Banana Fish mentioned!! After watching the anime for the first time earlier this year, I knew that I absolutely needed to read it too. I finally finished it last month after slowly buying the volumes when I had extra money and, wow! Such an incredible but tragic story. I'm glad that you enjoyed it too!
The quality of this channel this year has been insane! It is very much appreciated fam and I'd like to personally thank you for getting me to read manga throughout the years😁
Hey man, I’m the one who recommended Eden: it’s an endless world! Thanks so much for covering it. It’s quite possibly my favorite manga I’ve ever read and I’m so glad I stumbled upon it, never met anybody else who has ever read it so appreciate you giving it a shoutout and giving it the recognition I think it deserves and hopefully a lot more people read it because if this video! And to all who read this comment, have a great Thanksgiving!
Glad you finally read Eden. Its one of my personal favorites for its insane large scale plot that ties in perfectly. Def not for everyone but honestly a masterpiece.
@TheMaskedMan I'm so happy you liked Eden, It's an Endless World! It's one of my favorite Manga series. Love you're videos btw. You're my favorite youtuber and creator. :')
Oh man I forgot about Red. I remember having it on my read list for a while, but there wasn't any translations from what I saw. So I'm glad to be reminded of it. Thanks.
Dragon and chameleon makes me want to try and actually learn to draw, the characters passion is genuinely quite inspiring. I read it earlier this week and might try some of these, since the recommendations in these videos is usually enjoyable
@TheMaskedMan have you read the Lord of the Mysteries manhua? It’s basically a Victorian-era Lovecraftian steampunk isekai, and it’s getting an really good anime adaptation in 2025.
this was an amazing year of uploads and the quality of videos has improved quite a bit, hope you have an even better 2025. I have some manwha/webtoon reccommendations: hand jumper(i think you will really like this one), my in laws are obsessed with me( i dont think you will like this one, as its an otome regression manwha probably one of the best in that genre) and finally the ember knight(ah lecks had this in his reading manwha videos, i personally found this from the authors previous work, i.e. gilgamesh)
Got my copy of Dragon and Chameleon this week. It's cool you covered it here. May I suggest I Think I Turned My Childhood Friend into a Girl? Surprisingly deep.
I really really recommend reading Ender Gaister. It is a continuation of VS Evil And honestly it is not something mind blowing but I love it. It is filled with movie referances and funny shit such as a guy making a Omniscient god bored out of their mind by making them write a contract and discard it and change stuff for like 4000 years to use him for his plan.
I highly recommend Make the exorcist fall in love. The manga is very good at using actual Christian lore, including Biblical characters and events. It also great story with good characters too.
I would love to be in the stream but it is going to be 3:30 at night for me so it pretty much impossible 😢 There are a couple manga that I would love to see someone shed some light on the main one would be ( magus of the library) it is my favorite manga and nobody talks about it
I recognized that Chameleon in the cover. I'm so glad you give Dragon and Chameleon a chance :D I just don't understand the pauses this manga haves sometimes.
*Great manga:* "Ooku the inner chambers" I know it got an anime adaptation like a year ago but i dont watch much anime and the reception was lukewarm if i remember correctly. But the manga is where its at! It is just a delightful collection of stories. It doesn't have a definitive main character. The setting is the main character. I recommend it to everyone.
I would def recommend Skeleton double, short, gets straight to the point without dragging anything out, and has some of the best power systems in fighta in any recent Shounen ive watched/read Id also say to give itsuwaribito, saike matashitemo, and ijimeru yabai yatsu a shot, tho those are on the longer side
Short sweet recommendation line-up, and I wanna read Initial D soon it looks like something I'd like, but after what you said, I'm kinda hesitant now 😅
if i can give recomendations on manhwa 2 would be great! in that case: tower of god, peerless dad, superhuman era and red storm are must reads fs. 1st and 4th, great world building. all of them have great characters. peerless dad is more of a feeling kind of read, and action. red storm is a lot of action, wars strategy and stuff. superhuman era i think will be the next big thing if they animate it, the characters are gorgeous, real superheroe and villain like, great action and drawings rly. tog is just my favourite of all, i love the story building intricate factions and ideas, awesome story!
Do you think you would do a MANHWA recommendations video? Since you've done a manhua video already. Anyway, thanks for the recommendations and I'll be sure to check out the live streams 😊
I’m down to check out Dragon and Chameleon. Occasionally I get imposter syndrome around my career path of filmmaking so this could be a good way to lift my spirits.
I haven't looked through your Channel but I would like to recommend golden kamuy I don't know if you have read it before and I don't know if you have made a video on it before like I said I haven't gone through your Channel I'm more of a recent subscriber and so far the videos are great much love hope to see more of the good content👍😁 P.S. specifically the manga
My recomendation : soara and the monster house, the red eyes, magico, toujushi bestialus, bokko, gamaran, manga bomber ( some people say this inpiration for bakuman ).... Try it maybe bad and good
Some manga are totally awesome. Then there are others that, by comparison, I could come up with better ideas in my sleep. I actually challenge people to give me a genre I can make a plot from.
8:15 Interesting comparison considering I like most of these in some form, but didn’t like Eden, It’s An Endless World. It was so slow for anything to happen. To the point where the summary you gave made me feel like you were describing a totally different manga
I would reccomend "my broken mariko", "player" (manhwa, great character development), "the bugle call/ sensou kyoushitsu" and "three days of happiness" (i've only read the novel but the manga is probably pretty good too). And for anyone who hasn't read Bibliomania, hop on that shit right now.
I recommend Designs by Daisuke Igarashi. It's about humanized animals utilized by the government. The mangaka is known for creating real weird and surrealist stories. You'll be confused as hell, it's great.
I liked to recommend Prisoner Riku easily one of rhe best shounen I've read and currently has 74 chps. Also like to recommend King Golf and Return of the Gods manhwa.

I think it falls off a bit after the Gangster arch and does a time skip. Otherwise, decent.
