Great Job Sir. Keep up the good work. Kudos to those two dealerships. We have purchased (8) Dodge products from the same dealership. Have been treated fairly and would use them again IF Dodge survives and they produce anything we would want to own.

I have been diving and buying cars for 55 years. It has been over 45 years since I delt with a dealership that treaded me fairy without the crap that isso commonplace today. It is for that reason that I will never buy a new car ever again.
Hey Brad, I borrowed against my own money through our local credit union, and I got a 1.7% interest rate. Something to think about if you have money just sitting in the bank.

Dealers have historically been known for ripping off consumers unless you know the game. It's always been known that haggling is a part of the process. I recently bought my first dodge. It was the worst experience to date. I eventually bought the vehicle for 6k under sticker, but it was quite the adventure. No food and one tiny water in over 6 hours to obtain what I wanted for the price I was comfortable with. The sales guys were trying to convince me that the last call cars were going to go up in value. I laughed. In the end I got more than what they wanted to give me. The dealership even made a mistake in my favor. I paid a large down payment. Left the dealership knowing what my balance was. A few days later I went online to look at my payment details only to notice that the balance owed was $500 less than what was on the contract. I immediately paid the balance in full with $50 in finance fees. A $450 plus for me. I now have my title and my car. The dealer can go pound sand.
I’d like to give a shoutout to a dealership in SoCal! Jack Powell dealership in Escondido! They truly changed my mind about dealerships. They took my cash turnaround for my Bronco lemon ( *long story* )and gave me an awesome discount on my V6 Wrangler. Even went well below asking price! Didn’t feel pressured at all (considering my experience with a different Chrysler dealership), my sales rep (Jonathon) recommended plenty of off-road trails, and was super kind about it all without the pretentious sellers I’ve experienced with other dealers. The finance department taught me many things about vehicle registration for military. I’ve bought 3 cars since I’ve moved here, and I’m just now learning certain laws and benefits that come with getting cars in California. I was by myself in a loaner, and the dealer shipped the car to me for free on the same day! I’m not driving up from SD for an oil change every 5k miles, but if they were closer, I’d do business with them 24/7.
I joined Navy Federal Credit Union over 40 years ago when my 1st ship tied up in The Philippines. (Back then you could only join overseas for the most part). It was one of the best financial decisions I've ever made in my life!
The last car I bought was March of last year. I went to the dealership that my family had bought three cars from. The salesman I had bought from was a honest guy. His new manager got involved. I was ready to buy, then. The sales sheet had a $ 1500 addon, on a used car. Paint and interior protection. I blew up. I was ready to buy, loved the car. I stood up told the guy to get his eyes checked because I didn't have STUPID written on my forehead and walked out. I bought a different car from another dealer and drove back to show them what I bought, better deal, better car. Still friends with the salesman, still like the brand, might buy from them again. They know I won't play the game anymore.
I've dealt with some salesmen at O'Daniel. They low balled me (bad) on my 2022 challenger SP widebody with 2.5k miles about a year ago. They don't negotiate on any prices (at all) either.
The power dollars were a result of overproduction. You will not see that level of discounting again from Ford/GM/Chrysler. It's a shame Kuniiskas set up 2023 to be a huge ripoff by ending production of Hemi powered Chargers Challengers, with nothing in the pipeline. He should have released the new Charger years ago with an updated V8.
I will say the dealership we bought my mom's 2023 Dodge Challenger SXT-4 wasn't to bad of an experience as they didn't really try to up sell us anything. So Jim Shorkey Dodge isn't to bad of a dealership.
What the hell is a 2023 dodge Challenger SXT four? That must be the most unique car in the world because they don’t make it. You must work at Jim Shorkey Dodge.
What a crazy Letter. You should support the honest buyer of your product and the best Deal he can get for him and his family. Not the salesman who is trying to f someone over. Crazy😅
Brad, anytime you talk about how greedy these dealers are, I just feel so bad for whoever had to pay ridiculous mark-ups for their Mopars. However, I was really impressed by what your videos about dealers did. Finally, someone didn't have to go through hassle for buying the Scat Pack of their dreams. After seeing that Scat Pack email in the middle of the video, I've made my decision to buy my first Mopar from O'Daniel Dodge. Though Indiana is very far from California, I wouldn't mind. Seeing the service that this dealer has is so impressive. I'm definitely going to buy my first Scat Pack or Hellcat from that dealership.
As a former GSM (retired) I don’t think 8.59% for 72 months on a 2 year old vehicle is outrageous. Lending institutions are a little Leary of financing 2 year old new cars right now, especially with Chrysler products. I would be really interested on a follow up with this individual to see if he was able to secure a better rate for THIS vehicle. Granted. The finance manager probably addded on about 1% to the rate as most dealerships do for their work for for getting the customer financing. Thinking you’re way off base on criticism on this one. Lots of really bad dealers out there but in this particular case you misssed the bulllseye
Off base? First did you even notice the payments were shown to him with add ons which was presumptive, and with an 800+ fico score he most definitely will get a better rate through his credit union. Navy Feds published rate for 72mos is 5.59%. And my experience is that they’re dead on with their rates if your credit is good. But I agree that from a dealer their rate wasn’t horrible. But for an 800+ fico score he could definitely do better.
I have bought probably 10 cars from dealers new and used over the years . All but 1 were completely morons right from the management to the sales team . The on good dealer we had oddly was the a used civic we bought for our daughter for 7k. Dodge is the absolute worst out of all of them in my experience, high pressure and rammy. Toyota used to be decent but my last experience wasn’t great. My worst experience was at a rv dealership now those people make the car industry look good. We bought the trailer but after we were done nobody shook our hand lol just because I called them on them trying to rip us off with proof . Know what you’re signing, know your options
Was looking for a 2023 Dodge Charger SXT with around 2,000 miles they said technically new. Took them a while to bring it up sitting so long they needed to jump start it. Sale price was $29,999 but there was a catch I had a trade in and seeing what the total would be if I tried to pay cash so they said without financing through them they would mark the vehicle up $5,000 to $34,999 They offered me way less than what I could get for my trade in. So even with my trade in without financing would have been with taxes and fees around $27,000. So I know a dealer needs to make money and they do that through financing. But no way that car should be $27,000 with my decent trade in.
So I’m a customer not a dealer but I assume like every other product out there, the dealer gets the car a a lower price than sticker and Msrp is what manufacturers believe is a decent gain for the seller?
for just 1 dollar a week you can sponsor a car dealer salesman so he can feed his family while ocmotivator talks to him. just 1 dollar can change the lifestyle of a car deal sales man. lmmfao
You know, this nitrogen tire fill started in the 90s then it went away and came during the pandemic. What most people don't realize is that right at this moment every person on this planet's surface, not o2 for health, is breathing 80 percent nitrogen. Back in the 90's when they sold this scam, you would bring your car in and they would recover the air in your tires, like pulling freon, and refill with nitrogen. The gimmick was that the molecules were larger with nitrogen so the tire pressure wouldn't change in cold weather. The old fart that came up with the scam admitted that it was worthless in southern and western states. He was on that old TV show " shade tree mechanic " with his scam machine.
You got that right. Yesterday, I was looking at the prices of Dodge, and I live in Stockton, CA, and I looked at 2 Dodge Challengers, 1 was $151,000. The other was $183,000. Who can afford that?
Dodge dealership in Omaha advertised 807 hp on non wide body jailbreak but it is is not its 717 hp, now im filling complaints with state overseeing agency. and hiring a lawyer. It’s my last dodge purchase . They said They were waiting for dodge to get back with documents but they never got back. H and H dodge in Omaha to many bad issues in my purchase to list.
The customer votes with their purchases. Look at any CJDR and see all the stock they have. If people are buying these CJDR vehicles, they are not buying many.
Lol.. of course they are upset. They like rolling in that money and dont care where it comes from. Theres a saying in the dealership business.. their money is just as green as everyone elses.. bottom line, its not about trust, or loyalty. Its just about money. When we would get sent those customer retention and advocacy training courses online from the manufacturer.. yea they ignore that lol. So are dealerships operating in good faith for the mfr and customer? You tell me!! I think some do, most do not.
Let's be honest. The current inflationary rates and interest rates are double compared to the previous administration. I would not purchase anything until the return happens in 44 days.

