This will be the perfect gift for my Warhammer obsessed Brother! Thank you!
Looks like Santa came early this year. Love the beard.
The chilled out prono music makes this even better.
Thanks I like it too.
Cannot wait for this!!
I have my reminder all set!!
I hope you like it!
Yes!!!
One note though, the initial layer in lore is a ceramic composite, under that is adamantine metal. For even more realism you could incorporate that into light battle wear
For some more Chapter specific variants:
Dark Angels - Wings on the sides of the helmet
White Scars - A topknot coming out of the back.
Space Wolves - Engraved runes
Blood Angels - A blood drop in place of a skull engraving.
Iron Hands - A cybernetic eye on one of the runes
Ultramarines - Either a laurel crown or a centurion style plume
Salamanders - Flame engravings
Raven Guard - A beak in place of an angry vox grill
Thanks for the info.
Ted: We're making a Warhammer40K Space Marine helmet today.
Me: Yay!
Ted: So this is going to be for the Space Wolves Chapter.
Me: SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
Thank you for your support and for watching.
awesome looking helmet! The Eyepiece looks way better than with the grating.
Totally agree!
I've seen Space Marine helmets elsewhere in Pepakura pages, the RPF, Etsy, etc., but never a Stormcast Eternals helmet (Age of Sigmar). Ted, if you did one of those...ooooh man. That would be epic.
I am soooooooo happy I caught this!!! I really hope you’re going to Dragoncon this year
Me too!
I can’t wait to get this project started!
Another awesome video! The Warhammer armours are so cool. I like the big terminator librarian variety, but its a little epically bulky and huge. This Helmet turned out great, the latex chipped paint thing worked very nicely :D
Glad you liked it!
Here from Adam Savage. Love the channel. Evil Ted ain’t so evil. Pretty great maker.
Thank you for your kind words and support!
Love the helmet!!!
Thank you for subscribing.
LOL Ted you should have gone with a White helmet. All the top elite Space Marines have white helmets no matter what chapter they come from. 1st Company White Helmets to signify their elite status. Excellent build!!
Thanks for watching.
@@EvilTedSmith you should have painted it white to show that you were an elite builder
That beard caught me off guard
Soooooooo ready for this!
So cool i want to make one
Wow amazing work
Thank you. And thank you for subscribing.
I know Tom from Mellowmind as I have had multiple custom templates made by him
He’s an excellent pattern maker.
By the Emperor.... 0 dislikes!
That looks great:)
Thank you.
Really Awesome!!!
Glad you think so!
Much love to Evil Ted love your show
Thanks for subscribing.
@@EvilTedSmith thank you for some amazing builds
Wait a minute ... what kind of Space Wolf wears their helmet!?
The kind that are doing space walks. Sons of Russ may be stubborn but we aren't stupid.
FOR THE EMPEROR!!!!!
Could you make a Frazetta Deathdealer helmet?
Les goooo!
Very good Ted but space wolves are grey and ultra marines are blue or am I wrong
I had a question about your incredible chipped paint technique. Obviously the liquid rubber seems to work the best, but you also mentioned it being done with toothpaste, do you think Elmer's glue could give the same effect as well?
Do you need something it won’t stick very well. Elmers glue is still a glue it might stick to good and pull the paint off as well. If you don’t have rubber latex use toothpaste.
@@EvilTedSmith Okay, thank you so much for the tip!! Would I just use the same methods with the toothpaste that you used with the latex?
You use a lot of contact cement, that I gather is rather solvent aggressive. Have you tried the neopren rubber contact cement? Used for akvarium and water basins, waterbased, UV resistant and have a forever like shelf life. Came across creature cast homepage, and that got me going... I've been looking for a latex replacement for a long time and neoprene seems to hold an answer. Here in Denmark it's too costly to have their product send. So I've looked around for lokal neoprene products and stumbled across this waterbased rubber contact cement from Danalim. I think you should be able to find something similar, and maybe get rid of the acetone under your nose ;)
I love your glue pot, where did you find that? And a BIG thanks for all your inspiring videos ☺️
Thanks for the info. Glad to here you like the Creature Cast.
@@EvilTedSmith haven't tried it - you got some part in creaturecast? The only thing that worries me is that the most elastic version is shore A 30 - regular latex is shore A 20. Do you know if it is possible to go even lower like shore A 10-15
I've tried to kneat 1/4 silicone into a foam clay and that really makes it keep flexibility, the modeling time was a little to short before settling. I'm going to try with some MS sealent - a paint able version which has a blend of the acrylic and the silicone properties.
Очень круто!
Can’t wait
UA-cam tells me this premiered 11 hours ago at 8:30 MST on June 5, 2021.
you must have held on to that silver spray paint can for a while as they have closed down all the Orchard Supply Hardware stores!
Ha ha yeah, I have a Lotta old cans of spray paint.
Beard❤️
👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏💪
Hey can you build the legate lanius mask from fallout new vegas?
PLEASE BUILD A WARHAMMER Space marine intercessor!!!
It’s on my list!
YAY! I CANT WAIT!!
Template no longer available?
Oh no. I'm sorry about that. I have the pattern & video for my Marine helmet ua-cam.com/video/uQYyTezzZ4o/v-deo.html
The lamenters lost again? 14:42
Awoooooooooooo....achem excuse me, very cool.
Thank you.
The music is a bit loud in comparison to your speech sometimes. Great build though :)
I notice that as well. I'll turn it down next time. Glad you liked it!
Well, that's a shame. I had really high hopes for Ted.
Nobody ever gets the Space Marine helmet right.
Guess I'll have to keep looking - or do it myself. :)
What’s Wrong with this helmet? I think it’s great!
@@jackneiner7322 I guess you have never painted a WH40K Space Marine model.
The proportions are off and the faceplate is all wrong.
Here's a link to a Space Marine model's helmet;
megabitzshop.com/Warhammer-40k-Bitz-Space-Marines-Tactical-Squad-Head-D
Yea, first thing I thought looking at it was that looked super weird.
@Steelmage99 I’ve been painting WH40k for about a year and my faction IS Space Marines.
Why I think it looks off to you is because your used to 1/42 scale
@@jackneiner7322 look at the air filter intake, notice how the bottom ridge is straight. It's ment to have a curve to it so makes it look like its angry, this helmet lacks that and many other details, like the tubes or raised areas along the jawline. Honestly it looks half finished to me. I'm a cosplayer and been playing WH40K for about 14 years now. Owned Space Wolves and Dark Angels, this helmet does not look right to me at all.
All good all good, now make a real space marine to use it
