Hello scape! Lost my main account lately so I made a new account so far the gear hub isn't too bad but honestly due to your comments over tier 5-8 I think might be reasonable because these mechs can be useful but I find it quiet punishing for f2p players like me. Hope Plarium finds a way to balance this out because they probably won't.

Arcs very strong. Later for 16 Energy Build you can put AT10 to the AT6 and have a long time of fun. Later two AT10 for 6 Star Mechs like Surge.
6:07 what? I've been playing FFA for a while, but I haven't seen many exploits. It doesn't feel that hard, either. (Except when some mech ambushes me from behind, but that should be fixed by paying attention both to the map and the field)
PS: Good video. I'm looking forward to the Tier 4 one, since my main account should start there. My plans are getting Stalker (Already got the MR8 and Tengu), both guided weapons (Javelin and hopefully Helix) and I might try the Gauss Rifle 6, since I've been wanting to use both Lancer and Shadow with many kinds of long ranged weapons (I can say they are fine with dual Javs 4 since both are rank 3 atm, but I'm not confident in running one longarm 8, so I'll check their performance later down the line.)
When I mentioned FFA exploits in that mode, I meant a way for older players to exploit it and make it easier for them while making it harder for newer players to beat them. They essentially found a way to tank thats not technically cheating, but it ruins the early game experience for most players. Depending on your rank/SP, you may not experience it.
FFA is also arguably tougher than other game modes given how chaotic it can be. You can do fine with good awareness, but for some its much harder than the other game modes. So I wanted to prepare people of those concerns at least. If youve been playing for a bit and can do ffa already, then you dont need to worry about it.

@@elpatoempatado2404 Yea you might be in a spot where less tanking hits you. I think it is the worst below 2k. But I am not entirely sure. I haven't played it a ton yet.

Ok, reinforcing Scape211's point on Arc Torrent Ares; This thing is a MONSTER. I can singlehandedly go through a 5v5 match and EASILY get 15 kills if I play conservatively and try to not get over extended. Even as far as my current PB (personal best) of 22 KILLS and 3 Assists in 2 rounds of 5v5 Deathmatch. And if I play SUPER aggressive, I can get around 8 kills in the brief period of time my Ares survives for. Trust me, Arc Ares will TORMENT the enemy team, pun intended.
i went for frag canons and skipped on the shotgun 8 and arc 6, the balance change changed a bit
If a player currently in Tier 3 can he buy (from the shop) a mech/weapon from higher tier and use it immediately? Or he can buy but can't use it until he reach that mech/weapon tier? Please answer. Thanks

tier 6 will take a long time. I almost have everything in tier 4 so that one is close, but the tiers after that are very acoin heavy so it will likely be months before they can realistically happen in a F2P sense.

Chaingun seems to be a little below miniguns as it stands so I dont think it will be common in meta. However, it has a different feel than miniguns so people may prefer it especially as they climb tiers.
@@scape211 I think they will be more for ffa and 2v2s where less reload time is preferred and you have a better chance at surviving of you don't have to wait to deal dmg
@@memeboi3448 that could be true. the benefit of this weapon though is the range it can hit for optimal damage and the potential damage output at top end. So smaller maps may not be its best area to shine. But tbh, I havent played with it enough to really know. I tested it some, but didnt really have time to sit with it long term.

They upped the price of Guardian.He was 975 and that was already a challenge. Said person who farmed and spent 8k a-coins on carbines eight and runs them on Loki

Hi. As a beginner is it wise to purchase legendary pilot ? Like Myna on Ares with Arc torrent 6? Will this worsen matchmaking?
Getting legendary pilots early can be nice as they will stay with you unlike items in your inventory like Ares and Arc6. Those weapons will likely see less play as you move up tiers, but a legendary pilot will stay in. As for match making, I am not entirely sure as this mostly depends on various factors (SP, win rate, win streak, etc). I dont think pilots are valued too high in SP points though so I think you are safe to get it if you wish.

I didn't know they increased guardians price from 975 to 1125 acoins, and I don't remember that we needed 625 acoins to unlock the last slot or has it also been increased. Anyway great vid, the next few tiers are the ones that are gonna be most tricky. Also I can't wait for this feature to come to all accounts.
Yea just about everything increased in price a bit with this new feature. It is somewhat nice as the prices remain pretty consistent for all depending on whether the item is acoins or credits (like for rare mechs its either 1125 acoins or 112,500 credits), but they are all more costly. I assume they had to balance it this way since we can get more resources with ads now.
And I agree - the last few tiers (5-8 specifically) are going to be tough. Tier 4 hasnt been too bad, but after that, my progress will be very slow....
Honestly with how op gaurdian is a little over 1k a-coins is pretty good

I really ganna save acoins for stalker but i suprised longarm 12 is just 150 acoins but what do you think should i save my acoins for stalker or orion
stalker is great for tier 4. Orion is arguably a better mech overall, but comes later in the gear hub. So I would get stalker for tier 4. Hes one of the better items of tier 4.

Tbh i do hope Redox and Surge will cost a bit less A-coins when the GH update drops cuz right now they're stupidly expansieve.
Like if some mechs/weapons go up in A-coin price with the GH update and the overpriced mechs go down in price they'll balance eachother out.

currently at tier 3, 5k exp with 90/94 winrate.
manage to buy arc6 yesterday now my winrate 94/120..start matching with player over 40k exp,p2w with carbine8 n emf6..
also ai paragon 20energy with longarm12+8,shotgun with lvl 5pilot n implant..i bet today i will start see shadow with arch6 with lvl 5pilot n implant
honestlty this game can be good if they not punish active player like me..i dont mind fighting p2w who support this game..but fighting this type of ai with perfect aim really turn me off
Yes the game starts to push harder with high tier enemies regularly after you get to a certain win rate and win streak it seems. There are of course other factors, but this seems to be part of the skill-based match making they claim to have.

