    Dear Dr,Mc Fadden what kind of gum-colored material, which is not shiny, do you use in your final models of bridges on implants? And what is the brand of screws that do not loosen easily that you mention. Thank you so much

    • @davidmcfadden878
      @davidmcfadden878 Рік тому +1

      The "screws that don't loosen" are specific to the implant company. The ones to which I refer are made by Thommen Medical (implants). They are actually "engineered" to elongate at the proper torque. That elongation and the very stable connection between the implant and the abutment are what minimize screw loosening.

Most popular brands in the USA are Straumann/ Neodent, Nobel Biocare, Astra (Zimmer), Biohorizons, Hiossen, Megagen, Implant Direct (mostly clones of other systems), Thommen, MIS off the top of my head.

    I have multiple missing and damaged teeth that have to be dealt with in some way. I am a retired 69-year old male. I live about 290 miles away in San Angelo, Tx. You can't find much of anything in the way of dental care where I live except the most conventional outdated stuff. This is why I travel out-of-town for some dental care. Fairly recently I had some dental treatment done at Aspire Dental in Austin, Tx (203 miles from home) beginning 5 1/2 weeks ago. Sadly there were problems with outcomes of the treatment I received there. I had #18 extracted. That tooth was turning sideways and it was believed that infected roots were damaging bone tissue in the area. A bone graft was installed at the extraction site. A mini implant was installed @ #19. That is one of multiple missing teeth I have had to deal with. Almost overnight hard rocky material formed around the perimeter of the extraction site and mainly on the tongue side of the extraction site. It was causing pain. However there was no significant pain @ #19. On Monday, April 4th I returned to the same dentist In Austin. A new X-Ray of #19 convinced the dentist that the mini implant @ #19 was going to fail because the bone tissue was separating from the implant. The hard rocky material @#18 was found to be bone fragments . That was removed and it's eliminating most of the pain at the former extraction /bone graft site. I would still be using that dentist but treatment outcomes are now a major issue. So I would rather not use him again.
    Other missing teeth I have include #4, #5, and #31. Damaged teeth which are not causing significant pain include #7 and #12. #7 had a crown sheer off at the gum line taking a portion of the real tooth with it. #12 had an old crown with attached post come out. Do you think you can help me with these problems?

    I love your third case in your smile gallery. The finished Zarconium is close to the size and A very similar incisal edge as my original teeth , and where i hope to get back to in time..
    My prosthodontist had to retire because of health issues. I am in temporary over-dentures that I keep on with denture adhesive. I still have my real teeth (ground down ) underneath. In the future I think the dental bridges would be my direction but I'm not ready for that . And in my case I could go from the overdentures to the dental bridges.
    For now I would likea to replace the temporaries with something that doesn't stain.
    Im not wanting underwork done on my real teeth at this point . I would be satisfied if i could get somthing white ,a simular copy of what I have . , im sure you would improve them Esthetically...that would be nice knowing how artistic you are.but still I could be happy if you only made a copy . My occlusion is good . Can you quote a price range . I would even overnight them To you if you have one of those machines that make exact copies except better material that want stain. . im caring for my mother rt now so im not sure when I could get to see you . Can the bridges be put in with mini implants? I had 2 bridges put in 8 yrs ago with mini implants and they are fine. 3 teeth on one side with 4 mini implants and 2 teeth with 3 mini implants on the other side. Last week I was flossing my teeth and one of my teeth that was root canaled just fell out another crown can not be put on the root needs to be pulled. Most of my other remaining teeth have crowns and the ones that don't have crowns have a lot of chips out of them. I have all of my bottom teeth and 6 of my upper teeth remaining they are not loose but extremely sensitive and hurt all the time. My molars have crowns and have had for 15 yrs my gums have receded around all of them and the metal is showing and they are all different colors. I want bridges place directly on my gums like the ones I have already. I have had 2 partials but could not wear them because of my gag reflex. The Dentist that put in the two bridges retired and I can't find anyone here to do what I want done they just talk about the all on 4 and I don't want those. I don't want any artificial gums or plates. If extra mini implants are used would this be feasible?
