This is amazing on so many levels... A lady percussionist dressed in a fashionable red gown playing a very sophisticated concerto with utmost energy and precision, using both standard instruments and on a lot of... well, JUNK. I've never seen anything like this. Extraordinarily well done, hr-Sinfonieorchester/FRS, and kudos from Washington DC USA.
Thank you for Upload!!
Incredibly interesting concerto, thanks for the recording!
SO GOOD
Cool! I wonder what she chose for an encore.
...Special mention for the folks tidying up after the performance.
She sweeps the aisle!
🤣 To do that in time though...
Thank you for playing this music
Definitely the type of music for our generation that we can all relate!...😅
Wow that cadenza is so cool. I didn’t know the bottles could ring like that!
Awesome!
Unglaublich!!!! Bravo😀👍🙏
Wie geht sowas auswendig????😮🙈🤭
Klasse. Toll. Super.
Incredible peace... Am I the only one who hears 'the music' of Kalevi Aho shine through in this work?
👍👍👍
😊 ✨
❤ 🎵 🎶 🌼 🎶🎵 💜
Plastic bottle cadenza 😮 bravo impressionnant 😅
My daughter is a fan of the artist Duke Riley. He has taken everyday disposable plastic trash and made outstanding artwork out of it. Mayrhofer's composition is the musical equivalent of this. Vivi Vassileva's performance is extraordinary. hr-Sinfonieorchester is one of the best in terms of performances and the talent of its musicians.
Well, that was............uh....something. Adventurous, yes, I'm going with adventurous.😮
Ok, point made after listening to some excerpts from this nonmusic for a few minutes. We are all better people now. Let's move on to next piece, please.
Einfach großartig. Don’t waste the waste 😂
24:56 Wunderbar !
Impressive!
Etonnant, surprenant.
Veeeeery intresting.
Superbe
This may not seem like music to most of you, but it is art. Amazing performance.
@@tontondino927Not everything great "stays in the books", you don't understand the purpose of experimental music. It may seem useless and silly, but there is a meaning to it all.
@@tontondino927 la vieille musique doit disparaître
@@Alix777.
@@JorgeRuizDeArco Yes I have mental issues. But Chopin and Rachmaninov's music need to disappear asap.
Such is music! ❤❤❤
My bottles shrank from such a thing.
Fantastic!!!
I am a recycler but I never have tried to play music on it. No, I just carry it to the recycling centre. Maybe I am wrong in this? Maybe I should have tried to make some music out ot it before it goes to recycling centre? What I want to say is this, never ever have garbage had such a professional music support on its way to the recycling centre. Lucky garbage!
Echt eindrucksvoll!
I love your "one size fits all" reviews. They're so charmingly generic! You just change a few words - and there you are! Like this performance, it extolls the possibility of recycling!
Best wishes from Vermont ❄️
Can this still be called "music," or is "sound exploration" a more apt name for it?
I think a quite similar soundscape can be experienced by sitting at a terrace, sipping some nice drink, and listening to the sounds of the city.
She just play Mayrhofer: Recycling Concerto
Is that a campaign?
or just a performance
XD wth
I don't mind experimenting with alternative instruments for some fun sounds, but why does all modern music like this go so hard on dissonant and atonal sounds? Why can't we have more Alma Deutschers who make modern music sound good (symphony of the sirens)?
This said, mad props to the percussionist. Extremely skilled to manage to get good at playing so many different objects.
No offense, but is the world not big enough for both - the "Deutschers" and the others?
Also, this fun piece can hardly be said to "go hard on dissonant and atonal" (long passages are entirely within extended tonality, and a fairly conservative one at that - there are pieces a full hundred years old that could be its siblings. The jazzy bits are very reminiscent of Gershwin in fact, and where they go beyond his language, they'd still be at home in, say, a comedic spy movie of the 1950s or 1960s).
(I will say that I don't find the piece particularly deep. It's well-crafted, but it is also quite derivative and it overstays its welcome.)
I agree that the percussionist is crazy good. (I suspect many passages might be improvisatory, but even so...)
Why do we need more composers imitating styles that had masters composing in them for centuries? Imitations of Bach or Mozart or Beethoven or Brahms or Wagner are only ever going to sound like second-rate versions of those composers. I'm not saying everything needs to be atonal (and let's not forget even atonality is now over a century old), but everything certainly doesn't need to be pastiches either. There are far better modern composers than Alma Deutscher, both tonal and atonal: Thomas Ades, George Benjamin, Kaija Saariaho, John Adams, Sofia Gubaidulina, Jennifer Higdon...
Interesting but way too long.
Too boring without any joy in it 😑
When classical musicians try to be trendy ... and fail. 😞
Just because it fails you doesn't mean it fails for us all.
@@kaundachunguI'm obviously not 'intellectual' enough to appreciate it.
You don't need a higher form of intellect to get it maybe this piece just just doesn't do it for you. It's even a bit longer if you ask me. Lol
@@kaundachunguYes, about 40 minutes too long! =)
@@Gattobuono You don't get the concept of experimental music. It's very beautiful to experiment with different sounds and make something that may not be music, but still art.
I like music and circus and of course circus music: here I find too little music and too little circus and no circus music at all... but, nice try. 😂
Brilliantly put! This comment should be pinned😂
Quelle robe affreuse.
Oh, no...😔Please, I have always trusted this orchestra for quality performances...don't betray me now!🙏
Do you find the performance poor?
You don't understand experimental music.
@@Pupper626
"Experimental music" is an oxymoron.
I don't go to concerts for experiments, I go for music.
To be honest though, it's the, ahem, incessantly 'recycled' message behind this that particularly puts me off.
