To be fair, baseball didn't really have a postseason until 1969. So that 40-year stretch is applicable to almost every team not named the Yankees, Dodgers, Giants, etc. Postseason streaks should really only be measured from 1969 onward.

They do have some good young talent in their farm debuting sometime next year. I think people are crazy about this is bc the Wsox have never been historically terrible in their franchise history despite being a .500/underdog franchise (founded in 1888). Also, JR was willing to pay Zach Wheeler to 5 year 125m. Besides that you’re right with everything else with JR and the others.
2:45 The "imaginary pickoff" was a botched appeal play. Duran missed first before he reached third on an error, but an appeal play has to be made before the next play or pitch. Knowing that, Duran attempts to steal home on the appeal play attempt, because if he scores before the first baseman gets the throw, the "next play" after him missing first base would be him stealing home, which nullifies Chicago's window of opportunity to make the appeal play. Of course it ended up being a moot point since the White Sox botched the appeal attempt too, but it wasn't a stupid play, just awful execution. 😂
As a Yankee fan, I'm glad I've never dealt with anything like this. And also I'm embarrassed by the Yankee fans who say the Yankees are run by an incompetent front office and have an owner who doesn't care. If you want to see incompetence, look at the White Sox and if you want to see lack of caring, gaze towards Oakland.
At least, the Yankees are willing to spend money for great players. The White Sox owner is cheap and doesn't want to sign top talent. I'm still upset we lost Rodon, but hope he does well with your team.
I feel bad for the White Sox. Like, they're 10th fiddle in Chicago, and it's not even close. Even when the Cubs are bad and the White Sox are good, nobody cares about the White Sox.
I remember there was an old Without a Trace episode and the FBI were looking for a guy in Witness Protection that was originally from Chicago. They were able to find the guy because he coached a little league team called the White Sox. The agents that were sports fans acknowledged it could've been a coincidence if he named the team the Cubs but only someone from Chicago would go with the White Sox.
And that’s why Chicago has had the highest exodus rate of all middle class families when speaking of all major cities. Not to mention highest departures of in state graduates. Get real bro. The city is terrible, has been terrible, and will only get worse. Because of people like you. Once again. We had the best team in playoff history. Could start our bottom three against your best in 16’ and still sweep you
Coming into the season, there was no reason to be hyped up as a Sox fan.... The upper management didn’t do any major moves only to sign a bunch of Triple-A players, and this is the result we get… Seriously, Maldonado!?! I’m sorry, he absolutely sux!!! I knew we were going to be bad, but this is downright pathetic.. What’s worse is that we can’t even get better than 10th pick for next year’s mlb draft 🤦🏻♂️
People need to get over the dream that Jerry is gonna sell the team. He'd get hammered on capital gains taxes, and he's already stated that his kids should sell the team when he's gone. They will, and the new ownership will either demand / get a new taxpayer-financed stadium or they'll relocate. This goes no other way, unfortunately.
You already got the high draft picks beginning this year and have to do what terrible teams like Washington did, by signing once highly sought after players who became castoffs. That'll get you a mediocre team but integrate these picks in 3 years with them and it'll start to turn. All of these superstar quality players are either underwhelming or outright busts. I started listing guys but there are simply too many. Even productive players like Moncada, Abreu, Grandal, Robert, Eloy over the past few years haven't matched their abilities. In 3 years you have to have draft luck and scouting the way Atlanta-Baltimore has.
You know that that "imaginary runner" throw was meant to be a live-ball appeal of a runner missing first base, so the runner took off for home in order to create a play at the plate, thereby nullifying the defensive team an appeal at first base, where the alleged missing of the base occurred, right?
The white Sox are one of the teams in a handful I wouldn’t mind see win. I just feel bad for them and their fans. I’m a Phillies fan so I know what consistent losing feels like
My favorite stat about the White Sox this is season is the Reds scored more runs in the 3 games series @ Chicago than the Sox did @ home to that point in the season.
