@@Wins_And_Losses but you are .. SRT powered is okay.. SRT is a trim .. which means it’s a package .. you get leather seats .. u get a SRT menu on your screen .. it’s the same 6.4L engine .. but an SRT is like 8-10 k more than a normal scat pack .
It's the same with Mustangs, man. I have a 2015 V6, its plenty for me. I pull up to a red light the other day, and a new Stang pulls up next to me, 5.0 badge on the side, pulls away when the light turns green and I can clearly hear its an EcoBoost (4 cylinder) haha

It is really dorky and was embarrassed for this doofus that rolled up in a 6 banger Challenger with hellcat badging at a cars n coffee meetup last year in Mesa AZ, so I know exactly what you mean and is really stupid when they do that. If it had it's powertrain swapped for the 6.2 supercharged hellcat mill, then it could technically qualify as one and don't see a problem with that

Ya. It feels a little sloppy on dodges part to just move body parts around and call it a new year. Now we will have everyone with older scat packs buying new hoods to look like 2019’s.
The badging is a no go. But hoods and other things are not upbadging. Because your car has hellcat wheels isn’t that the same thing. Some people might like the hellcat hood like many people like the hellcat wheels. As long as they dont badge it as a hellcat. And even dodge does it they call it waterfalling with there latest release.
I have a 2018 CHALLENGER RT 5.7L With the 6 Speed Manual trans. Only additional option it has is the super trak pack. So it’s bare bones what I need. Even the uconnect is a 7 inch and I love it and proud to have it coming from a Altima. It’s has a factory SRT hood.
Arthur Akopian I agree, I bought the Demon replicas for my RT because I like the color and style. I also plan on a new hood with a functional scope, because my ‘16 doesn’t have them.
Since I installed the Hellcat cold air intake on my Skaker, does that mean that I can call it a Hellcat😆
Upbadging logo is a no but wheels hood are not upbadging that my opinion. Good topic to bring up.

I have nothing but bee badges on my scat. It looks cooler than SRT and 392 badges in my opinion.
I put a intake and exhaust on a 1zz Corolla. Crower stage 2 cams, springs , valves. Wheels tires and coil overs. Did a two tone trueno paint job and after all that I NEVER used the trd badges I got. It just felt wrong to do so they are just wall art now✌🏽🔰
you did more to that corolla then toyota did for the camry/avalon TRD.... which is a shame those could have been cool but they just are watering down the TRD brand with that.

As for the hell cat hood, I don't see anything wrong with it because it's a better functioning hood. It rams in cool air and the scoops in the back extract hot air. At the same time, everyone don't want a bone stock car. I don't like up badging but I also don't want to come out of home depot and your car is parked beside mine...and I don't know what car to get into. Lol
agreed, a lot of V6 Mustang owners will put GT bumpers on their cars to get the more aggressive look with the fog lights. I'm cool with anything, body kits, wheels etc except fake up badging.
I say leave the stickers off. I get the idea behind it, but like you said, it looks great the way it is. At the end of the day though, it's all about what makes you happy.
I am going to switch the badges on my F150 ecoboost, going to switch the ecoboost out for a "TWIN TURBO" badge. It's not a lie and i think it would look cool but i wouldn't put a SVT Lightning emblem on there 😂
I saw a V6 Challenger with the fake HEMI badge on it just yesterday. You could tell it was a 6 just by looking at the front of the car and the start up sound. Some people just not happy with what they have and wanna look cool i guess.

I think you are correct in "over badging" 1st to your question about your emblem, put it on. Like make up a little goes a long way, one is fine. but ya bogus b.s. making your car appear to be something it isn't especially when its obvious to other owners that it isn't how you have it badged. If you see any WIDEBODY charger or challenger with that standard SRT badge and it’s not the SRT badge with the Hellcat logo, it’s it’s definitely an upbadge SCATPACK

@@Donzaloon exactly its powered by SRT. You can pretty much spec a 2021 scatpack to be exactly like a 2018 SRT, minues the leather so its understandable to argue that they are an SRT. But the simple fact is that it isn't, it's a RT trim wise, technically speaking.

It started with BMW/Mercedes owners putting M/AMG badges on the lower trimmed cars. People that do this the best I can tell just like the idea that it might fool some people into thinking their car is more expensive then it really is, which IMO is what draws a lot of BMW/Mercedes drivers to those brands in the first place, sadly those great cars even regular 335i's, or S550's etc are just status symbols to a lot of their owners.

