@jimbob1644 baloney. I proved dispensational lies as error over 40 years ago. You have no clue why its even wrong. Instead of choosing to have a conversation, all you can do is falsely accuse. I know who your father is.
@jimbob1644 read the historic view. Then read these to begin with... The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it. Luke 16:16 Cont.
Well said. Ugh I'm so tired of all the pastors in my town pushing dispensationlism. My husband and I were pushed out of our bible study for refuting dispensationlism. We are alone in our small arizona town in regards to correct biblical exegesis. We don't have it all figured out, but we know truth. We listen to Chuck baldwin quite a bit. Glad we found your channel Thanks so much.
Oh boy. You and your husband are on the right track. There is history with this. And if your husband and you are ready. I can share some resources. Spiritual and or Historical.
I empathize. I know what it is like to be kicked out of small groups and church gatherings for holding on to the truths of what the Scriptures teach and for not accepting the lies which are permeating today's modern market-driven "churches."
How wonderful to find you! I am with Calvary and was saved only a year ago. But I'm having issues with "We stand with Israel, no matter what!" That stance does not sit right with me. You are helping me reconcile it and still stay a Christian.
Great message. I am searching to see if this theology is biblical. I am a old lady but I am seriously questioning Zionism and everything I have been taught. Finding the truth is painful and I hate giving up the rapture. I am committed to the truth and asking Jesus to show me…
As one who also-, can I say 'drank the coolaid' of dispensationalism in the early 1970s----it feels like a liberation to have taken off those spectacles and come to see biblical truth more clearly. May God continue to use you, Steve, to help the church get their thinking straight on this topic--and others too.
Thank you so much Steve. I have been telling my christian friends the same thing. They look at me like I'm crazy..when I 1st became a Christian I thought all Jews believed in Jesus till my unsave friend told me that the Jews are unbelievers. And ever since then i searched the bible to see what it says about them. And I came to the same reasoning as you. Not only is the world attacking our beliefs but so do a huge percentage of Christians. Thanks for all you do..
The Jews are no longer a chosen people since they crucified Christ in AD 31 and the stoning of Stephen in AD 34. They would not be saved as a nation but individually only if they accept Jesus Christ as the Messiah.
@PD-iu9bn The dispensational system never existed in any mainline Church prior to 1800, though some tie the idea back to the Jesuit Robero around 1500.
@@Durnyful The distinction between Israel and the church, and the idea that God’s program of restoration and redemption is happening in stages, is CLEARLY taught in the Bible. It’s so hard to miss that you have to be taught a different hermeneutic in order to make the mistake.
The Israel that God loves according to the holy scriptures is the Israel of God that St Paul wrote about which is the church consisting of Jews and Gentiles.
Where does Paul ever clearly assert that the church is the Israel of God? Are you referring to Gal 6:16. In Gal 6:16 Paul is pronouncing a blessing on members of 2 different groups who follow the rule of salvation through faith alone. The first group is to those of the uncircumcision, the gentile christians who are those whom the epistle is largely directed to. But there is a second group who are the Israel of God. These are the circumcision, those who are *jewish* believers. This Israel of God is in contrast to those jewish teachers who were the Judaizers who were asserting one had to keep the law to be justified. There is nothing in this passage nor in any other NT passage that teaches that the church is the Israel of God or some kind of spiritual Israel. Rom 9:6 is another “proof” text christians use but neither “Israel” in that passage refers to the church at all. Paul is speaking of ethnic Israel (those who were physical descendants of Jacob) and “spiritual” Israel who are simply believing jews, similar to the Israel of God mentioned in Gal 6:16. The context has nothing to do with the church at all.
The gentiles are grafted into Israel who has rejected God's promised Messiah Romans 9-11. The dividing wall of hostility has been destroyed and the two (Jews and gentiles) have been made one in Christ Ephesians 2:11-3:13. These scriptures make it clear that the Jews and gentiles are now one people in Christ. Those outside of Christ, whether Jew or gentile, are excluded from New Covenant which is the only Covenant in effect since Jesus death and resurrection.
@@JaguerRhye”those that bless Israel we be blessed” not exact I know to lazy to look it up. So so you approve of the ongoing genocide in Gaza (as openly admitted to by Amir tsarfati)? Slash do you support the attack on the USS liberty and 9/11?
Those that bless ABRAM is what it says, but somewhere in history people started saying I srael. Through Abraham's seed(those descendants/all people who are putting faith on C hrist. Gen.12: 1 -3 Now the LORD said to ABRAM “Go from your country and your kindred...And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you(Abram), and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” @@RRYYAANNK7
@@JaguerRhye The "physical descendants of Jacob" argument is a several thousand year old canard. Just how much of Jacob's DNA do you imagine someone two thousand years later during Jesus' time might have? Intermixing started from the beginning, even in Egypt, into the desert wandering, and even more during the time of the judges and kings. This is what is clearly recorded in the OT. How about today four thousand years after Jacob? In order to misuse that language in the Bible one has to also believe that God made promises to non believers. Did God's Mosaic Covenant extend to those born a descendant of Jacob but left the nation, or those who openly rebelled against Gods word? It takes a fanatical, pre-existing and subjective faith in a group of humans rather than an objective faith in God to believe such things.
I watched the first half of this. I largely agree with you. Although I have never been a dispensationalist, in the past I have been taught some misconceptions about Israel. Nineteen years ago I began reading the Scriptures from beginning to end over and over, and sharing what the Lord was teaching me through them, and I had some unlearning to do and some new learning that took place, and this is when the Lord really began to awaken me to the truth about Israel (biblical truth) and he had me begin writing about it. But as soon as I began to write about it I got ground up, got called a heretic, and had some people saying I should be put to death for what I was teaching. And I can't really say I have had much at all in the way of support at all from anyone since then, but mostly rebuke, until just recently, and the support I do have now is very minimal. Oh, and I have been teaching the Scriptures for about 50 years, too. And I am female. Sue Love, almost 74 years of age.
The old covenant is not ‘Judaism’ as the latter is a mixture of talmudism ,torah and kabbalism. The old covenant was of God , Judaism is a Babylonian invention🙏
Just became aware of Steve Gregg recently. What a blessing! I love how graciously and fairly he addresses those with whom he disagrees. It's a lesson to us all.
@@jimbob1644 This isn't the forum for rapid-fire questions. I was a pre-mil dispensationalist for over 20 years. I know all the objections (and even taught them for years). It's when I quit reading the Bible through the dispensational lens that it finally made sense. I hope one day you are able to do the same.
I never heard of this guy and just came across this video here. Jimbob isn't here to see what he wrote. The Spirit Of Prophecy covers against dispensationalism while he's a preacher in real life too.
WHAT AN AMAZING TEACHING !!! Best l hve heard in a long time !! I hve never believed in this dispensational false doctrine !! I always hve believed the way the Bible reads ..none of that pretrib rapture stuff etc. Regarding the prophetic teaching concerning lsrael l had to unlearn and relearn concerning new covenant teaching and old covenant teaching. However, it all makes sense now..
It's so weird watching you now. So many years listening to you on the radio and The Narrow Path and now I get to see you. Thank you so much for teaching in this.
This pastor is answer to so many prayers I believe, he's for sure answer to mine.... I asked God only yesterday to help me, frustrated with dispensation vs preterism agendas...and got great Biblical answer straight day after...God is so great ❤ and it's so enlightening and just - no nation is above God's law and justice - same as individual ppl , but according to this political groups - this nation is above law... killing in the name of ( for sure not God of the Bible) and justify it wickedly with twisting prophesy...
Boy oh Boy. You hit it right on the nail. I never understood why Pastors like Hagee and Perry Stone send money to Israel a people who doesn’t want to here the name Jesus.
Who is arguing that modern day Israel is currently in covenant with God? They have rejected Messiah. The time of Jacob’s Trouble will be used to draw the nation of Israel to God.
I am so thrilled to find this. I disavowed the pretrib rapture a number of years back when I could not find it in the scriptures. It upset some friends and family. Then the attack on October 7th got me thinking and I found myself not falling for the giving Israel a blank check...everything they do is correct. Was also horrified with hearing Christians saying all Palestinians should die. Did some research and I found I had been pretty much a Christian Zionist. To change from that is not easy because you feel guilt. Its been a difficult month shedding dispensational beliefs. I did not even realize until watching this that I was also a dispensationalist. Yikes ! Thank you Steve.

