I think that the imperfections in a video make it look more realistic. Real life imperfections are an attraction in themselves. Not every mistake has to be edited out. Correcting yourself live is the way things are in real life. Anyhow your video was great. Keep it up and don't give up.

Haha! I 100% agree with you about not wanting a channel about how to do UA-cam.
We're in the same boat brother. I have MO CLUE what my channel will end up being about. And to be honest, I'm not so sure that I will have a niche.
For now it's just shoot what I want to shoot and I'll see where it goes from there. Lol
But one thing for sure, I won't be transitioning to yet another UA-cam "coach"

Great update enjoying as I chased my rabbit around the living room😂 It's amazing how far you can go in one month when I started my first UA-cam channel. my first 6 videos. Omg what a mess.

Good to see a new video and congrats on the numbers. Sure, they're modest, but hey, you're doing it. I'm in the same boat you were in, perfectionism. Or as I like to say "Paralysis by Analysis". Big fault of mine. It's funny how similar our thinking is about doing this. I just need to start, at least as a legacy of myself. I don't really know what niche, if any, I'll have. And just making commitment to myself to keep it up once I start but also go easy on myself if I slip at times.
Looking forward to your next video, about whatever you have to share. Good Luck, Mark SATX!

Fantastic update! Congrats on the 1 month milestone. And congrats on the steady growth. When you brought up the quote, it reminded me of 2 quotes I have printed out on my desk in front of me to keep me motivated. #1 "If you create barriers to filming, you use them as an excuse to not film" and #2 is "You will learn more from doing more, rather than obsessing over fine details." Both by Ben Kaluza on UA-cam. So keep moving forward and it'll be fun to see your month 2 update.

This account will be for my travel and exploration videos and the new channel @steveeasontech will be for gear reviews/UA-cam tips/encouragement, etc. And if you ever want to do some collaboration I'd be happy to join you on something.

Great video, congrats on your first month! I learned the hard way to do short sections of video and edit together, the one long piece was way too large of a file and impossible for me to edit. lol I like the idea of the retirement money ideas and the stroll down memory lane nostalgia too. I hope you and your co-host are ok after your fall. ;-)

@@whatsupboomer1958 Catching the fall would have been good, not going lie, I have a three stooges sense of humor, so a fall especially my own, makes me laugh! I fell once helping an old neighbor shovel snow, went down on my back and lay there laughing, ended up making a snow angel! lol My publishing endeavors...my website and blog by the same name. I have a journal tab that takes you to view journals and kids activity books that I make and sell on Amazon. It's my creative outlet I need. I'm hoping my youtube looks after the helping people outlet that I need, time will tell! lol I do envy your natural way of being on your channel, I still feel awkward, I just need more practice and I'll get there. Ok enough of the book I seem to be writing, back to my Friday blog writing chores. Enjoy the rest of your day!

I wasn't pushing my channel. I figured I get serious after New Year, so I'm just having fun. Doing different challenges.
People don't really need to start out with a niche because it changes as you figure out what you really want to do so don't be in a hurry. Let your channel evolve. Untill you're more sure of where you wanna go pivot, but have fun
If you want to make something with UA-cam, you have to make it a job but it doesn't mean it has to be a exhausting frustrating job. It's already tough enough when there's so much you don't know and you're learning anyways keep bringing out the great videos so we can keep watching them.

Agree ... seems it's good advice by those that have done it to allow the audience to determine what it is the niche becomes. And that happens over time.

You are doing better than I am with you tube. I have been posting pretty regularly for about a year and I have about 300 subscribers. It is pretty mysterious to me. I think I have a really bad stage presence and personality. I find this really time consuming and therefore don’t at all aim for perfection.
