what an awesome man. im grateful to hear about this true history education. love for Jackie Robinson brought me here. life back then was completely different and im glad that some do not forget
My dad took me to a Kansas City Royals game when I was 14. We sat front row to the left of the royals dugout. During pregame, Buck came up to me, shook my hand, and gave me a signed KC monarchs hat. I should have put it in a case, but I wore that hat for years until it was a rag. I always figured that was the way an old ball player would've liked it.

I remember an interview with Buck when they were discussing pitching. He was asked about the slider and he said that they had it back in his day, but they didn't call it a slider. They called it a "nickel curve".
"Soul of Baseball" is all about Buck and one of my favorite books ever
He looks and sounds amazing for 86. What a fun interview.
Great to catch this interview! Hallelujah Buck 👊🏼and thanks for your courage & spirit.
Love Buck O'Neil. National Treasure. Miss him a lot here in KC.
Absolute legend. I could listen to Buck talk, tell stories, and educate us for days.
Always enjoy hearing Buck O’Neil’s interviews. His induction into the HOF is well deserved.
What a good guy, just calms your soul hearing him talk
Amen
I had the honor of meeting Mr. O’Neil years ago. What a kind gentleman and great ambassador for the game of baseball.

Thanks Buck O'Neal any relation to Shaquille or Jermaine? Just sayin...
If I was Mr. Letterman, I would not have let that man leave. Mr. O'Neil is worth much more than 8 minutes.
❤🎉🎉🎉 he’s a charming man. Interesting story.

Dave accidently said they didn't allow white players in MLB instead of black players. I wonder if anyone caught that.
Ah, I think quite a few people did. Buck was such a gentleman, he didn't point it out.
I caught it too. 😂
He looks like he could go a few innings right now...
Obviously one of the Donegal O'Neills.
Buck's WELL SPOKEN....
Bloody hell they only waited till he was 86 to get a shot. Hopefully things r different now .
