Some have expressed concerns about publishing this and other visions, when they align with scriptural warnings, such as those in Doctrine and Covenants Section 1, and are reflected in various General Conference talks given by Church leaders warning of future events. While some individuals claim these visions have been debunked, no concrete evidence has ever been provided. It’s thought-provoking to compare these criticisms with Church history and other materials that similarly rely on third-party sources. These visions will remain available, with more to come, allowing individuals to reflect and evaluate them in light of prophecy, doctrine, and Church counsel. Some individuals have claimed connections to Church leadership but offer vague descriptions of their relationships, which is typical of those who may be dishonest. If Church leadership genuinely wishes to see the removal of this or any other vision, please provide a link via a post on this channel to an official signed document by a member of the First Presidency or one of the Twelve Apostles, and it will be promptly removed. The signed document will not be made public, as all comments are moderated before publishing. Christ stated: know if something/ someone is truthful by the bad or evil tree bearing bad fruit and the good tree bearing good fruit. A "prophecy" of murky origin that causes nothing but pessimism, hope-destroying depression and feeling utterly helpless, "DOOMED" by the outlook of the story no matter HOW one strives to Do Right and be Christlike and caring toward all, IS OBVIOUSLY BEARING ONLY EVIL FRUIT. @@Chris-qp9biI'm sorry you found it so frightening. I think it all depends on how you look at it, though. I listen to this and do not find my hope destroyed, nor do I feel absolutely helpless or doomed. I find it a sobering reminder to stay close to the Lord, and to actively choose Him over worldly things. To roughly paraphrase a quote I heard, the Lord makes the rain to fall on the wicked and the righteous, but faith in the Lord and following His servants give you an umbrella. One may get a little damp (depending on the extent of one's needs for personal humbling) but one will always be spiritually safe by having and following the Holy Ghost in one's life. 🩷

First and foremost, open your heart to recieve your own personal revelation through the Holy Ghost so that God could show you what is true or not.
There is a comment about the word “cars” being used when John Taylor did not live to see them. Today we use the word “Car” to refer to an automobile, but back in the 1870s and beyond the word “car” referenced street cars, trolleys, etc., horse drawn or the upcoming electric. (I’m currently researching 1870s technology for a novel, and the word “car” repeatedly comes up in reference to street cars & trolley.). “Cars” could also refer to train cars. We gotta be careful not to interpret the past (cultural, mentality, vocabulary, etc.) through a 21st century lense.
“The word "car" comes from the Latin word carrus or carrum, which means "wheeled vehicle". It also comes from the Middle English word carre, which means "two-wheeled cart". Both words come from the Gaulish word karros, which means "chariot". The word "car" originally referred to any wheeled vehicle that was pulled by horses, such as a wagon, carriage, or cart.” -Quote from Google definition of the origin of the word car.
I am a member of the church, and I believe these words of desolation are befitting the prophets of old: Isa chapter 10, desolation spoken of by Daniel I chapter 9, and Jeremiah chapter 25. they fit the description and see the turmoil the world is in. John Taylor denide having theis vision. Christian Homestead has a video on this. That said this is a vision Wilford Woodruff had a secratary transcribe. The original author is unknown. I feel there is a lot to it but, use discretion
This is false, he himself refuted it. He wrote it down in his journal because he thought it was interesting and wanted to find the original author to talk to them about it, that's why there is a large space at the beginning...for the name of the author when he found it, but he never did and denied that it was his.
No it’s not false. Many people have had the same dreams about two plagues coming at the beginning of the 7 years of tribulation that are to proceed the 2nd coming. Different perspectives but essentially the same vision. & this is just a small part of what’s coming. But people don’t want to think or have capacity to imagine such a time, so they deny it & say it’s false, & include legitimate sounding sources that would substantiate their denial.
Just because he refuted being the author it does not mean this is false. He probably heard it from a reputable source or he wouldn't have written it down. Using the spirit of prophecy you can determine this or any apocrypha. (The time will come we can no longer survive on borrowed light...we will need our our own constant revelation)
It seems to me that whether it is a perfectly accurate vision from John Taylor, or not, many people have had dreams and visions to this effect. I can only imagine that is worse this week, and imagine things being, they will be even worse than we can imagine. I don’t like to think about it, either.
