Yea the matchmaking at tier 5 has been rough. It’s either players 2k over you, unfair AI, or teammates who ditch you that make the matches more frustrating. You’ll see a little of that in my next f2p battle log
I wish we could get more "flavor" mechs and weapons (Flavor mechs/weapons are things that aren't meta but when you or an ai uses them it adds color to the battlefield. Examples are pulse canons and brickhouse) I don't like how almost everything is useless after a certain level or so dangerous you will die instantly nothing in between
Yea the way the grade system is now, it limits what you will see at each level and at the top, it’s the same handful you will see long term. Gets quite boring imo…

The best weapon in tier 4 is missle rack 8 since it is a weapon that does tons of damage and will be useful until your mechs have 24 or more energy capacity and im really grateful i earned it in the old progress path for only 310.000 credits! It was worth saving for

my main account is from before the gear hub system and i have disk 8's and 12 energy slingshot as well as stalker, shadow, ares, arachnos, guardian ect. so this very much a rough guide for me not so much an exact example of what i should get
So, with those ads in shgop, by doing every single task, every 5th day you get 400 a-coins (there is a strange thing with task overflow, that brakes this cycle, and unfortunately i can't get if it would prolong it or shorten it. Basically on the fith cycle you would be left with 29 tasks out of 30. 5th day from the first cycle can be stretched for 3 days)So yeah. it makes 40+ days to get epic grade mech that costs roughly 4k. And that is without a-coins from daily crate, battle/victory crates, tournaments, some events, and vaults/vault blitz. If take them all in consideration that may chop the aquisition time to 30+ days aka roughly a month
Yo Scape. Do the devs updated how you would get recources? Cuz im seeing millions of credits and thousands of acoins for someone at 40,000 xp. Or thats just you spending money?
I am 100% free to play (never spent a cent) and have saved over 31k A coins and 4.5m credits. All you need to do is the daily tasks, watch adverts, any events where the resources are worth it and collect the fortune keys to get 400 A coins every 3 weeks. It’s easy to do. Tourney significantly speeds things up if you are prepared to grind. The reason I saved so much is because there is nothing me worth using the resources on until the gear hub comes in. So I am saving for that.
@@Fazbearingtonthe3rd my squad is at 10893. I could upgrade it very slightly, but it’s not worth the resources as I need to replace a Mech and weapon. My Redox although maxed is not worth the slot.

No keep them in! They are great mechs to have. Depending on their rank though, you may have to decide if you want to focus on them now for overall use or focus on other items to help you move through the gear hub.
@@scape211 I felt the full power of a maxed 32 energy panther(!) using maxed dual disc launcher 16s(!). My highest energy mech is 16 energy and I am still in gear hub tier III(!) with 3 stars left to go.
@@Halberds8122 Oh did you use someone elses account to test a max panther or is yours maxed but everything else is at 16? I know for some they kinda gotta go backwards in the gear hub and its a pain.

Not sure but the free items are pretty much just tier 1 and 2 items. So once you get past those, you won’t have to worry about. It’s really just helpful for saving a few credits super early game.
Tier 4 is actually the only one I haven’t completed yet…and I’m at 23/24 stars XD if I haven’t ranked up EM 6 by the time it drops, I’m just gonna buy Longarm 12 and that’ll unlock everything XD
Just like you said you've taken the mr8, which is good considering you will get zephyr almost immediately after reaching tier 5. I am waiting to try this on my main account after it is added.
Problem is. F2P cant just grind that much cash in a couple weeks. Tourneys are hard, Vault blitz take forever to wait, and some players would just spend on things that wouldnt be helpfull.
depends on which EM rifle you get, but generally yes. Its a top tier weapon. I would stay away from the EM6 unless you can get it cheap or free. 7k acoins is too expensive for limited use imo. The EM8, 12, and 16 are best as they work all the way till end game.
i have alot of mechs and weapons scattered throughout the tiers. is that going to affect anything? im glad I have some weapons that are going to be acoin based after the gear hub
Depending on the items you have, the scattered items will affect how many stars you have in each tier and where you start. But scattered items will likely help in each tier so it’s fine.

I don't know why but I never seem to have the same options as you in my leveling path. I can't get stalker, I can't get voltaic RPGs... I could buy missile rack 8 for 310 000 credits thought... I'm really confused. Is there many progression paths?
@scape211 - Can you tell which tier the existing players will get ,is that according to the total number of stars we have now of all our weapons and mechs combined?
This will vary based on the players inventory. They just need to meet the star requirement for a tier to complete it. Many will likely have an inventory that gets them through multiple tiers once this drops. I would bet that if you have been playing for like a year, you will have most tiers unlocked instantly.
Do you have any idea of the rough price of the disc launcher 12 and the carbine 12 cost? I can see that the disc 8 is credits and I'm wondering if the disc 12 could be credits too.
Where is the gear hub? My account was FTP and all the mechs and gear like stalker and rail guns and jav 8 were locked behind a real money paywall. This is bs plarium is screwing over players.

all new accounts now should get the Stasis beam 8 derby. I dont know if it came out when the weapon was new, but new accounts start with the arachnos derby, then get the stasis beam 8 derby, then keep up with the rest of the derbys everyone else gets. At least all my new accounts have gotten it. If you've played a while though, you will likely be further along in the gear hub and it wont be an issue. The weapon itself is not good anyways.

Don’t rank up anything, keep buying just enough stuff to get to the next tier. Start upgrading once you get to 8 energy stuff and epic mechs