I "found" Chuck Baldwin last year following the Oct 7 attack and it saved me and my faith. I could not justify the Evangelical / Zionist ways of thinking with Christ' teachings. I have learned so much and am at perfect peace accepting that I might lose church contacts and friends. Prayers for all who don't know Jesus🙏🙏🙏
Reformed theology provides a way for "evangelicals" to fit in with the Democrats (in hating Israel). The most anti-Semitic people in the world are Reformed theologians and Democrats, excuse the tautology. These birds are all pious but voted for Biden so Biden could help preserve Roe v. Wade. That is who you have fallen in with.
I felt the same way. I didn't understand the church's cold hearts and their views after October 7. I found myself standing alone praying to God for help and guidance. I didn't understand dispensationalism or its existence until I encountered Chuck Baldwin's life-saving video. God answered my prayer.
I have listened to you Steve for only about 15 minutes and I hear a lot of Quotes pertaining to I I I, The scriptures are understood by the power of the Holy Spirit and not from within ourselves, that is why there are so many who are mislead with false doctrine!
No, if he was, he would not have bailed out on a discussion we were having on his teaching. When he realized that I wasn't falling for his to attempt to trap me with sophomoric questions, he quit!
I greatly appreciate your position on current events. I am glad that more people are awakening to the errors and dangers of dispensationalism. It’s a war mongering religion…that said, I have compassion for those who are part of it because they are blind. I came out of it about 10 years ago. My father is a minister and I was brought up with these beliefs. I have tried multiple times to speak to my parents about this issue but I don’t think I will ever get through to them, unfortunately. I think it is necessary to recognize that Christian Zionism is quite possibly “the strong delusion” of scripture. I don’t like it anymore than you do, but that has become my belief at this point in time. I think it is necessary to recognize that Hamas was created by Israel to be an opposition to Yasser Arafat and the PLO. This is a fact. With that in mind, it could be seen as controlled opposition and the events of October 7th could simply have been done to give Israel a reason to do what they are now doing. There is a speech that Netanyahu gave at the UN in September of 2023 referencing “greater Israel”. He spoke of peace but that is not the message he gave over all. It is also important to recognize what the Noahide laws are and the fact that they have been inserted into US law. There is an agenda here. It’s important for Christians to realize that. You need to research these things because things are not as they appear. Prophecy has been so twisted at this point that no one even recognizes it. If you want to know what revelation really says, please search David Nikao Wilcoxsen on UA-cam. He has combed the manuscripts of the church fathers so we don’t have to do it. These men of faith had understanding that has been lost. Pray for understanding and listen to his videos. They are truly a gift to believers at this point in time. You must challenge your beliefs however so you are teachable. It is possible to see what is happening. When you do, you understand how evil Christian Zionism is.
Here you are! I have listened to you on eschatology 35 years ago, then a decade ago. Not studied myself. And, here we are in this season of world shaking.. SURROUNDED by dispensationalists and futurists...and I am shaking my head thinking, I don't agree with this. Just found you, looking forward to catching up with your current insights
Welcome! You can hear Steve's daily radio program and hundreds of lectures at www.thenarrowpath.com in addition to the videos on this UA-cam channel and The Narrow Path channel.
17:57 - I heard similar a few weeks ago., a dear brother almost said this word for word "If there I have to go through the tribulation I'm not sure that the deal I signed up for". I was shocked, I got saved so God would deal with my sin and I am sure he did also but his sentiment was laughable.
Maybe your friend was a bit off however thinking this view of eschatology is laughable is really pretty pathetic. Covent/Replacement Theology believers sound hostile to a Christian wide different interpretation of the end times.
Wow, someone finally teaching what the Bible really says. Dispensationalism is the worst teaching that came to Christians. When politicians use their office to fulfill prophecy, and say God did it will be like Abraham and Hagar.
I got saved on May 4, 1988. I went to a Calvary Chapel conference where all the pastors were saying midnight on Dec 31 would be very 'interesting '. I still have the cassettes (somewhere) from the conference. Oh well...
I was saved in 1980 Calvary Chapel Denver I know what you mean prophecy is very complex, but that doesn’t mean covenant theology has all the right answers. Keep the faith Jesus did raise from the dead check out 21st-century science on the shroud of Turin peace and love with you brother.
Thanks for uploading so quickly. I do hope all who listen to your message will always be asking the question, “what does the Bible say, not the newspaper nor necessarily even someone from the pulpit. After all, isn’t that what we should always ask, and not simply on this topic but on most everything.
Yeah, but I didn't hear one single Bible verse or the gospel. Just repeating the doctrines of men, blah, blah, blah Nelson Darby, what a bunch of Evangelical indoctrination. Harpazo, Rapturo its in the latin and greek source manuscripts of the Holy Bible KJB 1611.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 KJB is the mystery rapture, a comfort, as revealed to Paul by Jesus Christ himself. Matthew 24 is written to Jews during the tribulation regarding the day of the LORD Amos 5:18 says nobody should long for the terrible day of the LORD. So which is it? A comfort or a terrible day of judgment?
@@christopherpeterson6004 of the rapture - “we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the LAST trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed…” 1 Cor 15:51-52. If Mathew 24 is not written for us now, but instead is for some future time and people after the “rapture” then the Word if God is compromised because the trumpet of Corinthians 15 cannot be the last trumpet as Christ tells us that after the tribulation He will return and His angels will be sent out with a “loud trumpet call”. Wake up brother, don’t let your biblical framework blind you to the truth.
@@simonbutcher8534 Thank you for responding with a specific scripture reference. The Word of God is never compromised: therefore we need to trust in the Holy Bible and if anything contradicts the Bible or if the Bible contradicts itself - we need to destroy that false copy of that bible. That being said - the Holy Bible KJB does not say it is a "trumpet" - instead it says precisely and in direct contradiction within the same sentence - "at the last trump", followed by the definition: "for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed." This is the rapture, where we are caught UP! and will be forever with the Lord. incorruptible