In the Book of Mormon, particularly in the book of 3 Nephi, we read about significant destruction and devastation that occurred prior to Christ's visit. This destruction was a result of the people's wickedness and the fulfillment of prophecies. For example, in **3 Nephi 8:6-12**, we learn about great natural disasters that took place, including earthquakes, storms, and darkness, which were signs of the end of a corrupt society. However, the destruction was not the end but rather a precursor to Christ's visit and the establishment of His teachings among the survivors. In **3 Nephi 11:1**, we see that after these events, Jesus Christ did indeed visit the survivors and began His teachings among them, providing a new beginning and a path of hope and redemption. The destruction before Christ's visit serves as a stark reminder of the consequences of turning away from God, but it also highlights the mercy and hope that Christ brings. As the survivors witnessed His arrival, it was a sign of new beginnings and the opportunity for change and reconciliation with God. The Bible also emphasizes the transformative power of Christ's return and the hope He brings, as seen in **Revelation 21:4**, which speaks of a future where God will wipe away all tears, and there will be no more death or mourning. This perspective helps us understand that while the destruction was severe, it was a moment leading to a new era of peace and righteousness through Christ's teachings. In summary, the destruction in the Book of Mormon and the warning found in the Book of Revelation chapter 24 are clear about the coming destruction which then sets the stage for a profound and necessary intervention by Jesus Christ, offering a chance for renewal and a fresh start for those who would follow Him.
I have also heard this attributed to Wilford Woodruff. It’s very clear to me that we do NOT know who actually had this vision, or if it’s even legitimate. Be careful when looking to sources outside of the scriptures or from known reputable sources (if there are any). One of the biggest admonitions to us in these latter-days is to not be deceived.
Interesting perspective, and much of it aligns with warnings in the Doctrine and Covenants, as well as the prophecies of Heber C. Kimball. However, I'd like to know your source because of one detail that stands out: the year 1951 is mentioned several times, but John Taylor died in 1887--so he wasn't alive in 1951. Did the narrator misspeak and mean 1851 by chance? Please clarify, as well as cite your sources for those of us who would like to look them up and read them. Thanks!
I have studied this ‘Revelation’ It has been attributed to John Taylor, then Lorenzo Snow and finally Joseph F. Smith. It keeps resurfacing, but it is not true. All of them disavowed it and affirmed it is a hoax.
Hello! More like 1851, maybe, not 1951! Love it when you misspell "myriads" --> myads and the AI-generated voice goes right along. President Taylor died in 1887.
This has been attributed to John Taylor for quite some time, but not proven for sure. Definitely a compelling testimony/account, but may not be from John Taylor.
@@TheWordsofChrist yep, that’s true. I just meant that the attribution of the story to John Taylor wasn’t necessarily accurate. Could be though. Regardless, a harrowing account to be sure.
Today many are confused about how to properly follow a true living prophet of God. Recently a general conference talk given by Joseph Fielding Smith has been published on this UA-cam Channel. It offers sound council on this very important topic.
Have you had the chance to review the official documents, or is this more of a reason to dismiss the matter? Many church leaders have affirmed similar claims, so this is not an isolated viewpoint.
Ok to start with cars were not common at all during John Taylors lifetime. He may well have not even known what cars were. This is the second video I have seen today from this channel that is very unlikely to be actual factual prophesy.
It sounds like you’re suggesting that while it’s very unlikely, it’s not possible to say for certain, is that right? You offer nothing concrete to discredit the account but your word. However, on the other hand, we do have authoritative voices who predict similar events for the future. - ua-cam.com/video/y3Xs-kXDTYQ/v-deo.html
@@TheWordsofChrist I was being polite. Of course we have prophets who do prophesy happenings in the future. We have to have the actual words of the prophet to know if it is a true prophesy. This is something that has been handed down from person to person and has flaws like the cars. Maybe the original was true but this is not. It honestly looks more like someone has taken a prophesy and altered it for political purposes.
I would like to see a source, a date, and a context as well as an explanation of who wrote down the experience . . . Otherwise I won't buy it as anything more than an interesting story.

