I think the concept is very funny (and obviously lucratively genius) but it really is kinda a drag without any cool down. It’s like when someone grabs on to a joke and keeps it going waaaaayyy too long, that’s what the bit spammers remind me of. It’s funny the first time or two, but after that it was lame. Can’t complain with the money tho lmao, guess some folks just have too much money on their hands

The Nestroid escape sequence was so stressful to watch. Ryu is a sociopath.
Ryu just getting a second mortgage to ruin Oats is peak kek.
I'm glad that they eventually backed off somewhat from just stunlocking the gameplay and started trying to be 'strategic' with the switches lol
As crazy as this is to watch. I think it's very lucrative for Oats. I'm good with the mess. LOL

Be cool to have a randomizer that incorporates more rooms like maybe the hyper Metroid rooms.

What you should do is 4 times super metroid randomized!
Or 4 times normal super Metroid. Would be less crazy but maybe still confusing.
I agree, if its the same game his difficulty of managing & changing his thoughts to accommodate the different control schemes will diminish & it will ultimately benefit him as he’ll just have to focus on remembering 4 different games/seeds (if he decides in rando’s in the future).

No need of fancy tricks. But the need to be able to remember 4 routings.
And, random switch of course ^^
Just need a thing for the viewer to know which seed he is on.
It would even be better if the switch could know the room and do an extra swicth each time two seeds are on the same room 😂
So, the various seeds would kind sync from time to time.
Another mode could be two versions where you can switch from one room to its tween in another seed and you would be forced to do this, because items would be distributed across the two seeds. It could even be combined with one seed being the mirrored metroid game.
And tge randomizer would take into account that you can switch between both worlds.
An enhanced version would add specific point to switch universes and those could also warp you to any such portal ^^

at 49:25 when it switches from Fusion to Super, I've never noticed how the music took certain cues from the previous games! Or maybe it's just a coincidence?
I had no idea you could freeze the SA-X. That would make that part so much easier
ADAM clearly mentions you can do it. At least I thought it did.

I came to watch this guy play and it's really annoying how Ryu made it all about him. There should have been an option to pay for bits to lock the game from switching for 30 seconds or something.
I'm actually curious what percentage of the population actually found the bit spam funny after the first couple times. If I weren't able to watch the vod in 2x speed on UA-cam I'd have just stopped watching. I'd have definitely stopped watching if I'd caught this live. Oats said it a number of times that he suffered through it for the viewer experience. As a viewer, the experience during the bit spam was terrible and not fun at all.
If anything, make it a scaling cooldown. 100 bits applies a cooldown of 5 seconds. 200 = 4 seconds, 300 = 3s, 400 = 2s and 500 or more has a 1s cooldown.
That way, if people want to spamlock Oats they still can, but at least he's getting more than the cost of a nice dinner out of the ordeal.