“For I tell you, from now on, you will not see me again until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of Adonai.’”” Mattityahu (Mat) 23:39 CJB These words of Yeshua seems to be ignored by every, every teacher of eschatology/end times/the Lords return etc. When the Jews cry out those very words “blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord” is spoken-look up “for your redemption draws nigh”♥️🙏.
1:12:40ish ““For this is the covenant I will make with the house of Isra’el after those days,” says Adonai: “I will put my Torah within them and write it on their hearts; I will be their God, and they will be my people. No longer will any of them teach his fellow community member or his brother, ‘Know Adonai’; for all will know me, from the least of them to the greatest; because I will forgive their wickednesses and remember their sins no more.”” Yirmeyahu (Jer) 31:32-33 CJB “In saying first, “You neither willed nor were pleased with animal sacrifices, meal offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings,” things which are offered in accordance with the Torah; and then, “Look, I have come to do your will”; he takes away the first system in order to set up the second. It is in connection with this will that we have been separated for God and made holy, once and for all, through the offering of Yeshua the Messiah’s body.” Messianic Jews (Heb) 10:8-10 CJB Obviously, we are not, not, fully under the new covenant. Otherwise, you nor anybody else would be teaching “know the Lord for all would know him”. ““Every month on Rosh Chodesh (new moon)and every week on (Adonai’s) Shabbat, everyone living will come to worship in my presence,” says Adonai.” Yesha 'yahu (Isa) 66:23 CJB In God’s kingdom to come all the Saints will again worship him on His sacred day. I also believe that is when we will be taught by his enlightened ones in all things, and finally the new covenant will be fulfilled by being transferred from our head to our heart.
Great stuff, everybody ! Steve Gregg, great story - UA-cam algorithm fed me your video. My experience is parallel to yours Steve but I was in San Diego, in a Calvary Chapel. They were SO prevalent & influential in So Cal then ! But after about 7 predicted Rapture + / or 2nd coming FAILS (by 1995 or so) the wife & I agreed strongly that some mistaken base theological assumptions were embedded in the preaching. We asked God to correct the false teachings & He did ! At that point we didn't even know to call it "Dispensationalism", similar to like a Democrat today can be clueless it's really Marxism they believe lol. Anyhow, God brought another ex Calvary Chapel Pastor Rich Agozino to KBRT Christian Talk Radio LA in similar fashion - Rich was embarrassed at the repeated FAILS that our Calvary Chapel churches would engage in, then ignore. Pastor Rich began interviewing many Preterist + Postmillennial Scholars, Pastors & Teachers on talk radio Weekday afternoons and we ALL got SCHOOLED. Long story short, we returned to the "Puritain Hope" that the great Charles Spurgeon preached from & that the Reformational Scholars like Luther, Calvin and both English Pilgrims & Puritans taught, that the Kingdom is in it's early stages now, being Administered by God the Father, thru Jesus Christ the KING 👑 of kings LORD of lords, via the Holy Spirit, to both convert individuals to Him & entire Nations to obey the Gospel. Psalm 2, 22, 72, 110 & 149 lay it out poetically & beautifully. Isaiah 9:7 & 1 Corinthians 15 give the overall timeline. There are lots of great teachers along these lines. Pastor Chuck Baldwin (now of Liberty Fellowship in Kila Montana) is also a great teacher & resource for study. I'd reference the late & great Godly Dr RC Sproul as one fabulous teacher too His 13 part series, free on UA-cam, "The Last Days According to Jesus" is the penultimate exegesis that we NEVER heard at Calvary Chapel, but should have: ua-cam.com/play/PL30acyfm60fWm9jA8LNRnYizJj5VEduus.html&si=9liQiuyKlnnCKJTr HALLELUJAH, now we can. Look it up you won't regret it. Also Dr Ken Gentry's amazing presentation "The Beast of Revelation Identified" is the best 2.5 hour introduction to a partial Preterist, Postmillennial view point, in one modest chunk: ua-cam.com/video/Sy7cEW4MJac/v-deo.htmlsi=KfTDC4PsTRrYrN2n I have about 6' of book shelf that Dr Gentry manages to put into that program. Truth is, UA-cam has made all these teaching resources available more readily, but buying the books that have the deep research is also a great idea.
As one who also-, can I say 'drank the coolaid' of dispensationalism in the early 1970s----it feels like a liberation to have taken off those spectacles and come to see biblical truth more clearly. I concur . Was attending a small church in Simi Valley California in my early 20s . Some of us would drive to Calvary Chapel for the concerts and listen to Chuck Smith . Attended many other churches since then and have learned much . I think what you’re saying is important for all believers . God Bless !
Various concepts, ideas, constructs, forms, disciplines, and positions of "Dispensationalism" existed long before J. N. Darby! That is a fact. For starters, see "Ancient Dispensational Truth" by Morris and "Dispensationalism Before Darby" by Watson... there are a myriad of other reputable, dependable, proven resources evidencing this fact.
@@OvercomeComeOverit’s not a good argument to make cheap swipes. The covenantal position in baptism is worth investigating. However I am fully behind this presentation. I am deeply concerned for those Israeli- Palestinian believers who have been dumped by western Christians who arrogantly take the dispensational position. We don’t know everything without error.only God is like this
@@revdrjack14 there was nothing "cheap" about my statement, no cheap shot was intended. I've read comments stating that the word "dispensation" is in the Bible, so, that's why I should take Dispensational teaching seriously. My point with this particular comment was simply: you may trace something back but that's not Biblical proof. Why you decided to attack me for my statement only you and God knows. I do hope and pray your day be blessed.
I appreciate your presentation. and I can relate, I was raised a modern Baptist then in CC costa mesa for years and never new of any alternatives to the dispensational eschatology and Arminian soteriology, So thankful to see things better now.. Who do believe is being spoken of as the "he" in Dan 9:27? This difference between what the old theologians thought and post Darby theologians is what caught my attention and started my investigation. Blessings
The dominion of the whole earth has been given to Christ thus HE is the inheritor of Israel's mountains: Isa 65:9 And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains: and mine elect shall inherit it, and my servants shall dwell there.
Completely apart from this man. . I have been teaching this on UA-cam to anyone who would listen for years. . My eye opening experience is realizing that there are also others. . For several years. . I thought i was all alone. . Reading the word for yourself. . Without anyone to guide you. .it leads to this understanding. . This is what it means to walk with God. And why so many fall away to the errors of dispensation that is taught by many. . It's a doctrine for a tickling ear. . And it's what's everywhere out there amongst the false prophets. But one who actually reads the scriptures for themselves. . Believing God. . Will come to the same conclusion this man has. I know. Because i came to it myself completely separate from him or anyone else.
