I took this very same line from Germany in 1972, when the conductor came by to check our Passports before we crossed into Switzerland, he told us in German: "You are now leaving Singen . . . and there are two towns nearby that are Klingen and Ringen. We are very musical down here: Klingen, Ringen and Singen!!!!" I'll never forget it.
i am amazed and envious of how free of litter are the depots..train tracks and even the large switching yards are. no matter what the law against littering are i have to think that the people want their country to be as pristeen as the natural scenery is. congrats
Thanks for the comment. I think litter is cleaned away occasionally. I once lost a hat in a tunnel while I was checking the train. A few days later it was gone.
Look where you are going is a mission guideline. Look where you have come from is for learning lessons. Looking left and right is not just for safety but also to enjoy life at work. ;D
I like a permanent rear view in the corner: it shouldn't obscure anything important. Switching away from the front view would detract from my enjoyment, but I'm happy with any of your video's: they're top quality, so thanks for them.
In my opinion, the rear view is only useful when the train takes a curve... Otherwise, you're going to see part of the first tank, who is partially blocking the rear view... The lateral view is one of the most common views in the train videos. I'm delighted of the Hi-Res, Hi-Quality of the views... Cheers for that!
Very nice! I like the varied views. The rear view when showing the inside of a curve expresses the length of the train very well. Of course, the forward view is most important. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Don't change a thing!!! I enjoy every aspect. I operate freight trains here in America and around every curve we watch the train to check for problems. I enjoy watching your videos as is. Give me a new perspective on another countries railroads!
Thanks for your comment, nice to hear from a fellow driver! I can't imagine how it must be driving a train that's a few miles long. I would love to swap places with you for a year. I was in the states last summer and was intrigued by the amount of time we crossed lines and sidings driving around.
This time you went too far with the multiple cameras perspective. Excellent!! And a thousand thanks for your contribution. Be sure that people are following your trips which are making us happy travelling along side with you. Greetings from Trikala, Greece. You are the railroad ╬♚ of all cab drivers!
Lovely video and in a snowstorm ! I would prefer that the back view camera be in the upper right and faded in only when the scenery is interesting. Please do not disappear the forward facing camera as that is my favorite view - leave the side view on the screen simultaneously if you must. Best regards, Dana.
Very interesting idea. I am less interested in what we've gone by, although looking back on the train is interesting. Maybe it's a smaller image in the the upper or lower portion of the screen. What I really do like, however, is the ability to look out the side. It's the most frustrating part of any of these journeys, not being able to see out the side. You know it's gorgeous, you know that just by going forward, but there are interesting valley views or landscapes and even some of the buildings in towns, cities, and some we just go by. The thing is, though, I don't think we should lose perspective of where we're going, so whether a side shot or a rear shot, the forward cab shot, in my opinion, should always be there. Perhaps it could become a smaller window if the other camera has something interesting, but I think we should always have the forward perspective. Thanks for letting us comment on your experiment. I definitely like the 3-camera idea.
I like the backward view fading in when there is something interesting to see such as passengers getting on and off, otherwise the front view is fine!! Side views would be great when going through the mountains and gorges though!! Thanks for another good video!!
Hello, good sir. Thought I would write this as we were going through Eglisau. Many thanks for the efforts and work in setting up the cameras and extra editing. A great result. The rear views are great particularly when going round curves, going through stations and viaducts etc, etc. This has added a new dimension to cab ride videos, so keep this idea going please. My best wishes as always....👍🏼
Backwards facing is a nice touch when there is something of interest. I prefer the split screen with points of interest inserted as text. Horizontal vs vertical split screen is also a nice touch. Nicely done, thanks for sharing
G"day mate, Thank you for showing some awesome views of The beautiful country you live in. It is a great way to see the snow by train. All we have here in Queensland is sunshine , The three way views from the train with tankers is excellent, Please show more as the train does not stop at stations this Good work and the freight trains are so dam fast which is cool. Once again keep up the good video footage. Mark ( Barney) Gleeson. Queensland,Australia.
I like it when the cab view is always there and occasionally supplemented with an additional view: backwards at a turn and when passing a station, or sideways at an overpass. I prefer the extra image in the upper right corner or occasionally the image vertically split in two.
Another excellent video! The camera looking back over the train was interesting also! I also enjoyed the side camera shots too!!! As "Peter" said I'm happy with your video's they are top quality !!! Thank you for sharing!!! :):):)
The most enjoyable alternate view I ever saw was on a Paris to Lausanne trip where the 2nd. camera was installed as follows: at the very end of the train, extremely low to the ground, right by the wheels, looking forward. Must have taken lots of work, but the result was priceless. This trip thru the snow was very pleasing!
Hi Lori, as usual another great trip love every minute , the rear and split viewing are great ,for those who have experienced the actual cab riding will know its great to be able to view the side and surround views as it makes for actually being right there as you travel your beautiful country side of Switzerland and Germany. Once again thank you for your company and a great trip always to be enjoyed. TG
