Ugh, I wish I saw this earlier. I learned that your way is so much earlier.
@@deborahclark1136 thank you for watching, I’m glad my way works for you 😁
Now is that whole piece silver or just the top of it??
Some are plated silver and some will be solid silver but all of them will need to be refined to make pure .999 silver.
Thank you for watching.
Are those contacts solid silver?
Some will be plated silver and others will be solid but not pure. They will all need to be refined.
Thank you for watching
I've been savin❤g❤ ❤❤them up amen
Awesome! I’ve been saving them for a couple years now myself.
God bless!
Is it pure silver or silver plate
Some are plated some are more solid silver but none of them are .999 pure silver. They will need to be refined or sold as is to buyers on eBay or other places.
Thank you for watching.
🤙🤙👍🤔 interesting 😁✌️
Thank you buddy!
Are the contacts pure silver ?
Unfortunately no they are not.
Thank you for watching.
are the kantakts pure Silver?
No, they’ll need to be refined.
Thank you for watching.
@@scrapitall200 Thank you
@@jensvolkmann5544 you’re welcome!
So how many have you saved up?
I have about 6 ounces so far with a lot more to process from breakers.
Thanks for watching buddy.
😎👍👍👍
Thank you buddy!
I like that so many people love silver like I do, but at the current fake spot price it doesn't seem like an efficient use of time to collect these micro-amounts which then need more work to refine. Has anyone done a cost analysis of grams per hour of labor to recover these bits?
I scrap as a hobby and I think it’s fun. I understand it’s not for everyone.
I don’t know the amount of pure silver that can be recovered.
Thank you for watching.
@@scrapitall200 10-4. I have to admit that I have been collecting broken solar panels for similar reasons. Some I can repair and are producing power for me. The rest I stockpile until someone figures out a viable way to recover the silver in them, since the average solar panel contains 2/3 of ounce of silver. But it is in silver paste form a difficult to separate. Thanks.
@@smo-guiver8315 wow, I didn’t know they had that much silver in them, thanks for that.
In what els cn I fined more silver contacts
@@aledhughes6000 pretty much anything that requires a switch for the electricity to turn on or off.
Keep in mind the silver isn’t pure and will need to be refined using acids or finding someone who refines silver. eBay is an option for selling these contacts as they are.
Thank you for watching.
@@scrapitall200 thank you mate what is the prise on the silver im new to this micro scraping and its well interesting thanks mate
@@aledhughes6000 I think silver is around $25 an ounce. I’m not entirely sure as I’m just collecting as many silver contacts as I can right now.
So what about the silver contacts that are welded
Unfortunately I don’t have any of those yet.
Thank you for watching.
So that's silver? What purity?
It will vary depending on what it came from. I’ve heard that it’s possible 70% silver. All of them will need to be refined though.
Thank you for watching.
Funny thing is the Copper is probably more expensive than the silver.
That would be a great experiment to find out.