@@DanteAvon No. What it means is that the word of God is right. And those who call another people apart from Christ "chosen". Only can believe that word if they have rejected God's.
@user-bz7ok3yl7z Because that's what the word says. . This is how Satan has infiltrated this generation of people. He has made something simple, turn into something complicated to them. Making them doubt the first thing and replacing it instead with the second thing. An example i speak about all the time. When you tell a child something simple. Such as. "Jesus is God. God's people believe in Jesus" they would believe it. Thus if you tell them, "those people do not believe in Jesus, are they God's people?" What will their answer be? Emphatically no. . But what we do. . Or. . Men who claim themselves to be wise made to be foolish. Is say. . "Jesus is God. God's people believe in Jesus" when we ask the "wise" they answer. . "Yes God's people believe in Jesus. So those people over there do not believe in Jesus, are they God's people too?" Yes say the wise. . This generation tries to do algebra. . Without first learning how to add and subtract. It cannot see the forest because it fixated on one tree. It cannot see past the tip of their own nose. And it's been taught as a tradition. Passed down. For these 200 years. Making it very hard for those who are snared inside of the "wisdom" trap, to exit it. This is why Jesus told the rich man to go and sell everything. . Then he would be able to follow. . This generation refuses to sell away the lie. . They become beholden to it. It's too hard to give up. So they just keep doubling down on it. It's the sin of pride. . They treat the church as if it's a "side chick". God was married to the Jews. . He's going away for a little while to another woman. . But don't worry. . He'll be back. . They make God into an adulterer. Because they themselves are adulterers. God makes them show their hypocrisy so that all may see it. . All who love the truth.
I get a real kick out of people who are against dispensationalism when the word dispensation is found in the scriptures. Rightly dividing the wod of God is important to know who it is taking to and who it applies to. Here is just one example David in the psalms prayed for the Lord to not take his Holy Spirit from him. Nobody that has been born again should ever pray that prayer because we are sealed by the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption. Now I am not saying not to ask for the fullness of the Holy Spirit but simply that we are his and he will never leave us or forsake us because when he purchaces us with his own blood that is when the Holy spirit takes residence in the believer. No one in the old testament was born again . This also isnt to say that everyone who believes in dispensationalism is always rightly dividing the word of truth. The Kingdom of heaven is not the same as the Kingdom of God. One is physical and one is spiritual. The bible says the kingdom of God dwelleth in you. Its not Christs Physical Kingdom that dwells in us but his spiritual kingdom through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. We are not baptized unto Johns baptism. Our baptism is not to make our way strait because the kingdom ofheaven is at hand. You read in the book of Mathew if thy right han offend thee cut it off or if thy right eye offend thee pluck it out it is better to have one hand than two to be cast into hell fire..Now if you think this applies to you then tell me where are all the one eyed christians or one handed ones? dont spiritualise this brother he is talking about swift judgment when he sets up his earthly kingdom. Need more proof? If thou say unto thy brother Raca thou shall be in danger of the council.WHAT COUNCIL? DONT YOU DARE SPIRITUALISE THIS TO FIT YOUR OWN NARATIVE ! But if thou say to thy brother tho fool thou shall be in danger of hell fire. Swift judgement carried out by the Lord Jesus when he set up rulers and coucils to carry out his judgments when he sit on his throne in Jeruselem. This may apply to us in princpal but when it is that specific it dosnt apply to us doctrinally at all. It is talking about a different time period a different dispensastion.
Every Christian is a dispensationalist. They just don't know what to call it. As soon as Steve and others start building a temple and sacrificing lambs then we will see that they really dont believe in Dispensationalism. All Christians know that God has dealt with people in distinct ways through history. Pre fall disp 1. Adam to Christ disp 2. Christ 1 to 2nd coming disp 3. Eternity disp 4.
@@steveluibrand7174 What if the entirety of God's people (Pre-Sinai, the Temple periods, post-Chirst) could be summed up as all those (Jew and Gentile) who have believed His promises? Just an idea.
*_David in the psalms prayed for the Lord to not take his Holy Spirit from him. Nobody that has been born again should ever pray that prayer_* David was born again.
Was there a concept of the 7 year tribulation period in the early church, or did that concept only arise with dispensationalism and their (mis)interpretaion of Dan 9:27?
@SteveGreggVideos The "roots" are in the Jesuit works of Lacunza and Ribera ... Irving translated Ribera into English Darby read Irving Then systemized Roman Catholic counter reformation doctrine another Jesuit invented 70 AD preterism Rome covered BOTH bases
Im a dispensationalist and i dont believe Jack Hibbs is a dispensationalist. There must be more than one view of what a dispensationalist is because this speaker seems to have different views of than what I believe. I also never thought of J. Vernon Mcgee as being dispensational.
If you have a question, Steve has mostly likely answered it on his radio show. www.matthew713.com/ has a topical and searchable index of all calls he's taken on his program, The Narrow Path, where he gives in depth answers.
Darby was not the first Dispensationalist, the Apostle Paul was the first. Paul was not a "wimp". He was one of the most incredible people in history...past or present. Dispensationalism is a big tent. It's not fair to bring discredit upon Dispensationalism because of the many people that misinterpret the Bible. Why you think Christians will go through the 7 yr Tribulation "for Jesus" is rather bizarre. Why would Jesus do that to his people? The Tribulation is a punishment. There's a reason it is also called "Jacob's Troubles", that's because Jacob's people turned away from God.
I absolutely love Steve Gregg but he's wrong about the early church. For the first roughly 400 years of church history the church fathers were unmistakably premillennial. They may not have been dispensational (although they sure do sound like it when you're reading them) but they were without doubt premillennial. And Darby didn't invent the pre-trib rapture doctrine. It may have been a minority view but it was clearly mentioned by Irenaeus of Lyons in the second century. There may be no such thing as the pre-trib rapture, I personally don't care: but it was mentioned and discussed in the early church, and it cannot be ignored that the overwhelming majority of the early church fathers were in fact premillennial. Just Go read them for yourself. Again, I absolutely love Steve, and he may not have meant it the way I'm taking it, and if so I apologize and retract. But if I am understanding his claim correctly then he's just plain wrong on that point. I love him anyway and just subscribed. God bless you Steve and all the brethren.