Beautiful infrastructure and the absence of sway between cars when looking back indicates a well engineered and well maintained sub-grade and trackage. This also reflects the conservative axle loading permissible on European Railways. Excellent video. 2019/12/17. Ontario, Canada.
Gorgeous snow-covered landscapes and timely information. Since you allow me, here's my suggestions: (1) frontal view all the time, center; (2) two cameras 45º from frontal on either side, which you'd insert as you thought their views were interesting; (3) rear camera, used just like you've used it. Additionally, if at all possible, could you give us instant speed, height, and azimuth? Thanks!
Thanks for the feedback. I'd like to include more info, I'm just not sure how, but I'll look into it. As for cameras, I will mainly be using front and back from now on. Each additional camera increases the editing time dramatically.
Your use of the multiple cameras is great. Looking back along the curves is great. The front out view is way and by far the best. If you have multiple views on the screen better to have the front view on the bottom half of the screen and the side or rear look on the top half of the screen. As you seem to take the same route quite often maybe you could do a side view every once and while and explain what we are passing by. We would keep on coming back for that educational explanation of something along the ‘familiar path’. Just an explanation of some of the companies/industrial plants along the journey would be fantastic. Maybe there is a haunted house 🏚 along the way 👻
Hi rear camera is interesting to show passing trains and the stations, yards and interesting features along the route. I say use it in these circumstances only. Love the overall video regards Ian Brunssum NLD
Front mainly, rear occasionally (when I feel like looking into the past), split-screen upper/lower was interesting. Nice rides, hope you make more in the snow (my favorite). 4K would nice.
I would too. Just not sure how legal that is in Switzerland. A few channels that have done that have been taken down. I think part of the problem is possibly that people devising evil can learn and make plans using the videos. A number of years ago a person was caught driving a train without ever having done any official training. Since then, there is more of an emphasis on keeping operation manuals and such, away from the public eye. Basically, I'm trying to play it safe.
tanks for sharing this video! i like it alot! so nice to see how the snow blows away from the train, these camera’s did a great job! greetings from belgium!
Hello from Canada. I’m a recent new subscriber because I enjoy the information you include, especially the length of the tunnels, which allows me to decide if I want to advance forward or not. I do enjoy your other camera views, especially when you leave one pointed to the back but in a corner of the screen. I also liked your split screen, that was cool. Thanks for sharing these wonderful trips.
Great video! New to your channel, subscribed! Really enjoyed the camera views, I agree with you on the top right corner but I would like full time. Except when there is something to see, Example - Train coming at you or long sweeping right-hand curve on a split-screen side by side view. Thank you and keep up the great work!!
This is great ... Thank you. There are only a couple of wishes ... In the window in the upper corner you can show the appearance of the dashboard (speed, traction force, etc.). Backward view is better on the half of the screen, and from the other side where the camera is (as at 17:00 or 24:00). Panoramas or landscapes can be expanded to full screen (as at 29:00). Of course, all this depends on the number of cameras available...
Yes! Yes! Exactly my views also! The rear views only when going around a curve so as to be able to see the cars trailing. Also, the speed and traction force would be awesome or great whichever you prefer. Other than that Your video is as good as a Cecil B. De Mille Movie! And that's a real compliment!
Must say I prefer the front view, I like to see where I am going. However the Rhine falls where excellent, and a side shot of traffic on a road across the fields took some working out, but was inspired. Back shot OK for meets and junctions. Also shows you should not lean out of moving train windows.(close clearance between tank car and coach)
I like the single screen at 4K instead of 1080 so I can run it full screen. I have a 33 inch 4K monitor but you can't please everyone. Good video Thanks.
Awesome video, thanks for sharing. I think the best is to show the extra views in small boxes to the side, and sometimes maybe a little bigger when the view is interesting. Occasionally using the whole screen for a different view is fine, that adds extra interesting sights, especially the sideways view. The half/half messes with my eyes too much as my eyes keep hopping left and right all the time and don't know which one to watch xD
Interesting but as someone else replyed before you should you the rear view more when taking curves and the side views always as split view as in forwrd/side and forward/rear view. Thank you for your post I love it!
Bonne continuation .
My primary interest is the front view, so I would kind of like that always in frame, but I really liked the top and bottom split at around 18:00. Also the side view is occasionally interesting, like at the Neuhausen Rheinfall, but mostly I like rear facing camera, esp. when a curve brings the rest of the cars in view. Great work!
I congratulate you on excellent shots. My advice perhaps unique in the shooting from the cabin is that of a video camera that takes up the control desk, to highlight the driving of the train. Grazie Stefano, Florence, Italy.
I agree with this opinion! A view over the train controls (over the driver shoulder for example...), will be fantastic! Other positive thing can be a small, permanent display showing the speed of the train...! 👍😊
Nice transitions. Ok concept. Liked the rear facing view on top (super wide screen like). But at the end of the day, a nice sharp camera is what I look for. That front one is disappointing, or the screen and window wipers are bad.
I like watching where we've been and moving forward.
The snow and mist gives a whole new mood to the scenery and I like the alternative views. Excellent as usual!
Thanks!
i am amazed and envious of how free of litter are the depots..train tracks and even the large switching yards are. no matter what the law against littering are i have to think that the people want their country to be as pristeen as the natural scenery is. congrats