If he bought a 392 Shaker Scat Pack Challenger then the 392 on the Shaker hood scoop is factory, so are the Scatpack bee logos on the fender. It seems like he may have put the SRT logo on the grill to replace the R/T badge? And you said he had Scat Pack wheels on his Scat Pack, well that only makes sense. I get it if he swapped out the R/T badge for an SRT badge that is kind of weird but you are really calling someone stupid for leaving their other factory badges on? At least he didn't re-badge the entire car and put hellcat badges all over it. Rims to me are also just a preference, I want to eventually put hellcat style rims on my R/T Shaker because I love the style way more than the regular R/T rims, but I won't be pretending I have a hellcat I will leave my R/T badges on

Ive seen a 09 challenger sxt with hellcat and 392 hemi badges.
I'd rather have a hellcat that looks like an SXT. I prefer debadging. I have a 2015 2500 cummins ram and I even sacrilegiously took off the Cummins badges. 😲
Ok hear me out, my dad got me a 2008 charger srt8 that had a bit of performance work done to it for my 16th birthday and I was super happy. But my dad knows nothing about cars and thought that the charger he bought me was a hellcat and it was missing the emblems. He decided to order new ones and put them on there. I just didn't have the heart to correct him so I just left them on the car. I guess in the end though there isn't any reason why you cant let others be as long as they are keeping to themselves.
P.S. he knows nothing about cars but he has a 2015 mustang gt and a 2018 camaro zl1

i switched out the scat pack bee ,with the old school super bee . took the 392 hemi off also.
thankz for the vid info because i ordering replacement badges for my project truck 2000 gmc sierra. the badges i have order are the newer Texas edition and Sierra badges. i wanted to get either the High Country / All Terrian badge because of the modifications for the build but i do not want to look like a joke. long story short I am going to stay with the new Sierra + Texas edition badges once they come in.

I bought my 2013 SXT Plus 18 months ago and personally I would never up badge it as putting R/T badges on would discredit the car. Now I am planning on buying the 2019 R/T with the Hellcat style hood with plans to swap to a Hellcat front nose but it will still say R/T in the grill. The reason for me is not because I want people to think it’s a Hellcat and we all know what is what when we see it but because it just looks meaner.

@@jrlee8368 strong disagree putting different body parts is just customizing your car, lots of Mustang's have GT500 spoilers etc. changing how your car looks is all part of hot-rod culture, plus body work isn't cheap...sticking a plastic badge from the higher trim car doesn't change the look of the car so much as it tries to pass it off as something its not.

I remember I used to see Satellites with Road Runner hoods on them, yet had full Satellite trim (chrome accents, etc.) It was cringe... This crap has been happening since the late sixties, if not before.
I would imagine in some people's cases they're going for a theme, not trying to say they're car is a totally different car. The Toyota looked like he was liking on the big cats whether it was jaguar or tiger or whatever

Umm hate to tell you but the standard scatpack shaker comes with all those badges. Mine came with the srt bee badge, 2 392 hemi badges on the shaker, 2 scat pack bee emblems on the side

thats a little different at least their just trying to make it look "cool". up badging is literally just trying to fool people into thinking its more expensive, not to say a civic with a huge wing is my cup of tea, but a lot of cars come from the factory with non-functional spoilers/wings, non-functional vents/ducts etc. styling is one thing up badging is status chasing, big difference IMO.
I am opposed to adding parts from a higher trim level as well. To me it's the same. I know most will not agree with me and that's cool.

ehh. I wouldn't do it, the body parts are fine thats just customizing your ride, once you start putting extra badges on thats when I would pause, if anything I would debadge it especially if you have body parts from higher trims, but its your car.

Bought a 2022 RT wide body scat pack shaker (that’s a mouth full).
Anyway, it’s all black and says 392 Hemi in red/black w chrome trim on the hood scoop (from factory).
The regular scat pack bees on the fenders stood out like sore thumbs with the yellow color. Instead, I bought two old style super bees in the same red/black w chrome trim as the hood scoop.
Would this be upbadging?
I agree with you. 90% of the public don’t care / don’t notice.. the remaining 10% (car enthusiasts) know they are full of shit .. so it’s a lose lose outcome. It’s tacky too. And in most cases someone will call these liars out. Less is more! I have a 2019 SXT and I’m more then happy with it .. would I like a higher trim ? Sure who wouldn’t.. but I will NOT lie about what it is.
If there was just a tiny bit of a water-mark in the different trim levels on the body design it wouldn't be so tempting for people to upbadge.

Figured I would get a truck instead being that I got teenagers and they hate getting in and out of the stang 😆 got to say I'm enjoying the hemi put an pedal accelerator (pedal max) on it and man did that give it a boost. Doing a few other modifications to it as well. But maybe 🤔 a scat pack next or even a hellcat when I give my oldest the stang 😆 . Technically a scatpack isn't an SRT, yes it does have a 392 in it but it has scatpack logos for a reason simple because it's not an SRT
The 392 engine is an SRT engine. It literally says "srt" on the engine cover. Scatpack is a trim name.

The 2019 Scatpack Widebody is SRT, when you turn on or off the car it says SRT on the Uconnect screen. The engine also says SRT powered, and also has all the features of the discontinued SRT 392.
I have a 2019 scat charger it has all the adaptive susp. Same gearing , sterring dampening and lowered ride hight literally everything the srt vehicle has, i wanted to get and srt badge for the grill am i wrong?

Hard prt there is SRT8 actually have SRT on parts of the car from the factory. Like how it is embedded in the factory forged wheels on so of the early years. My 2010 challenger SRT8 says SRT on the factory wheels not SRT8.
Not going to upbadge I’m going to debadge and put on flowmaster 44’s might delete something don’t know yet to make it loud but if somebody ask I’m going to tell them
I would take all mines off and have mines be anonymous or a sleeper...were you don't know until I pop the hood or hit the boost