i remember the 67 war and we (many of us) thought it was a miracle and we were on the verge of israel coming to Christ. by the time of late great planet earth, i was beginning to have 2nd thoughts and by 1975 had left the belief of dipyism
It is amazing how you get from A to Z in your biblical understanding of the end times. It is equally amazing to try to unravel you concept of consequential results that you imagine because of dispensational doctrine. If ever there was a flaw based on human reasoning you guys are right up there. Your old early misunderstandings of doctrine without any humility when faced with overwhelming scholarship leaves you moving farther and farther from biblical foundations so clearly disclosed in the book of Romans. Your childish thoughts concerning how we are viewing this current Hamas/Israel problem is a case in point. Informed dispensationalist do not see Christ coming for His church next Friday or at the latest the following Monday etc. The Lord said no one knows so that's it. It could be tomorrow or many generations from tomorrow. A Christian should be prepared for hell on earth and even death for his faith which has nothing to do with the second coming of Chrisy. We certainly are not dispensational in the expectation of escaping the results of living in a country that has completely turned from God. Hell on earth seems to be coming closer as time lingers on which may or may not have any direct relationship to Christs return. The more I listen to you it seems that you have many wrong impressions concerning dispensational doctrine. It might be helpful to read some more balanced dispensational understandings. Just like your old doctrinal theories have undergone many changes and additions and nuanced movements [based on all the materials which I have read and heard over the last 40 or so years] there has been good basic theological truths uncovered. I hope you don't take the Mormon position of refusing to see that these changes have taken place. The dispensational position is very clearly evidenced in scripture. Any intellectually honest person can see the clear reasoning and understandings based on literal, contextual, historical, grammatical and logical understanding of the human mind. We certainly apply these precepts to your understandings. We just simply cannot get to your position from reading those same scriptures. Your conclusions are a bridge too far for us. They simply do not make any reasonable or logical sense to the whole of scripture. Lord bless all who long to know and serve Him.
If you want literal, contextual, historical, grammatical, and logical interpretation, then dispensationalism doesn't fulfill any of those requirements unless you change the meaning of the words. The promises were already LITERALLY fulfilled (based on historical, grammatical, and logical contexts). Dispensational futurism denies that these promises were literally fulfilled.
There is the nation Israel, the Israeli people and there is the which is also called Israel. Jesus is the church and Believers have been grafted on while the people Israel were cut off by their rejection of Christ as fulfilled in 70AD. I believe that the Israeli people (whoever they REALLY are) will return to Christ before Jesus actually returns But that is just me
No it's not. It is the wrath of Satan. The wrath of God is His DAY of wrath. The DAY of the Lord. Not a week. That wrath is AGAINST those who hated and persecuted HIS true followers... Christians. Jews persecuted Christians.. as do Muslim and Hindu etc
Don't forget that the Bible says that men have to keep there hair short. This is said in the new testament This is not ment to take away from what Gregg is saying, but rather a friendly reminder.
Dispensational patterns in human history were noticed in the Bible by early church fathers. It's a visible pattern, not an interpretation. The spiritually blind need explicit road signs. When storm clouds come, do you need a sign flashing in the sky that tells you it's going to rain or can you figure that out? The Bible is a bit like that. There is no announcement that will satisfy you that tells you one dispensation/age/period ends, and another begins. Wisdom reveals dispensationalism is true, hence why early church fathers noticed it. It's a total lie to say it was 'invented' by Darby. Darby simply coalesced what was already recognized many centuries ago. It's there if you're willing to remove the blinders. This is not a salvation issue, either, but it's an issue that prevents you from fully appreciating God's plan if you refuse to see it. The Bible contains patterns that must be noticed. There are no explicit notifications like you want to see.
FIRST I am grateful to you for the truth Father Yahweh has granted unto you. My testimony is a replica of yours. Keep up the work of spreading THE truth. With this said I have a few convictions ie resolves, in which to share with you . ONE: “Israel” did NOT become a “nation” in 1948 but rather a state at and by the Zionists ie those who say they are Jews and are NOT. It is NOT man that brings YAHS people into the land promised by HIM but by Yah Himself (Jer. 16, 23, and 32:37) . I am resolved that these “Jews” that He will gather from the 4corners of this flat but circular earth of which I am and believe you are as well , WILL be those of the New Jerusalem ie the Kingdom of Yah. As you know, he/she is not a Jew who is one outwardly but IS one inwardly. TWO: Hamas , according to Ron Paul when speaking before congress, both informed and warned them that Hamas was a creation of the hidden inside puppet masters to aid them in eliminating Palestine for their takeover of that land. Not only did they create Hamas they strongly funded it until it has come back like a serpent to bite them in the back side. In fact, the weapons their using highly resemble those we sent to Ukraine , hum!!! Sounds to me like another “inside job” just as several Rabbi’s with inside info are claiming. What they mean is Israeli Governing bodies ALLOWED it to happen. Lotta “inside jobs” these days ,lol but not funny. THIRD: Yahweh has given all authority to His Son to execute judgment on the evil doers and He WILL do this by removing the TARES FIRST and leaving the wheat to remain. He WILL eradicate the “goats” FIRST and leave the sheep to rule and reign with Him (Yeshua) in His NEW JERUSALEM. There is ONLY one Israel and they are those bought by the blood of the Lamb, who’s sin debt is atoned for. HalleluYAH. Thanks for being an instrument in Yahs hands to fortify my convictions and resolves. PS, two people with two differing beliefs as to what is truth , one can be right and the other wrong and both can be wrong BUT both can NOT be right. There is ONLY ONE absolute truth and it IS the quest of every believer to effectually fervently ask Father for it.
1:14:21 this sounds like an unconditional promise 35Thus says the LORD, who gives the sun for light by day and the fixed order of the moon and the stars for light by night, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar- the LORD of hosts is his name: 36“If this fixed order departs from before me, declares the LORD, then shall the offspring of Israel cease from being a nation before me forever.” Jeremiah 31:35-36
@@KeepingWatch95 forever as it pertains to mortals does not mean everlasting. It is only for as long as it last. Since then their chosen nation status expired.