FANTASTIC.. i think one of the most beautiful cab ride video !!! Hope you will do others in futures !!!!!
Stefano Santini Thank you. Yes, there are many more videos coming.

I love the view looking back along the train as it sweeps round curves. Looks very dramatic kicking up sprays of snow.
Top!!
Danke schön
Very nice! I like the varied views. The rear view when showing the inside of a curve expresses the length of the train very well. Of course, the forward view is most important. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
hy , superb view from all 3 angles , love the hard work , keep up this is so relaxing and enjoyable , thank you for sharing with us .
Voll kuhl !
Danke Ihnen!
Forgot to say excellent, excellent, excellent!

I like having the view looking back along the train as well as the front view of course.
Next video will have that
Confluence of rivers near Neuhausen was spectacular! And the rear view is also very interesting! Great video!
Thanks!
This should be used as a train film as it shows just how long it takes to exit that branch line to the main and how long your train is. WELL DONE.
Lovely video and in a snowstorm ! I would prefer that the back view camera be in the upper right and faded in only when the scenery is interesting. Please do not disappear the forward facing camera as that is my favorite view - leave the side view on the screen simultaneously if you must. Best regards, Dana.
Thanks Dana. I'll keep the forward facing view visible in future videos.
Tolles Video! Gratulation.
franz steinböck Danke sehr

nice. It's really nice to see the snow swirling around the train trunk.
Great job as always! I enjoy the view looking back along the train... it’s like the driver’s view in the mirror
AllFastTrains Thanks!

But in general I'm very enthusiastic about your video's. They have an outstandding quality!

