The ride down the mountain was nothing more than pristine and the surprise at the bottom to open into that magnificent gorge then travel through all off those magnificent buildings and homes to the end at Chur station. Travelling through the street was different. What a beautiful place. Thanks to the world of You Tube we are all able to share all of the fantastic experiences. Thanks Mr camera man. you did a great job.
The lack of worthless music here, in a great video coupled with beautiful iconic scenes of Switzerland, hazy and all, makes for one of the best cab view docs I have seen on uTube to date. Thanks!
I watched this video twice to soak it in and enjoy it. Spectacular ride through the Swiss mountains. I enjoyed watching the clouds hugging the mountain side. If you like lazy and winding tracks through some stunning scenery, you have to watch this video. I enjoyed it and I think you will also. Many, many THANKS and God bless you for your diligent work!!!
30:08 The camera needs to be held in the horizontal plane by tightening of the tilt adjustment on whatever is holding the camera in place on the driver's console of the locomotive.
Mate, you could mount the camera on a washing machine on spin dry and I’d still love watching your videos. Yours is probably my favourite UA-cam channel, which considering how many channels there are, is the highest compliment I can give you. Your videos are beautiful, truly ❤️👌🏻
An excellent video. The small camera problems did not spoil it in any way. I think RhB are heroic to support a short line with so many tunnels, bridges and galleries in a geologically difficult area. Maintaining them must be very costly. The traffic junction at Plessurquai (after the Chur Altstadt stop) is scary for car drivers at busy times. I'm surprised there aren't more dented trains and cars!
Is there another trip where the tracks zigzag as much as on this trip?? Enjoyed the scenery very much. I love it. Did any of the passengers on board get dizzy ??
Ficamos 14 anos parado no tempo. (2003 a 2017).
Vielen Dank
Beautiful scenery, as always in Switzerland. Loved the winding route down the mountain. The occasional camera movement was not a problem. I would love to see this trip in wintertime.
Beautifull video , so many sharp curve at one point I tought we would see our rear of the train emerging from the fog !!!! At 19:45 on the right of the big bridge , is that a recent land slide ?
Amazing! Thanks for posting this. My grandmother took me to Switzerland in 1976 when I was 8. We stayed in Litziruti and everyday we'd get the train into either Arosa or Chur. The most stunning train ride in the world! So many happy memories of me and my gran in Switzerland. Thanks for posting
7:30 Gesundheit! Rhaetian Railways fitted a car with the same camera system used for Google Maps Street View, so you can follow along the route from that website, though they're only still panoramas.
Typically slick crossing of trains 10:33, the one we're crossing coming into the loop at exactly the same time as we do. Not too many customers for the open air scenic carriage today!
Wow! I mean wow!!! That was one amazing ride all the way down to Chur. Was kinda misty in the beginning but it turned out clear anyway. Enjoyed the roller coaster ride. I felt the descent was steep in some places with the camera tilting up and down but that didn't matter, was fun. Beautiful scenery and tunnels (good short ones) made it a thoroughly magnificent experience. What about a return trip, if possible?
Another great ride to X-A-SISE too. From cloud/fog 12,000 meters to 500 ( give or take ). Interesting how man, for centuries, has carved along the mountain sides and into the bellies to provide pathways and viaducts to farm-able / live-able environments. c20-21inkRWBEE
Excellent , do you have a video going to Luzern , I was visiting the area in 2004 and we stopped at Giswill , would like to see the area again . Thanks !
Very atmospheric foggy day at the top of the mountain! It must take a lot of nerve driving in those conditions, as you can have absolutely no idea what might be just in front of you.
A loco driver has to be always alert! Obviously with bad weather is everything more difficult such as wheel sleep, time to see the lights in the fog etc. thanks for your appreciation!
Danke für das tolle Video. Wunderbare Berglandschaft.
A beautifully civilized environment! Allow me a technical question: what is the type of braking used? Is it friction type, with brake shoes or brake disk pads or is it regenerative or is it a mixture of both? Thank you in anticipation. 2020/05/14. Ontario, Canada.
Nice to see the older buses. The quarry just after the start must be mining something special to be this high up, or is it for local need? I hope the loco emergency tool box has a big shovel, a large crow bar, an axe and a chain saw. There must be a need for all these tools after a storm. Trees, rocks, sand and earth. On a trip to Chur watch out for the electric buses, silent but deadly.
Hi there! We have everything exept a chain saw. The "quarry" that you said is a concrete mixing plant for the region of Arosa. Cement and gravel/sand are transported by train.

The ride thru the clouds, the views! Another wonderful ride! This is making me homesick!!
These railways amaze me. The very fact that they were constructed is incredible. Love going through the clouds too. -Henry
I see nothing wrong with this video, enjoyed it start to finish!!! 5* Thank You!
That was quick. Thanks :)

Even with the wonky camera mount still an enjoyable video. A part of Switzerland I've not been to . Thank-you. Jon

Great video that captures the beauty of changing weather and atmosphere in a beautiful country. Thank you.
5:21 Geez, if it gets any foggier, you might have to pull out your white cane and feel your way along the track! LOL😁
For sinuosity this line must take some beating. Grateful you decided to post it.
I think the camera problems were probably more annoying to Paolo than they were to me. An excellent video regardless!
Thank you

The Bernina pass also has a lot of curves, St Moritz - Tirano.
For me, the movement was caused by the camera that wanted to look up to admire the beautiful landscape of Switzerland. Really great video.
Many thanks

A mixture of all 3, depending on the rolling stock. RhB even use vacuum brakes on older coaches.