It is crucial that we bless those whom God has blessed so that we in turn may be blessed, that is, Israel. All Israel will be saved. We need to be on the right side in order to survive as a nation.
@@Haliwax88 In Romans 9-11, Israel is the Jews. Reformed Theology is more traditional than exegetical, so they can't see the incongruity of saying God has cut off the Jews in Romans 9:33 and then denying God will save the Jews in Romans 11:26. The name "Israel" means about a half dozen different things in Scripture. We determine that meaning by the context of its usage. Romans 9 and 11 are speaking of the Jews. We shouldn't allow Reformed Theologians to force in to boxes like: "You're saying that the Jews will get saved by another means, er, uh, by animal sacrifices." No, I am not. The Jews who will be wholesale be saved during the Day of the Lord will get saved the same way everybody else gets saved, by believing on the Messiah who they will have seen and recognized. Not so hard if one tries to understand the Scriptures. Silly if one refuses grammatical-historical interpretation. Read Romans 11 and try to substitute the Church or the People of God for all the references about Israel whether noun or pronoun. You will find yourself laughing at the Reformed Theologians with their traditional interpretations like "Jews are Christ-killers." (So were the Italians.)

Hey! Thanks for answering! You know the scriptures. You know that the 6th seal will certainly be opened before the 7th. John numbered them for continuity. All through the OT people were warned by prophets of the coming Day of the Lord. Finally, at the 6th seal, the Day will have begun.

