can't get it done when it really matters. Guerrero Jr. has great numbers, but check out what he does in clutch situations with the game on the line. Judge, well we know what he does. Mountcastle, yup, he executes. But Guerrero, as much as I like him, doesn't get it done. Their bullpen isn't deep enough. Varsho has not been an upgrade. Too many mistakes, too many bad plays at bad times...Schneider included.
Are you referring to a Judge of whom I'm unaware?
Believe it or not this is an improvement. Go watch the triple play from 2021 we gave up to the Yankees.
Semien on 3B, Bo on 2B, Vlad at the plate, 0 outs.
As a Braves fan we went to battle with the Blue Jay's just a week ago! They beat us four straight! Everybody has injuries they deal with. The point is Toronto is a Very Good baseball team!!
Three straight. But yeah. The Jays make no sense this year. Swept 2 of the best teams in the NL, then turn around and get wrecked to bits by our own division :/

@2:12 how many times did "the manager Schneider comes out"? 😂
That transition to the ad for “flavored air” was very nice.
I mean its on the manager but where was the Bench Coach, Pitching Coach, Hitting Coach, 1st and 3rd Coaches and the players saying Yo Skip, dont go out
Is it still a rule that it's not a mound visit if he doesn't cross the foul line?
Because I feel like if it is, someone definately should have come out and grabbed him or something
We need a breakdown when Ozuna hits Will Smith

Most slick transition into the add read. Jomboy making top notch plays!
3:02 Manoah anticipating the lip-reading attempt, then says screw it
As a jays fan watching this live I thought he did this knowing it was the 2nd visit because he wanted his pitcher out but didn’t want to show him up, and did a great acting job pretending to be surprised.

Given how the Umps are, It's to see someone in baseball admit to their mistakes.
🙄
@@Niel2760 What's the eye roll for? It was a perfectly valid comment. Did you see the clip where the ump admitted he called time but ejected the manager and catcher anyway? How about any of the other shit calls that they eject players for calling out? Baseball would be better without the ump union. Teams could ump for themselves like they did back in the day and probably get better officiating because these umps are not held accountable.

I was at this game. I was confused when Manoah came out because it looked like just a mound visit but makes sense now lol
This is the first time I’ve paid attention to the tattoo on his arm. He put his last name on his arm?! 😂 what a geek
This actually happened to me once. My one year playing organized baseball at any level (HS freshman team). I was the last guy off the bench because I never learned how to hit. Our coach sent me into our last game as a pinch hitter because we had a comfortable lead late. I drew a walk but was called out because--of all things--Coach forgot to let the umpires know I was entering the game. I was called out for my coach's blunder. GRRRRR!!!😡 (I never played organized baseball again, not because of our coach's screw-up, but because I learned some other activities I enjoyed doing a lot more, like keeping stats for the baseball team.)
Sums up the jays season so far.
The transition to your sponsor at the end was perfect
I've been waiting for this breakdown.
Schneider must've been in the clubhouse taking a huge dump when Walker went out to visit Manoah.
It's tough being a fan of an AL east team, especially the jays

@wine bartender they can when they're barely 1/4th of the way through the season. It's gonna take a lot of work to make this up but they started 24-16 before this slide. And they played one of the toughest schedules in the league.

What would the bench coach do? If you see Schneider go out there you’re just gonna assume he’s pulling Manoah. Not like Schneider doesn’t pull guys at weird ass times anyway…
Jomboy absolutely loved making this video lol. Anything negative involving the blue jays and his mouth is WATERING.
I heard he spends all his UA-cam money on Yankees players farts in bags so he can huff them like a drug. I guess it's surprisingly expensive.

Jomboy❤ y’all make MLB and sports better 😊
Your transitions into ad reads are unmatched.
I mean the manager really screwed up, but props to him for not losing his temper. It’s kinda crazy that he had more accountability than today’s umps
I... kinda think they wanted to get Manoah out of there with a quality start so that he can start to build his confidence back up, and they saw that he was starting to leave the ball over the plate, so Schneider pretended it was just a big oopsies. Call me conspiratorial, but I think that was a sneaky play by Schneider. Though it was another loss, there is a lot of season left, and it was great to see Manoah getting a little more control over the ball, even if he was a touch shaky here and there.
Someone else had suggested the same thing! For any other pitcher, i might say they just got caught snoozing! They made a mistake. but this Monoah guy is such a head case, that i think this makes more sense!
This was actually my first thought.
Late to the party but the “oh fuck fuck fuck” by Schneider after getting reminded by the ump seemed pretty legit to me. That or he’s a damn good on-the-spot actor. Occam’s razor suggests the former but I guess we’ll never know.

