I had the pleasure of meeting buck at least twice. Both so unexpected. Even got his autograph. He was a kind guy, i stubbed my toe walking with the boyscouts around the royals warning track before a game, was headed down to the royals training room bc it was bleeding, happen to meet buck on the way in the elevator, he ended up taking me and my dad down to the training room himself and stayed with me untill i was fixed up and headed back to our seats for the game
Bob Kendrick and many others have been pushing for Buck O'Neil to make the HOF and it FINALLY happened. It would have been more impactful if he was still alive but like they say better late than never.
Can someone explain to me why it took until 2022 for him to be inducted? I'm disappointed it took the voters this long to recognize the greatness of this man.
One of the biggest indictments of our beautiful game - Buck never got to see the day to see his rightful place in Cooperstown. Beyond an enormous shame.
Ridiculous that such a great player, a great coach and a great person never lived to see himself inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. Shame on the voters and those who run the Hall. No excuse whatsoever!
One of the greatest ambassadors for baseball...and for living life with love and appreciation

One of the greatest storytellers of all time.
One of the greatest ambassadors of baseball of all time. 💜⚾
If you listen to Buck talk, you knew he was a special man. I could listen forever.
A year later. God bless his soul. We need more men like him.
Met Mr. O’Neil at 18th and Vine when he was in his 90s. So humble and could tell a story. Such a gentleman
Buck’s charisma in the ken burns doc is just so infectious, baseball legend
It’s ridiculous it took this long. He should’ve gotten in while he was still around
Nice guy who told a lot of stories about people that were actually good enough to be in the hall of fame. That's Buck O'Neil for you.
Respect sir!
RIP great man!
Buck O'Neil's autobiography amazing
I wish I meet Buck 😢
Thank you Buck!!!
I met Buck at the 1993 All Star game in BLT. I was a timid 16 year old kid. He was awesome.

MLB the show legend
He wasn't inducted in HOF, missed by 1 vote, they did name an award after him but doesn't excuse the fact

He was arrogant and uppity with an attitude.A true minor leaguer.
One of my very few baseball regrets was not making a point of meeting this man. Catch up with you in the Cornfield, Buck. ⚾❤🤍💙⚾