I'm open on the eschatology question. However I'm 50 and have been surrounded by dispensationalists all my life and have never heard even one of them say the things you are saying. Not saying it never happens but it has to be pretty rare.
Actually, it was the common view of the church throughout history until the last 100-200 years, beginning with John Nelson Darby creating the dispensational, followed by the Scofield Reference Bible and Dallas theological popularizing the idea. This view is actually still held the majority of Presbyterian, Reformed, Lutheran churches, and many others outside the west. I (Jason, the channel owner; not Steve Gregg) never heard anything other than premillennial ideas until I was. But there were so many gaps, zigzagging around the Bible for a verse here, and a verse there. There were contradictions, such as "we take prophecy literally, yet soldiers on horses locusts were tanks and fighter jets and Jesus didn't actually come soon. So I knew it wasn't right. So I was intrigued when I heard about the partial preterist/ amillennial view, which just fit with everything in the bible and with history, with no complicated charts and magical 2000 year gaps.
@@JamieElison What response? I have not stopped anything from being posted. Steve is open to all views being discussed and letting people think for themselves. That's what he doesn't with his radio show. That's why in his book, Revelation: Four Views, he gives the 4 major views throughout history and doesn't tell you which view he takes. The promises will be fulfilled when Jesus comes again. The land is still special and Israel is a spiritual people. A nation born in a day is the fulfillment of Zion(heavenly Jerusalem) returning to earth when Jesus himself will rule and reign during the millennial kingdom.
How will Jesus the eternal rule over people that die? During a millennial kingdom on earth as you believe, people will die. How is that compatible with Jesus 'promise? And where is the church? Because it is Christ's body like the saved jewish people as through Jesus they become His body, i.e. the church. So you say the church is in heaven, but Jesus is on earth. The church members say they will be with their Lord forever. So Jesus has a short divorce from His bride to go down to earth for 1000 years?
How is it that someone who taught pre-trib dispensationalism for years could conflate Gods judgment of the world with historic and/or present persecution of the Church? Persecution by the world is promised. Gods future/final judgment is reserved for the world. Love SG. Astonished by this oversight.
People, if his premise is incorrect (which is an extremely easy thing to research out) that it was Darby, (for I have every volume Darby ever wrote and have studied them also for 47 years on the side, and he himself readily admits he is not the founder by any stretch of the imagination ) then do you think you should be more noble than the Thessalonians, and be Bereans and do not listen to Steve on this subject, BUT "STUDY TO SHOW YOURSELVES APPROVED TO God," rather than seeking approval of God through another! Steve, please step back from your statements sir, for they are truly incorrect.
Darby definitely invented the 'rapture' as a separate event in 1830. The zionist theology was first popularised by Darby and later Scofield, but the Jesuit Manuel De Lacunza published an earlier book in the 1700s called "The Coming of the Messiah in Majesty and Glory" (masquerading as a converted jew Ben-Ezra) which was based on another Jesuit's futurist views, Francisco Ribera. If you know other notable Christians that followed this fringe thinking then please list them.
Thank you for this posting. The blessed hope is at the second coming. There is no pre yrib rapture. But today since the left behind series (which is mot scriptural) many are being led astray.
Hi Steve, I am a dispensationalist and I respect that you have different views, however you may want to refrain from charaterising dispensationalism by the worst elements i.e. the sensationalists, the date setters, the unstable "christians" that say - if Israel doesn't win this war then I'm done with Christianity.... because that is just setting up strawmen to easily knock down and make your position seem more rational/correct, but is not a very good Biblical argument. I have studied and listend to a great amount of other eschatological and theological views so im not in an echo chamber and yet I am still a dispensationalist, and yes I believe that the nation of Israel will endure forever as scripture says. Jerimiah 31:31-40 31 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: 32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the Lord: 33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. 34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. 35 Thus saith the Lord, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The Lord of hosts is his name: 36 If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the Lord, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever. 37 Thus saith the Lord; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the Lord. 38 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that the city shall be built to the Lord from the tower of Hananeel unto the gate of the corner. 39 And the measuring line shall yet go forth over against it upon the hill Gareb, and shall compass about to Goath. 40 And the whole valley of the dead bodies, and of the ashes, and all the fields unto the brook of Kidron, unto the corner of the horse gate toward the east, shall be holy unto the Lord; it shall not be plucked up, nor thrown down any more for ever. This prophecy is only in part, fufilled - it is clear that there is yet a future, complete fulfillment Romans 11:25-33 25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. 26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: 27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. 28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the father's sakes. 29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. 30 For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief: 31 Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy. 32 For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all. 33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! God is not done with Israel. How do you deal with these verses? One would have to explain away the obvious..... Peace and grace to you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, amen 🙏

