No, not on this truck. I am not a fan of the HD front end on the Cateyes. I may consider it on the 2001 Chevy RCSB that I am building on the channel.
I wonder if higher psi grease gun would help push grease past.
My Milwaukee grease gun puts out plenty of pressure. The top metal cap of the ball joint where the grease zert is at was literally bulging and bending outward from the pressure! Watch the installation videos to get a visual on what I am talking about.
Clean build 🔥🔥🔥💯
Thanks!
Do you think I will be rubbing on a 5/7 drop on an 98 Chevy my wheels size is 265/35/22
A 1998 is the OBS platform and not the NBS platform so they are a little different. I think that you will be ok, but I don’t know what offset your 22” wheels are and that makes a difference too.
How the ride quality?
@@Jgezy it rides great!
Did you have to weld anything or notch it?
Yes, I have a “Rear Installation” and “Front Installation” videos here on the channel. The Rear Installation video shows what came in the kit for that and how I installed it.
How much would it cost me to get this at a shop for my single cab chevy for a 4/6 drop
I am honestly not sure. I haven’t priced it since I do all my drops and lifts on my own.
1k minimum get one of your friends to help you with the flip kit cost a carne asada & a 12 pack lol 😂
If people are charging $1,000 plus to do this kit then that seems pretty high.
Very nice trk good job
Thank you
I want this kit bad but I don’t know if it’s 2WD or 4WD bro please lmk
This kit is for 2wd. You will have to see what they have available for your truck on their website. Here is a link.

What type of springs are you running?
This kit uses stock springs. The 4” drop is provided by the control arms.
Looking into doing a 5/7 on a 17 would u recommend ihc?
Yes I would, as long as you can get the camber adjusted out of the front driver side. Maybe the 5/7 kit comes with their camber correcting upper control arm. Otherwise, just get a set of camber keys that allow for more camber adjustment and you should be good. Everything else about the kit has been good.
Does the front hit on the top fender well on a dip ?
Not with this size wheel and tire on normal roads. It did really good. You would have to hit a very big bump for it to do something like that. Before I got the front 1” spacer right and it was down 5” in the front, then it would occasionally hit the inside upper fender on normal roads.
How about after you put the 1" spacer? Does it hit at the top of the fender?
No, not unless it was a very very harsh bump. Normal roads it never hit.
Cool thanks for the info 👍
@macielandsons no problem
What spring did you use
This kit uses stock springs. I have complete installation videos here on the channel.
Ihc didn’t include the 1’’ rubber spacer for me and I went with Ihc cause they pretty much said this kit will get rid of the Chevy lean! And it didn’t fix the lean for me
Did you order the 4/6 or 5/7 kit?
4/6 I also emailed them and they pretty much gave me a part number and told me to buy it at O’Reillys
@@Chuy-tu1bx mine looked like it came from O’ Riellys. They should compensate you somehow or buy a set and send them to you. That isn’t right to make you go out and buy it out right when the kit should come with it.
I had the same issue, IHC did not sent me the same rubber isolator which I did not like, so I ended up ordering a Belltech 1” coil spacer that mounts on top of the coil. I haven’t aligned my truck yet, let how my alignment goes. Good video!
@@Ureno1986 Thanks, and definitely let me know how your alignment goes.
nice truck
Thanks!
are you still able to tow with this drop?
If you wanted to tow with this drop then you would need to add some air helper bags. Especially if it was very heavy.
Needs a turbo 👍👍
Ya never know what may be in coming. At the ending of this video I hint as to what will be done in the next video…
@@whiplashtv2022 well my CTS-V has certainly benefited from your knowledge. TY.
@@UENVEYME2 Thank you sir! It really makes me happy to hear this from my viewers! I hope that my videos help a lot of people as the channel grows. That is what I am trying my best to do. Trying to put out good and detailed information the best that I can.
Super-charger????
I am definitely a fan of superchargers…

Chevy lean?
Yes, it is where the back passenger side sits higher than the back driver side.

Had to go through two sets of rear IHC shocks. Don’t recommend
Did they blow out or start leaking fluid?
@@whiplashtv2022 one of each occurred actually. First time they snapped and started leaking. Now, they bottom out. I just got some belltech shocks to replace
@@chinobeans2680 yeah if mine go out, then I will get some of the Belltech Street Performance shocks as well like I did up front.
@@whiplashtv2022 for sure. I’m running kind of a ghetto set up. I have the stock struts and 4” drop control arms. But it’s holding up pretty nicely so far.
Yeah I figured the stock front shocks would do ok, but I wanted something a little more firm.
