Wow, you can really see how much copper is missing after the reaction. Looks like it took care of the thin sheets surrounding the contacts. I'll use this method to get rid of the copper before further purification. Thank you!
Hi, to be honest I never tried, but palladium is possible to be attacked in a solution of strong oxidiser like hydrogen peroxide in presence of chloride and acid. You gave me idea to test this. Thanks!
@@escrapchannel sir i did same the same process as you, but the silver is attached to the points in the same way. Mean. In this process silver is not remove on copper points.
Hi, you used citric acid, table salt and hydrogen peroxide? Sometimes peroxide is old and not catalysing the reaction well. What was the % of the peroxide?
@@yousafali1118 When you mix the peroxide with citric acid and salt reaction immediately starts with copper. Is color changing or bubbling starting, please?

Hi, thanks!
Thanks for sharing this method. I’m going to try it out
@@lewislyon4726 Hi, you are welcome!
Nice little contacts, nice method!
Thanks! I really like it!
Nice and simple, also heard you can dissolve copper with ammonium nitrate dissolved in water
Thanks!
great video what is name of acid you used ,i must try this i have a lot of contacts to do
Thanks! I used citric acid. Bakeries use it a lot :)
Super job...🤝🙏👍
Thanks!
good job. does this solution work to clean silver/palladium relay contacts from copper?
Hi, palladium will be dissolved, too. At least the surface layer, so you will have some Pd in solution.
@@escrapchannel thank so much ❤️ and keep with the amazing work
@@ivoestrela820 Thanks!
Thanks for the video, does palladium dissolve in this mixture, I have palladium contacts on thin copper.

What's a quick way to differentiate silver and palladium?
@brandonowens282 Hi, I use testing solutions of nitric acid and a second one for silver based on dichromate.
Did you have silver chloride in your solution? I ended up with a good amount of it on the bottom of my beaker.
Hi, no. In my case I did’t see silver chloride formed.
Very good!
Thank you!
If I have brass contacts with silver. Does it work then?
@@TimK-j4b Hi, brass is an alloy of copper with zinc and usually copper is more than zinc in it. Should be working, but I never tried.
if is cooper and silver contact from that type of relay why are them magnetic? did you try to cros with magnet abowe them
Hi, contacts are not magnetic. It was east Germany or USSR relays, I can’t remember exactly.

Nice job, bro 💯👍
Thanks!
super, good luck to you 👍👍👍🤝🤝🇺🇦
Thanks!
Excuse me what are you using I know is salt and what's the other two things please let me know and thank you
Hi, I use salt, citric acid and 6% hydrogen peroxide.
@eScrap Channel thank you very much and by the way nice video
@@noecarrillo4391 Thanks!
Which method do you use to recover the silver?
Hi, I usually use copper to cement silver and after that electrolytic purification.
Предното видео с топенето, колко такива реленца използва? 😄
Шегуваш се ти … но за десетте килограм ще да е бил цял камион. 😂😂😂
Thanks... 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Welcome!
Citric acid + peroxide is good, molten ammonium nitrate is better, faster and cheaper, just di it outside and use glasses and gloves
Thank you! / Благодаря!
That looks like copper to me
Hi, it is a silver contact on top of copper base.
Not work
What is not working? What did you do?
@@escrapchannel sir i did same the same process as you, but the silver is attached to the points in the same way. Mean. In this process silver is not remove on copper points.