@@archcorax2362 yea if they buy stuff like the other player in the onyx did, the match making system has difficulty in connecting the 2 I think.
I noticed on your gear hub helix6 launchers cost A coins along with gauss rifles while on my account they want real money. Also this tier system is it in place on mobile?
Do you see the helix 6 on the gear hub or do you not have it at all yet? If you dont have it, anything else will likely be for real money till it opens up to everyone.
Also the tier system is in place for all devices, but only currently available by chance for new accounts. Not everyone has it. Its still in a/b testing phases.

I haven’t really. A case could be made to upgrade like paragon, puma, or slingshot one star but unless you are spending some, it could slow you down more than desired.

I do have a question concerning ares VS juggernaut. I would like to know if I should just ditch the jug? He’s my most upgraded mech atm and I do like his ability to save me from the javelin spam. But I’m wondering if he is a mech I should continue to put resources in? I’m right in this tier I feel like him being a green boy is going to lead me to being able to upgrade him far easier then ares or any of the other high tier boys but on the other he seems pretty done for by just rocket mortar 8
What level is he at now? If he is just at 2 stars, then I would suggest getting Ares anyways. Ares isnt too expensive and will help you move through the stars needed for this tier. Plus, you may find you like him better. And as far as upgrade cost goes, Juggy and Ares are both medium mechs so the pricing should scale the same reguardless of their grade.

It’s completely fine to sit in a tier a little longer if you want to save resources or go for a specific goal. Do you have something specific you want to get in tier 3 or as soon as you get to tier 4? I also think you’ll want the arc6 and missile rack 6 on tier 3 if you haven’t gotten them. Jav6 is also a pretty solid one to get as well.
@@scape211yeah i was thinking i don't need the javs coz i can send my referral and get the cryojav. i am thinking if i should save my resources and eventually star up guardian and unlock the pulse cannons ,so when i reach the tier4 i can immediately purchase stalker vrpg and all the other goodies. but i have a problem, in almost all matches i face players with bought stuff ,even worse they were like minimum 500 sp above me and the bots are melting everyone with embers and vrpgs so should i tier up?so whats your advice other than buying stuff?
@@scape211 and i wanted to ask ,what happened to Rocket mortars .I had an account before and i remember them being too op but now all has settled .is it because of the new anti camper weapons like disrupters and disks plus the new scout eclipse who can sneak up on anyone?what do you think is it still worth it?if yes up to which tier ?and what mech combinations to use with it?
@@user-gn9ne8bo3x Its a mixture. yes anti-camping tools have changed things, but also other camper builds like helix have started to replace mortars since it provides a similar function, but also has a faster cycle time. Plus most people try to have hangars that provide them the most flexibility possible. Sniper builds, disc launchers, etc are typically more flexible for general play.
I also think overall availability has changed things. Having access to far more weapons and mechs in the gear hub has allowed more variety in hangars. Mortars are still good, just considered lesser in the meta in some ways

In general, you want to upgrade stuff that will stay with you. I actually plan to talk about this more in my next gear hub video as most items in tier 1-3 are not necessary to upgrade. You can do a little depending on your needs. For example, puma and slingshot are ok to upgrade one rank on each if you feel the need, but it can slow down your overall progress if you are F2P. So you will need to weigh those options. I'll also say that Ares could be one you star up once and Guardian has potential to go even further if you want him to stay in your hangar.
For me, I'm trying to keep it as steady as I can while remaining competitive. Thats going to get harder as I move forward.

The tiers don’t show up yet for everyone. Mainly just a chance for new accounts.

Ark 6 and Aries is the best Combo for me shotgun 8 and Guardian Is a next one that is good. I just unlocked Tear 4 what do you think about the Voltage RPG
the VRPG8 is actually decent in that tier. Its not going to be something you keep long term, but its good for Tier 4.

eh i suppose. But given that you can get a rare or epic one fairly easy in the shop, its reasonable to get in the expectation that you will get those implants later. Heck you can even get the legendary one in the shop still i think. So if you want to go that route, you definitely can.
You get the mortar only if you don't want to let other players have fun fighting you
@@memeboi3448 somewhat true. Sometimes there are mechs or weapons you cant easily engage so mortars can help take them out from afar. But it is a crutch you dont want to lean on too much.

@@scape211 I was waiting for that implant for a long time until yesterday,I found an epic one in the shop,and to my surprise,the legendary is available today.and I was soooo bummed by seeing that eocket mortor 8 still is very bad with it,maybe the legendary could have made it better.

the only way to get it right now is to start a new account and hope you get it. Not all new accounts do, but they are the only ones with a chance of getting it for now.

I'd really hate to be a new player in this game the way it's going, they're gonna hear how things were and probably be choked, this just seems like it's trying to suck the most res and $ outta players possible. They so could have just put the new things into the current xp ladder, this change was so unnecessary the way plarium is doing it anyways
Well I havent felt a need to spend on this new account yet so its not too bad. I do feel my progress will slow down after tier 4 as the acoin needs get heavier though.

Real nice but how bout showing us like htf you do 5 games with 3 tier 2 Mechs. I've only got 3 tier Mechs in my screen an I'm not getting credit I've played 23 games an not credited for 1 game of the 5 so wtf it's in 2nd gearhub missions
Sorry when I made this video the GH missions where not a thing so it was not included. However, I have tried to do those missions too. To get credit for the 'play 5 battles using tier X mechs' you have to literally use each mech in the match. They cant just be in your hangar. I had the same issue as they have never done this in the past. My advice would be to use 1 or 2 of the mechs in question and then as the match is close to ending, ditch the mech and spawn in whatever other one(s) are needed to fulfill it.