Ich finde das großartig !! Alle Ecken des Zuges! LG Onno.
Danke schön :)
Super Mitfahrt. Die Sichtweise rückwärts war richtig klasse.
meinolf klinkert Vielen Dank
I was skeptical at first, but I think I like it.
Thanks. This video was a bit over the top with differing views, the next ones will be more tame.
G"day mate,
Thank you for showing some awesome views of
The beautiful country you live in.
It is a great way to see the snow by train.
All we have here in Queensland is sunshine ,
The three way views from the train with tankers is excellent,
Please show more as the train does not stop at stations this
Good work and the freight trains are so dam fast which is cool.
Once again keep up the good video footage.

Thanks! Gald you liked it!
Thanks for your feedback
The most enjoyable alternate view I ever saw was on a Paris to Lausanne trip where the 2nd. camera was installed as follows:
at the very end of the train,
extremely low to the ground, right by the wheels,
looking forward.
Must have taken lots of work, but the result was priceless.
This trip thru the snow was very pleasing!
Sehr cool Vielen Dank fürs mitnehmen.
Really like the external view
Here you go again I give you 110% top job love it all .
Thanks a lot!
Simply Perfect! That would be the minimum for such a broadcast. Even a speedometer if it were on screen would be absolutely perfect.
Hi Lori, as usual another great trip love every minute , the rear and split viewing are great ,for those
who have experienced the actual cab riding will know its great to be able to view the side and surround views
as it makes for actually being right there as you travel your beautiful country side of Switzerland and Germany.
Once again thank you for your company and a great trip always to be enjoyed. TG
Many thanks!
Beautiful infrastructure and the absence of sway between cars when looking back indicates a well engineered and well maintained sub-grade and trackage. This also reflects the conservative axle loading permissible on European Railways. Excellent video. 2019/12/17. Ontario, Canada.
Thanks! Axle load is about 22.5 metric tons wgen trains are full, and about 6 in this case.
E X C E L E N T E, GENIAL IDEA LO DE LAS 3 CAMARAS, E X C E L E N T E
Hello, you video is absolutely excellent . Thank You 👍😊
Thanks
beautiful。
Great video! Love a train journey thought the snow. I've just given this video its 1000th like!
Thank you!
Super good video!!!Thank You😉
I like the occasional side view similar to looking out side windows. Nice change of pace
Excellent vid, thanks for the ride.
Your use of the multiple cameras is great. Looking back along the curves is great. The front out view is way and by far the best. Hi rear camera is interesting to show passing trains and the stations, yards and interesting features along the route. I say use it in these circumstances only. Love the overall video regards Ian Brunssum NLD
I love this video! I like info about train and railway junction.
Front mainly, rear occasionally (when I feel like looking into the past), split-screen upper/lower was interesting. Nice rides, hope you make more in the snow (my favorite). 4K would nice.
I always enjoy seeing the control panel operation with the front view (over the drivers' shoulder ) or in a separate camera view.
I would too. Just not sure how legal that is in Switzerland. A few channels that have done that have been taken down. Both views are excellent
An excellent video again most interesting trip again thank you for sharing ,please turn the heater up a bit I was freezing HA HA.
Great video, I like the multi views. I also like your text information and map.

Great video! New to your channel, subscribed! Really enjoyed the camera views, I agree with you on the top right corner but I would like full time. Except when there is something to see, Example - Train coming at you or long sweeping right-hand curve on a split-screen side by side view. Thank you and keep up the great work!!
Thank you! For more cab rides, see my playlist.
Excellent, thank you!
This is great ... Thank you.
There are only a couple of wishes ... In the window in the upper corner you can show the appearance of the dashboard (speed, traction force, etc.). Interesting but as someone else replyed before you should you the rear view more when taking curves and the side views always as split view as in forwrd/side and forward/rear view. Thank you for your post I love it!
Rearview is nice, however, the front view is more expansive and the view is much more pleasurable.

Great original video !! Thanks !! 👍
Meester Siemen Thank you!
Spettacolare video in un paesaggio altrettanto stupendo. Ciao al prossimo
Fantastico
Straight out the front is best for me.
I congratulate you on excellent shots. My advice perhaps unique in the shooting from the cabin is that of a video camera that takes up the control desk, to highlight the driving of the train.

I preferred the split screens through Eglisau. Excellent video 👍
Great great job.