However this vision came about, isn't as important. But I received my own revelation from this that has given me confirmation of other things I have felt I was being told by God. That is all that's important to me. True vision or not, God will always find ways to give us revelation by any means necessary to help us receive his message. "Avoid godless chatter, because those who indulge in it will become more and more ungodly." 2 Tim. 2:10 .......just a hint, the New Jerusalem will not be built in MO.
@myteacorn 2nd Timothy 2: 10 is not talking about any of the Prophets or Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is talking about the godless chatter of the accusers of Our Brethren from Revelation 12: 10. We are to defeat the accuser with The Atonement of Jesus , our testimonies of Him, and our covenants we make with Him in His Holy Temples. The fruits of Our Apostolic and Prophetic Brethren are sweet and abundant! Matthew 7: 15-20, Ephesians 2: 19-2 and Ephesians 4: 11-14. The glory of The Restoration would be clearly seen were it not for the accusatory fog from the godless chatter. Come and join all of the happy people on the Holy Highway or Covenant Path of Isaiah 35! And YES, _The New Jerusalem will be built on The American Continent in Jackson County Missouri_ .
Isaiah 35: 8-10 _And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein. No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there: And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away._
@myteacorn - the New Jerusalem will absolutely be built in “the place which is now called Independence”. (D&C 57). There are those who think this was superseded in D&C 124, but subsequent statements made by many prophets including and especially Brigham Young, Heber C. Kimball and Orson Pratt specifically reference Jackson County. Orson Pratt was in Jackson County at the time of D&C 57. All three were in Zions camp. All three knew and understood D&C 124. All three made subsequent statements confirming Independence as the place. You can add Talmage, McConkie, Joseph Fielding Smith, Ezra Taft Benson and several others. I will take their statements over any contemporary Church historian.
No, John Taylor was never excommunicated from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served faithfully as the third President of the Church from 1880 until his death in 1887 and was a key leader throughout his life.
The Bible encourages us to approach one another with love and understanding, rather than with slander or disrespect. As a leader of your own Christian church group online, you have an opportunity to set a positive example for others. 1. **Respect for Others’ Faith:** - In **Philippians 2:3**, Paul instructs us, "Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves." This verse highlights the importance of humility and respect in our interactions with others, even when we have differing beliefs. 2. **Avoiding Slander:** - **Proverbs 16:28** says, "A froward man soweth strife: and a whisperer separateth chief friends." Slandering or speaking ill of others can create unnecessary division and strife within the body of Christ. It’s important to address differences with kindness and integrity. 3. **Unity in Christ:** - Jesus prayed for unity among His followers in **John 17:21**: "That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me." Our primary goal should be to reflect Christ's love and unity, rather than focusing on differences. 4. **Focus on Constructive Dialogue:** - **Ephesians 4:29** encourages us, "Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers." Constructive dialogue and grace-filled communication are essential in discussing doctrinal differences. 5. **The Call to Love One Another:** - Finally, **1 John 4:20** states, "If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?" Our love for one another should be evident in our words and actions, reflecting the love God has shown us. I encourage you to consider these principles as we engage in discussions about faith. Let’s strive to build each other up and seek common ground, focusing on what unites us in Christ rather than what divides us.

Thanks!
I have studied this ‘Revelation’
It has been attributed to John Taylor, then Lorenzo Snow and finally Joseph F. Smith.
It keeps resurfacing, but it is not true.
All of them disavowed it and affirmed it is a hoax.
Hello! More like 1851, maybe, not 1951! Love it when you misspell "myriads" --> myads and the AI-generated voice goes right along. President Taylor died in 1887.
May I know where is the reference to the above talk? pls specfy
Where is this revelation found? Could you please provide the source it came from? Book, journal, that it lives on. Thanks.
Please review the video description for sources.
where can I find the account you are relating, please?
Read video description please for additional details.
This has been attributed to John Taylor for quite some time, but not proven for sure. Definitely a compelling testimony/account, but may not be from John Taylor.
Source : Wilford Woodruff’s Journal, June 15, 1878, “A Vision, Salt Lake City, Night of Dec 16, 1877.
@@TheWordsofChrist yep, that’s true. I just meant that the attribution of the story to John Taylor wasn’t necessarily accurate. Could be though. Regardless, a harrowing account to be sure.