OC dealers get a sell rate and buy rate. If you know you know!
for just 1 dollar a week you can sponsor a car dealer salesman so he can feed his family while ocmotivator talks to him. just 1 dollar can change the lifestyle of a car deal sales man. lmmfao
8.5% isn't robbery. A Nave or teacher credit union could beat it so shop around. Come in with a pre-approved loan and use as leverage.
Insurance WILL NOT cover any amounts over MSRP. No one should ever pay over MSRP.
That person sounds like a dealer trolling you. Stay petty OC.
That comment was from a male Karen 🤓😂
Should be baming the dealers not letting them get away with this crap
Dodge and it’s affairs are a mess
More like a shit show
You got that right. Yesterday, I was looking at the prices of Dodge, and I live in Stockton, CA, and I looked at 2 Dodge Challengers, 1 was $151,000. The other was $183,000. Who can afford that?
@@garrettsmith2654 for a challenger? Which trim?
@@FloridaRT it didn't say what trim. Maybe Hellcat or Scat Pack. But the website didn't say the trim.
@@garrettsmith2654 wow
Poor people ask how much is the payment. Wealthy ask how much is the car.
Capitalization works both ways...
When they want too much, don't buy. Get something cheaper.
They can go out of business.
There isn't a single Car dealership in the USA that is ethical.
Where I disagree with you is the customer is not forced to do this.
Lol.. of course they are upset.
Msrp. Had plenty of profit built in.
Msrp had always been an inflated price in the first place.
Dealership ethics? Are you kidding me?
Sounds like you hit a nerve 😂
Definitely a dealer or acociate
how would the salespeople feel if we rip them off ....but its ok to rip off a hard working citizen
Ethical that not in a car sales person DNA!
