I’m so happy oats used the mega man x sprites again. I’m definitely biased & think it’s the best sprite :)
PS: the reason why X’s mouth is open in animations when he looks up is because X3’s sprites were used for reference which have X open his mouth whenever he does a vertical dash
I believe it's not only because of the dash but because that game had two weapons that shot vertically when charged, gravity well and ray splasher, and in said animations he also opened his mouth

Not gonna lie, the Mega Man sprite sucked me in.

All these map randos make me wonder, assuming every door has to link up (and allowing for room overlap between areas for convenience), I wonder what the smallest area the entire world can fit in is? Like if you wedged and squished all the rooms together as optimally as possible, could they all fit in 100x100 map tiles? 50x50?

Ok I guess either something changed compared to last year when I watched these VODs, or I saw people answer both publicly and then privately when they realized they messed up
@@Daniel_WR_Hart In older videos, the commands weren't hidden, so you could see the messages that start with things like "!a" or "!sa".
I'm sure there's no good reason why every objective needs it's own shutter, you should be able to have any number of the objectives from 1-20 be required and I particularly fancy bosses & minibosses as the new default option

Ok, so can someone PLEASE work on Metroidvania set in the mega man universe. Make your way around the map, fight bosses, unlock powers and suits...... could be awesome

Steak with an Air Fryer can be AMAZING, if it has a temperature probe anyway. Just season the steak an hour before. I love my Dreo Chefmaker smart air fryer.

Try Varia Randomizer or Maprando for super Metroid without randomizing. Maybe that works.
Ask Oats for this seed in particular, the sprite is your choosing

Be cool if it did the X armor thing. Speed would give you the boots varia the body, charge the arms, and gravity the head.
there's no code to change the suit other than picking up the suits. Someone would have to, very carefully, add the code to do that, and then make it make sense for the base sprites as well. Also, something like Xray - head, morph - body, charge - arms, and speed - boots would make WAY more sense. Varia and Gravity are entirely extra suits, not just pieces of the whole. It would still take very careful coding to implement, especially as there's no "if (sprite == "Megaman X") useNewSpriteCode() else useVanillaSpriteCode()" type thing you can easily do in 6502-ish assembly. Assembly is way harder than "Come up with idea, write functions to implement idea, profit", especially when you're just modifying what's already there.

Thanos's motive for the snap in the MCU is just something "they" pulled out of their asses. He wasn't all philosophical and noble, LMFAO. The amount of people who don't know this and actually argue about the merits of his MCU motive is staggering. The real comic book motive is that Thanos is a simp who was trying to impress a girl. Seriously. He thought if he erased half of all life in the universe, it would impress Lady Death. It didn't 😆😅🤣

"What else could he do?" It's a magic wish-granting glove, so I'm guessing literally *anything*? If anything, his plan was remarkably uncreative given the sheer scope of infinite possible ideas. It was just lazy writing and a stupid change to his character, Thanos was never a "well-intentioned extremist", that trope is like the opposite of what he is.
His character in the infinity war film was the first time it was written in an engaging way. “I want to fuck skeletor” is the most boring possible motivation of all time.
as an additional aside, the reason his plan was shit in terms of actually achieving his stated motivations is that he’s a little bit bonkers and he’s mostly motivated by the trauma of losing basically his entire species as opposed to actually wanting to bring peace to the universe. hope this helps
yeah, it makes zero sense at all. why is it considered laudable for someone with power, (in this case, effectively infinite power) to take the path of least resistance when that path is "kill 50% of everyone, everywhere, forever" oats said "is it stupid or efficient" it's stupid. it's beyond stupid! but fine, he can stop caring about Death and be some sad dad or whatever. only someone who actually believes in the lie of overpopulation would even begin to think such a plan wasn't just insane. also I'm pretty sure it didn't solve anything, so they're still trying to slam in that old thanos plot but make it morally relativistic, which: if any plan requires sacrificing 50% of everyone, it's a terrible plan. the only way it could be a worse plan is if it sacrificed even more
