I loved the video. Thank you for sharing your adventure. Your positive attitudes and expertise were wonderful to watch.
Thanks Alec for the wonderful video, I enjoyed watching it!
Did u see a big foot 🦶🏾🦶🏾
Only in my dreams...
Nice video! Is that the Ostrom Wabakimi or the Winisk?
It's the Ostrom Winisk. I bought it on a pre-sale deal before they started selling their packs again. It's super tough and comfortable,I'm very happy with it. I added a Barrel Works pack liner to it this year which keeps everything dry inside. Thanks!
Where do you park for provoking lake. At mew? That’s a long haul
We parked at the east beach so we only had to paddle Lake of Two Rivers before portaging into Provoking. It's not too far, I've even gone in just for the day. The portage in is mostly uphill though.
LOL....the food was making my mouth water, just like your dog. I totally recommend gin and ginger beer for a camping drink. How long does it take to set up your hot tent? Cheers 🥃
That does sound like a good camping drink. Setting up our Snowtrekker hot tent is pretty quick and we've done it many times now which helps. This was the first trip using the stove pipe support which also saves time. What always takes the most time hot tenting is gathering/processing firewood. Luckily there was lots of dead wood close by. Cheers!
I am very surprised that husky will get in the water. My room mate had one and she would panic if she had to walk in even a puddle more than like an inch and half deep
She doesn't mind getting her feet or legs wet but she won't go any deeper than her chest. I'm happy she doesn't like swimming though. It takes forever for her double coat to dry.
Cooking with a fire on pine needles very risky
Yes it is. Got to be careful.
“Hammer all day!”
You know it!
You guys are so cute.❤
Lots of amazing adventures together.
I would love to paddle the Dumoine, if only I had any whitewater skills 😅
It's an amazing river I highly recommend.
Good Mowning🌞🌞
👍
Good morning robert🤗,,,, woww...amazing Canoeing adventures Alec,,have a lot of fun ☺ Say my hello to robert, alec 🤗
Hey, thanks for the kind words! I'm glad you liked the video, I had a great time.
Nice wraps!
Yum yum!
@@AleconAdventures wraps became very popular on my trips this year 🙂
Awesome group of paddlers, looked so fun.
Yeah, it was a blast! Glad you enjoyed the video.
You’ve got one great bow paddler.
She's great, my favorite partner.
Fun times!
Always with the Fam!
Why is it like figure skating you're always waiting for someone to fall?
For sure it's part of the fun
The stories about this place are absolutely horrifying
Spooky indeed
What type and how much does that canoe weigh? Cheers!
Souris River Tranquility in Kevlar, 33lbs
Wow, that's quite an adventure. The scenery and your videography are beautiful.
Thanks! I can't wait to get back winter camping.
Man, where you been? Welcome back!
I filmed some trips but editing got put on the back burner. I'm happy to share my adventures. Thanks!
Love the editing on this trip. My dogs would have jumped in to retrieve the fish. Lucy is gorgeous and a good girl. Really nice trip.
She’s a good girl for sure! Thanks!
Lucy is gorgeous 😊. I could never get my Lab to lay down in the canoe despite exhausting efforts 😂
She's pretty good but will only lay down after losing some energy on a portage.
Nice fishing with Lucy jumping around in there! I make the dogs sit but they only listen if they have a foam pad in there lol.
We were using a piece of an old yoga mat but we found it absorbed too much water and pieces were ripping off. She doesn't have much experience with fishing in the canoe, it would be nice for her to relax. Something to work on.
Beautiful thumbnail of Lucy asleep in the canoe
She's a cutie!
Familiar territory for you, Algonquin and setting up camp in the dark. Another good trip, September is nice time to paddle.
Love that month. Long days for sure. Thanks Jay!
Too noisy take in consideration that please
Ok. Thanks
Is there a waterfall nearby?
Some rapids and small chutes.
Always nice to get a pumpkin in Specktember . Great video
Indeed. Thanks!
What 5k portage did you do? I've done the Opeongo 5k, but no others in the park that long - although I've heard they exist!
There are plenty of crazy long portages scattered throughout the park. My longest on this trip was just under 5km, NE of the one you did. Thanks for watching!
you gotta go further @@AleconAdventures
Whoa - looks like you really put a challenge in front of you on this one! Those are long days...but the gorgeous brook trout are worth the delays, obviously. Glad to see you back in the forest and making videos; we love your quiet enthusiasm and calm demeanour through what was certainly not an easy trip! Hope to see more from you soon 🙏
It was definitely a challenge and the brookies made it all worth it! Thanks more to come.
Awesome video..lots of beautiful brookies being caught! Just wondering what kind of tent you are using? Looks pretty sweet
I was using a OneTigris mesh inner tent tied to a ridgeline with an Aquaquest tarp over top. It's a great setup with lots of ventilation.
@@AleconAdventures What size is your tarp, 13 x 10 or 15 x 15? Thanks bro
Glad you were able to squeeze in some paddling on your hiking trip 😉.... Nice fishing as always Alec!
Haha, yeah I do a lot of both!
That looked like a real cool adventure. Really love your laid back style.
Thanks for the feedback, appreciate you watching!
@@AleconAdventures Hi Alec, bit of a silly question, but had a gear question. I've been looking for a pair of sunglasses like you had on giving full coverage, have some issues of my own, and they look like a good option. And really curious about your tarp and "bivi" tent set up. Anything you could share would be helpful.
I just spent 6 days in Killarney with 3 packs and 2 dogs. It was visually spectacular and physical torture! All 12 portages 3 times except the one I triple packed which was worse! When I work that hard my brain shuts right off and I can't think about a single thing! I brought a whole bag of fishing gear and didn't have time to fish 😂😭
I know that feeling, sounds pretty brutal.🤣 Killarney has some tough rocky portages too.
Good trip. Tough portage route. More fishing less carry.
I know, those portages were brutal but it was worth it!
Nice trout, enjoyed. Thanks
Thanks for watching!
Geez There are shorter portage routes!
Yes there definitely are but I want to paddle all the routes in Algonquin. Long portages often lead to good trout fishing.
Some nice specks there .
Thanks bud!
its been awhile,i thought you moved on to different horizons, another great video,as always wonderful photography composition and editing.take care from oklahoma.
Hey John, youtube got put aside for awhile but I plan to continue making videos for this channel. Thanks for your support!

I got out plenty this summer, it was pretty good. Happy to be back and sharing adventures again.
