@@jrawk4140 Seen a few hundred shows shot on a phone. The sound of this show was that of a high school band learning to play their instruments in front of people and a sound guy who didn't read the manual for the mixer. It is, again, absolutely awful.
@kennethosburn2962 I've played hundreds of shows over 30 years, where the "sound guy" did just fine, equipment performed just fine and the recording on any phone over those many years have, despite better tech/mics in them, continue to not match what you're hearing in person...it's the phone recording. If you don't know how crappy most mics are on phone's, even at today's standards, then you simply haven't had the experience to compare the sound over the years with recording live shows with a phone...btw, where you stand while recording on a phone has major implications on the sound you capture also, it will pick up a little or a lot of something and totally change with positioning around speaker placement and other obstacles. Phone's are just terrible at picking up live music in real time, ask any audio engineer. The only instance you can blame on a sound engineer is a direct line recording or simply not knowing the room or area they're working with. A cohesive, consistant phone recording is a lucky capture, practically impossible. With that said, maybe they do suck, but you can in no way tell for sure it's them or the sound engineer from a phone recording.
and they are early in the day, and if you've played lots of shows as one of the opening bands, let's face it, if you even have a sound guy, they either don't know your sound, or they literally don't give a fuck @@jrawk4140
