It looks like a great trip. Winter snow camping is a great way to get away from the crowds. Here in Central Oregon we get deep snow and snowshoes or nordic skis are essential for snow travel
It worked out better than we anticipated! We don't normally eat Keto, but high fat meals keep us warm outside in the winter. Glad you enjoyed the video, it sure takes some time to put together. Thanks for watching!
Great video but, poor Lucy If the tail is out of the hole, it’s “caught” in my book 👍🏻 Have you ever used a reflector oven with a wood stove in your hot tent? I’ve never done it camping (hot tent) but, I’ve done it very successfully with the wood stove in my old house. Just put the pizza, or whatever, in the reflector oven and put the open side up against the side of the wood stove.
Ya, we hate to see her bonk like that but she LOVES being out there. We've since learned that we probably need to add at least 750ml-1 litre of water to her meals, and feed her 3 times instead of 2. She won't drink any water at all during the day in the winter. I guess that's typical of sled dog breeds. I think we might have tried that reflector oven method once, but I can't recall what it was or how it turned out. We will definitely have to try that next! Thanks for tip and thanks for watching Alan!
They actually weren't too bad, managed to stay warm. Never fully dried out the mukluks, we've been waiting on some over-boots that would have been perfect in that situation...yep hot tent is always cozy! Thanks for checking out the video.
You should keep your dog from drinking that. easy way to get Giardia ps. Wrote that before the puke. :) pps. To campers, eating lentils in an enclosed space has some gassy drawbacks.
It's hard to get Lucy to drink enough water winter camping. We have to add water to her kibble to keep her hydrated. Legumes have their side effects but at least the hot tent is breathable and the stove keeps the air circulating. 😊
Fantastic adventure you two! What could be better than camping, good food and some R&R! Thanks for sharing. :) :)
It really doesn't get much better that that! Thanks for watching Jacqueline.

We didn't have much snow last winter, hoping for more this winter. I never see anyone out there it's great!
Poor Lucy @ 1518 having to wake from her slumber 😊 a wonderful adventure for the three of you.
She was just having too much fun. She slept great every other night, no issues. It was a fun one, thanks for watching!
What a lovely trip, amazing food, peaceful location. Lucy is such a gorgeous girl 😊
Thanks so much! 😊 We enjoyed the time together making the most of this winter.
Food was incredible folks . Better luck next time with the speckles . You two are pros with the winter camping biz.
Ya unfortunately not much luck in the fishing department, but the food made up for it. Appreciate the support Alex, thanks!
Bet they were stocked specks and they can be finicky even in the winter .@@AleconAdventures
Hi great trip well done. Love the food and pizza looked so good. Now I want Pizza. Alec- Paige-& Lucy make a great team. Until next video.
Thanks Helen! Well then I hope you treat yourself to some pizza soon. The 3 of us love tripping together. More videos to come soon!
Wow!! All the food looked so good. Really enjoyed watching this trip, great work you guys. Thanks for sharing.
Definitely some of the best meals we've made out there. Thanks for watching!
That extra work up the hill to get to your site was worth all the gourmet meals.
Ya the travel days were tough but the hanging out eating good food in between was definitely worth it. Had to work up an appetite.
That Dutch oven on the stove, what couldn't be cooked perfectly? The sticky buns pure Keto! Nice trip, really good editing. Beautiful dog.

All the way from Atlanta! Welcome to the channel. Thanks for stopping by 🙂
Some of the best food I've ever made on trip. We will be bringing the dutch oven more often, worth it's weight for the delicious food it makes.
Can't wait to do sticky buns again, so good!

can someone link to those boots.
They are Steger Mukluks, the Artic model. Worth the investment!