The Jews are no longer a chosen people since they crucified Christ in AD 31 and the stoning of Stephen in AD 34. They would not be saved as a nation but individually only if they accept Jesus Christ as the Messiah.
The majority of Christendom believes what you believe, though. It’s the minority who believe in a distinction between Israel and the church.

@@christopherpeterson6004 please enlighten us then. What part do you want to dispute first? Please don’t forget the Bible verses and context.

@@simonbutcher8534 Thank you for responding with a specific scripture reference. The Word of God is never compromised: therefore we need to trust in the Holy Bible and if anything contradicts the Bible or if the Bible contradicts itself - we need to destroy that false copy of that bible. That being said - the Holy Bible KJB does not say it is a "trumpet" - instead it says precisely and in direct contradiction within the same sentence - "at the last trump", followed by the definition: "for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."
This is the rapture, where we are caught UP! and will be forever with the Lord.
incorruptible
“For I tell you, from now on, you will not see me again until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of Adonai.’””
Mattityahu (Mat) 23:39 CJB

When the Jews cry out those very words “blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord” is spoken-look up “for your redemption draws nigh”♥️🙏.
1:12:40ish ““For this is the covenant I will make with the house of Isra’el after those days,” says Adonai: “I will put my Torah within them and write it on their hearts; I will be their God, and they will be my people. No longer will any of them teach his fellow community member or his brother, ‘Know Adonai’; for all will know me, from the least of them to the greatest; because I will forgive their wickednesses and remember their sins no more.””
Yirmeyahu (Jer) 31:32-33 CJB
“In saying first, “You neither willed nor were pleased with animal sacrifices, meal offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings,” things which are offered in accordance with the Torah; and then, “Look, I have come to do your will”; he takes away the first system in order to set up the second. It is in connection with this will that we have been separated for God and made holy, once and for all, through the offering of Yeshua the Messiah’s body.”
Messianic Jews (Heb) 10:8-10 CJB
Obviously, we are not, not, fully under the new covenant. Otherwise, you nor anybody else would be teaching “know the Lord for all would know him”.
““Every month on Rosh Chodesh (new moon)and every week on (Adonai’s) Shabbat, everyone living will come to worship in my presence,” says Adonai.”
Yesha 'yahu (Isa) 66:23 CJB
In God’s kingdom to come all the Saints will again worship him on His sacred day.
I'd reference the late & great Godly Dr RC Sproul as one fabulous teacher too

Also Dr Ken Gentry's amazing presentation "The Beast of Revelation Identified" is the best 2.5 hour introduction to a partial Preterist, Postmillennial view point, in one modest chunk:

Various concepts, ideas, constructs, forms, disciplines, and positions of "Dispensationalism" existed long before J. N. Darby! That is a fact. I agree on what he said about wanting to escape trouble in the pre-trib rapture, but not all dispensationalists believe in a pre-trib rapture.
That doesn’t mean you are right
@@DanteAvon No. What it means is that the word of God is right. And those who call another people apart from Christ "chosen". Only can believe that word if they have rejected God's.
How do you know you are interpreting it correctly
Great lesson, thank you Steve! ❤❤❤
These guys don't understand this because they don't HEAR GODS WORDS

As soon as Steve and others start building a temple and sacrificing lambs then we will see that they really dont believe in Dispensationalism. If you have a question, Steve has mostly likely answered it on his radio show. www.matthew713.com/ has a topical and searchable index of all calls he's taken on his program, The Narrow Path, where he gives in depth answers.
Why would you say that dispensationalism don't believe that Jesus is the fulfillment of prophecy? That's simply not true.
I truly agree with brother... i recall the Gospel of Matthew chp 15 v 14.
So let me get this straight ... the people in Israel aren't really Israel ?
There is the nation Israel, the Israeli people and there is the which is also called Israel.
Jesus is the church and Believers have been grafted on while the people Israel were cut off by their rejection of Christ as fulfilled in 70AD.
I believe that the Israeli people (whoever they REALLY are) will return to Christ before Jesus actually returns
But that is just me
I'm not concerned with dispensationilism, I'm focused on fulfilled bible prophesy, which some people dont know or dont bother to read their bibles!
There is a difference between tribulation of the saints from man and the great tribulation which is the wrath of God.
No it's not. It is the wrath of Satan. The wrath of God is His DAY of wrath. The DAY of the Lord. Not a week. That wrath is AGAINST those who hated and persecuted HIS true followers... Christians. Jews persecuted Christians.. as do Muslim and Hindu etc

This is not ment to take away from what Gregg is saying, but rather a friendly reminder.
So you're biblical proof for these dispensations is 1. They're not mentioned in the Bible. 2. You're blind if you don't see them.
Got it.
Really well spoken, @steveybesma
@@Stoneington Thank you
FIRST I am grateful to you for the truth Father Yahweh has granted unto you.
1:14:21 this sounds like an unconditional promise

from before me, declares the LORD,
then shall the offspring of Israel cease
from being a nation before me forever.” Jeremiah 31:35-36

It is crucial that we bless those whom God has blessed so that we in turn may be blessed, that is, Israel. All Israel will be saved. We need to be on the right side in order to survive as a nation.
Who is Israel?

NOTHING in history that the church has lived through, has EVER been the wrath of God. God is going to remove His church before He pours out His wrath. Hint: the entire 70th week is God's wrath simply because God will open the 6th seal to begin God's wrath before He will open the 7th seal to begin the tribulation.
That's a lot of story telling with no scripture

Jerimiah 31:31-40

32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the Lord:
33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
35 Thus saith the Lord, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The Lord of hosts is his name:
36 If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the Lord, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever.

26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the father's sakes.
29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
30 For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:
31 Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.