Well whoever it's from, it's quiet a powerful testimony that we do need to follow our prophet and church leaders. Thank you for sharing this video.
Today many are confused about how to properly follow a true living prophet of God. Recently a general conference talk given by Joseph Fielding Smith has been published on this UA-cam Channel. It offers sound council on this very important topic.
I’d like to listen to that talk do you have the name of it-how would I find it?
Your source links you provided put this story in the highly doubtable category.
Have you had the chance to review the official documents, or is this more of a reason to dismiss the matter? Many church leaders have affirmed similar claims, so this is not an isolated viewpoint.
👍
I think we can safely classify this as apocryphal.
It sounds as though he may have been referring to railroad cars.
The word car Waa often used to describe vehicles. See other comments on this.
I would like to see a source, a date, and a context as well as an explanation of who wrote down the experience . . . Otherwise I won't buy it as anything more than an interesting story.
Does anyone know who these people are that are being referenced?
Clarify please .. referenced in video or within the description of video as sources?
@@TheWordsofChrist vague individuals. "my father/mother" "they" etc. I saw this just after seeing a Lunt biography on my fam search splash page.
I heard about this in seminary in the 70's & found it hard to find accurate details. Something about Wilford Woodruff.
ATM I'm curious about Lunt connection
Probably a little tough to record a vision in 1951 than 64 years earlier when he was alive.
Why are there no links to the original source? Without the original source this is just a story.
Additional links have been provided, which were found publicly online through a simple search. As you’ll soon notice, the most reliable documents may require some effort to access and may require registration.
However this vision came about, isn't as important. But I received my own revelation from this that has given me confirmation of other things I have felt I was being told by God. That is all that's important to me. True vision or not, God will always find ways to give us revelation by any means necessary to help us receive his message. God can reveal his truth, in the darkest of lies. That's how powerful and intelligent he is. That's why it is ALWAYA important to FIRST and FOREMOST open your heart to recieve your own personal revelation through the Holy Ghost while you listen, ponder, then pray.
I do not believe this. It has never been documented. And I’m 76 years old so have been around a long time. I’ve heard different versions of this but never from a reliable source.
I heard of this but never heard that it was a vision seen by any specific person. Such horror
There is no way this happened in 1951; John Taylor died in 1887. George Albert Smith died in 1875.
Real Christians know where that dream came from…
Agreed!
Sounds like Nuclear World war and apocalypse
Well he didn’t live through it as this said in the first vision so I guess it’s not true?
LDS. That's all i need to know.
Do you have any questions about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the doctrine of Christ which is taught all over the world in every language people may speak?
He did not tell others of this, he did not count it as a revelation. Seems much more is added to this.
Isaiah 35: 8-10
_And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.
It most definitely will be built in Independence Missouri
Is it okay that he got excommunicated from your church?
No, John Taylor was never excommunicated from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served faithfully as the third President of the Church from 1880 until his death in 1887 and was a key leader throughout his life.
John Taylor - Mormon Cult leader.
The Bible encourages us to approach one another with love and understanding, rather than with slander or disrespect. As a leader of your own Christian church group online, you have an opportunity to set a positive example for others.
1. **Respect for Others’ Faith:**
- In **Philippians 2:3**, Paul instructs us, "Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves." This verse highlights the importance of humility and respect in our interactions with others, even when we have differing beliefs.
2. **Avoiding Slander:**
- **Proverbs 16:28** says, "A froward man soweth strife: and a whisperer separateth chief friends." Slandering or speaking ill of others can create unnecessary division and strife within the body of Christ. It’s important to address differences with kindness and integrity.
3. **Unity in Christ:**
- Jesus prayed for unity among His followers in **John 17:21**: "That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me." Our primary goal should be to reflect Christ's love and unity, rather than focusing on differences.
4. **Focus on Constructive Dialogue:**
- **Ephesians 4:29** encourages us, "Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers." Constructive dialogue and grace-filled communication are essential in discussing doctrinal differences.
5. **The Call to Love One Another:**
- Finally, **1 John 4:20** states, "If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?" Our love for one another should be evident in our words and actions, reflecting the love God has shown us.
I encourage you to consider these principles as we engage in discussions about faith. Let’s strive to build each other up and seek common ground, focusing on what unites us in Christ rather than what divides us.