@@chrissamson9852 oh same record as the struggling Mets who are in second tho
They have played awful recently, they were a Top 5 up until about a week or two ago. They have been bad with runners on base, can't get those clutch hits. Also feel like their power is down this year. We will see if they correct the holes in their roster moving forward and make another run, or if they flail and hover around mediocrity and miss the playoffs. They have had a tough schedule this month, but no excuse.
If thats not enough to count as checking your swing, what is?
You can pause it at 1:51 his whole bat is across the front of the plate. That's a swing. (Just have the video on pause and click the 1:51 link).

some of those lip reads were comedy gold
Adam Frazier is surprisingly clutch in mlb the show 23!
It's going to take a season or two for the players and coaches to shake off their slow-assed, game-delaying habits. I love the new rules.
Same. I grew up playing and watching baseball, but it's degraded into something about as exciting as watching a chess match in the last few decades.
The rule enforced here is not new, though. For as long as I can remember, which dates back to the 1970's, a pitcher was required to leave the game if he received two visits from his manager or coaching staff in the same inning. This has been common knowledge for so long that it shocks me that the Blue Jays manager would have forgotten this.
The You go that way scene is awesome in slow-motion
3:15 Jomboy do you have some deaf person doing the lip reading for you or what? Always spot on LOL
I like the limited mound visits to speed up the game but I think you should be allowed two visits in an inning if its still the starting pitcher. Once the guys from the pen come in then it should be just a single visit.
This rule isn’t from the “speed up the game” rules. It’s been around for ages. Was basically the only mound visit limit for a long time
Nope. All the pitching changes already lead to 5 minutes of commercial breaks each time, F that. Just curious, but why it would matter if it was the starting pitcher that would make multiple visits more reasonable?
@@kevinmach730 I thought they limited the number of mound visits recently to speed up the game? I did not realize the rule was always only one per inning unless you removed the pitcher. So my logic makes no sense! 😛
@@rwmorey71 LOL, it's not your fault, some of the rules don't seem to make much sense to begin with. That said, I love the new pace of the game with the pitch clock, but all pitching changes are like watching all the intention. It drives me a little batty (pardon the pun) watching 5 minutes of annoying commecerials when the starting bringing in a pitcher just to throw to one guy.

Was there ever a Jomboy ad break where he became the baseball?
Ironic. I remember saying "this manager is awful" when he left Manoah in way too LONG against the Yankees in his previous start.
As an Orioles fan, the Blue Jays should keep John Schneider. He’s doing a great job in Toronto
Manoah started chirping the Orioles like a idiot and I think Schneider went out to calm him down and forgot about the previous mound visit
He really needs to get his head on straight. I understand the compete level, he’s an intense guy and doesn’t take shit from anyone but we’re not even at game 50 yet and he’s chirping like that when pitching pretty terribly.
Guess a 3rd place cy young finish is enough for him to feel like top dog.
@@bdbdkdfotbrveiw I’m a jays fan and I don’t really like manoah because of this
The only thing in the rules about a checked swing is: "A STRIKE is a legal pitch when so called by the umpire, which: (a) Is struck at by the batter and is missed." (Definitions, P. 152 MLB rulebook) It's purely a judgement call, with the exact criteria determined by individual umpires. If he thought it was a strike, it's a strike.

Manoah has been very up-and-down this year, and mayza has been a very solid reliever. Frazier thinking to himself: "You go that way"
The manager knew what he was doing. He didn't want to hurt the pitchers fragile ego so he played dumb and figured out a way to take him out of the game by making it look like a mistake.
I think a lot of people don't really get this. He gave up a single, he hit a batter. I'm all for letting the pitcher correct their own mistakes but he made up his mind and didn't wanna hurt his feelings. Manoah is a baby.