The whitesox just beat my team twice and they have the most exciting power hitter in the league(Robert). Seriously watch the home run derby he was hitting 122 mph
Hey; you beat the Cardinals at Busch. You took 2 out of 3 against us 😂 It’s also funny because Crochet, Fedde, and Thorpe are great pitchers, and they have a few great prospects too.
You know whats interesting, the Detroit Tigers (my team) hired a new announcer start this season and he is knowledgable but kinda rubs me the wrong way because he seems to have no respect for the tigers greats that are in the booth with him and I did a little digging and hes a white sox fan that was in Chicago's booth for a bit a year ago....he took more money to be in detroit...Id much rather have a delusional dude who loves his team than a guy just phoning it in every night
It wasn't a pick off move. The runner on third hadn't touched first base and they were going to touch first and challenge but the pitcher couldn't even throw to first base without missing.

As a fan, there’s something endearing about a REALLY bad team. As in, when they get SO bad, it’s almost as fun as a good team.
Anyone who hates the Cubs that much can't be a bad guy.
These are the pistons of the mlb
Or the pre-2022 Kings
Best team in playoff history. Yea. You’re real smart
The pickoff attempt to an empty first base 😂😂
Could start our bottom three against your best in 16’ and still sweep you
Sad shit truly
Go watch 2021… plenty of Sox fans when they’re good
They didn't pick off to first. They were appealing to first base because a runner that was on third had missed the base.
Me who's a Tigers fan thanking the Sox who is last place in the AL instead of our god forsaken team and I can say "At least we're not in last place!"
The cubs just had a 2 game series against this team and made the white sox look like a playoff team LOL
Pathetic
2:45 that was an appeals attempt on the previous play. The runner didn’t touch first. The Sox still messed it up though.
The Wsox relocating is a 1% chance of happening.
We have the best commentators.
In fairness, Red Sox radio guy Will Fleming is almost as big a homer as Schriffen
:52..LOLOLOLOLOL!!!!
You know that that "imaginary runner" throw was meant to be a live-ball appeal of a runner missing first base, so the runner took off for home in order to create a play at the plate, thereby nullifying the defensive team an appeal at first base, where the alleged missing of the base occurred, right?
It feels like once your team has a bad record, their fan base wants the owner to sell.
The Angels just watched this video and Atre Moreno said: "Hold my beer".
Hawk Harrelson: Jesus this guy is a worse homer than me
The white Sox are actually going to break the record for worst season of all time
The “throw in the damn towel” clip was genius.
The White Sox announcer is just straight out bad.
the white sox is when u play mlb the show on legend for your first time playing the game
I don’t know, my Mets are pretty fruckin’ miserable rn
Waaah waaah, yall got 10 more wins than the sox.
And a owner who will spend money even if it’s not wisely
Try being an angels fan at least yall sometimes make the playoffs
😘from a Phillies fan
Yes but LOLMETS is eternal.
Every/any time you bring up the 2020 World Series, I can feel the shade. . We took him g, “that’s just the way it is. Things will never be the same.”
Thank you for calling me Wonderful Italk
I love the white sox announcer
Hey; you beat the Cardinals at Busch. You took 2 out of 3 against us 😂
It’s also funny because Crochet, Fedde, and Thorpe are great pitchers, and they have a few great prospects too.
You make very, very good videos. Thank you for posting. Please keep sharing.
I'm sure the A's are loving this; the Sox have become the new doormat laughing stock of Baseball.
It wasn't a pick off move. The runner on third hadn't touched first base and they were going to touch first and challenge but the pitcher couldn't even throw to first base without missing.
Throw the dam towel. Lol best line
Love that announcer, gotta be positive fr
It truly is a miserable experience. Born and raised into it though, I’ll never root for another team
I’m so excited to see them next Saturday. Witness this joke of a professional organization
