this game is a good example of how kill count doesn't mean carrying because i pretty much did nothing (and stopped playing seriously in the middle), yet the stats say I did more work.
The worst experience with that I had was a guy prolonging Lock and Load to a half an hour run. After we cleared the locks he proceded to slooowly clear both enemy bases, however because he was loosing most of his units it took forever, ofc pinged me for not helping with that, and I just pinged back the lock position which he was refusing to stand on. To finish the game he typed gg noob, and had much higher score ofc. I was so mad :D
@@igororeskovic4586 I think everyone had that kind of run at least once on this map. 😁 It happened to me a few days ago with a Vorazun "ally" : I carried him hard, he was really slow to help for captures and then he had to make himself feel good by destroying both enemy bases. The game lasted 25 minutes instead of 17-18 (I think it was in B+1).
I agree with both of you, that players perhaps underrate the difficulty of this mutation, I know I do, and that it's difficulty score is overrated, definitely doesn't feel like a b+4. I usualy play mutations with the same ally and honestly we both agreed that conflagration, which is b+1 was harder for us than this. We did this with Mengsk + p1 Karax and P3 Karax + P3 Stukov buldoze. With Mengsk I couldn''t reach the last 2 trashers with esos because of the nukes but the zerg + trooper spam finished the job without much issues.. In the second combination I played Karax. I ran around the map with a probe and made static everywhere to speed up Stukov's progress, most static was nuked but it didn't even matter because with P3 I could hold the waves pretty easily and consistently, with topbars only, enemies aren't stronger.. We thought that the zombies will have Karaxes Unity Barrier protection but they don't, also didn't matter much, just lasted longer.. To sum it up I would rate both this mutation and conflagration b+2 :D
How is a ranking Brutal +X determined? Is every mutator assigned to a number, and their sum determines the rank? What about "synergies" of mutators, meaning individual mutators might not be dangerous, but combined they are challenging (i.e. fatal attraction & self destruction)? Are they considered for the final ranking? Would love to know that. Thank you :)
Hi! You're right : there is a difficulty point system. Each mutator has a set number of points (from 1 to 10) and each brutal+ level has a threshold and a ceiling in total points. From brutal+1 to brutal+4, we always get 2 to 3 mutators per game ; so for example, we cannot get any 6-point mutator in brutal+1 because its ceiling is at 6 points and there has to be a least a second mutator. You'll find much more information on the SC2 Coop site - resource pages (no link because I think that's why my first comment was striked).

Tychus said it best, "BOOM, baby!"
