Hi, my name is Jen I am 44 and live in Connecticut with my husband and 8 year old son. I am a stay-at-home Mom and full-time UA-camr with a degree in business with a focus in marketing. Before leaving work when my son was born, I was a commercial lender at a bank. I also worked at Sephora and Macy's doing visual merchandising.
I have dry skin with some hyperpigmentation and fine lines. I love natural makeup looks but occasionally go outside my comfort zone a little bit. Wow your skin looks wonderful today. It’s no surprise with the hundreds possibly thousands of products on the market between name brands, Indi, Brands etc,that we seem to run out and buy something new when we have a product just like that may be even better in our collection already.
About 7-8 years ago, Loreal released a limited edition face and body bronzer called GlamBronze. I purchased all 3 shades. By the time I was finishing the light shade, Lumi Bronze was released. They were nearly identical included the imprint on the powder and packaging size and shape. I’m on my 3rd one of the light shade. But all 3 are beautiful for different seasons.

Have you tried Amazon I get a lot of my L'Oreal Lumi and other products they don't carry in store anymore that way.
I hate that! Limited edition doesnt mean -never again. Just like the new loreal Tru match foundation. I thought they were going to discontinue it, so I stocked up with 5 bottles, but they just changed the packaging with a pump, and raised the price. Did not get a discount either, but it will last me a few years, so there's that.
You look so pretty in this video. You always look great, but the lighting seemed so ambient and warm…it made your complexion and makeup look so good!
Thank you so much! I got new lighting and I'm able to adjust it warm or cool. I've always had cool daylight bulbs but I decided to use a warmer setting and see how it looks. :)
I’m glad you mentioned the Juvias place blush duos. I have the bright pink one and the peach one. The formula is so good and you get a ton of product for the price. I love the bronzer duo as well. I think Juvias place is underrated in general. The eyeshadow palettes are really good also and I tend to buy from them over color pop because I feel like the color stories are better.
I would love to see you do more of these. To be honest it reminded me of things I already own and because my collection is embarrassingly large I can forget about products quite easily.

Oh my gosh, YES!! Please do more of these types of videos! There are soooo many OG products out there that either don't get the recognition they deserve (e.g., the Tarte Sugar Rush Best Bud Lip Balm) and new ones you don't hear about (e.g., Tarte Awake Lip Balm for daytime wear). All you EVER hear about is Laneige--like it's the only mask out there! So thank you for these reminders--they are wonderful!
I don’t know why more people aren’t talking about the Physicians Formula Eye Booster Lash 2 in 1 liquid eyeliner and also the Maybelline Falsies Lash Lift Mascara! Both are so amazing and I continually repurchase!
That mascara is my fave. Reminds me of the Charlotte tilbury legendary lashes but less clumpy
I have used those P.F. eyeliner pens for years! They are really good.

I saw the brand Lottie London for the first time today at my local Walmart so when you mentioned their blushes at such a good price I went straight to the Walmart app and found it. As always, much pricier here in Canada at $9.98. 😞 I'll still try it, though.

Revelon is sooo underrated… love almost all of their products… very wonderful high quality products for the price… let’s remind our selves that Revelon was out there for decates before all the new high end products nowadays

@@JenPhelps I’ve tried it on her recommendation and it’s the best for my chronically dry lips. The Laneige did nothing for my lips but the Tarte one is fantastic
I like the Tarte one but it's not still there in the morning. I don't know what I do differently. 🤷♀️
The one that I finally got to try was the Lawless Forget the Filler Lip Mask. She had a really good sale on in January and I finally went ahead and purchased it. I think it works just a little better than the Tarte one. Now if I ran out of both and couldn't afford the Lawless again. I'd definitely buy the Tarte but that's my take on it.

I love the entire Lumi line from l'oreal. Revlon has amazing skin lights highlighters and bronzers.
I still love the L'Oreal Lumi Bronze-it! Along with being a great shade with a soft sheen, I also use it as a crease shade on my eyes. It's so versatile. 🥰

I am on my second Flower Beauty highlighter palette. It’s great! I haven’t even thought about buying any more highlighters since getting this palette. I can use all three colours.
The Nabla palette is included in this spring’s Ulta 21 days of beauty. I forgot which day I saw it on, but it was toward the end.

Danessa Myrick powder highlighter pallet is an awesome buy...it's $40ish and it has 6 shades. I'm not good with highlighter but it's not too much. Lo e it and it has a pretty hi high rating.
Nabla eyeshadows as so underrated! And the Lumi bronzer is my favorite drugstore bronzer by far!

I’m on my second L’Oréal Lumi bronzer in Fair/Light. I used my first one up & couldn’t be without it. So good. It’s baked onto a waffle tile surface btw.
The Tarte Sugar Rush lip balm is very good for my nighttime lip mask.

I've always thought the Laneige lip balm was overrated, my lips were noticeably drier after using it!!!!
The Nabla palette "Side by Side" is an awesome palette, I use it sooooooooooo much.
The It Cosmetics Super Hero mascara is one of my all time favourite mascaras. Nobody talks about it anymore!!
I loved this trip down "memory lane", it was a lovely reminder that some products just don't need replacing with new ones.

I also love IT Superhero! And I agree with you on the Laneige...it did nothing for me.
Try the Nooni applebutter lip mask. It worked so much better for me than the Laneige and I never hear anyone talking about it! I like it because it’s got the tiniest bit of AHA in it, so it not only deeply moisturizes but helps get that crusty skin off so much easier in the morning!

Those Lottie London blushes remind me of the Essence blushes. Only a tiny bit better packaging.
That ombré blush is awesome. I have all three. Highly pigmented. Blends like a dream. Not chalky at all. As good as any high end blush.
The Flower Beauty highlighter trio has been my favorite for a few years. With price increases and the fact my Wal-Mart doesn't sell Flower anymore, I just picked up the Dollar General highlight trio 'On Cloud Nine' today and hoping I'll like it enough to replace it....even though I don't wanna replace it!! 😢

Omg! I never comment but have been a faithful follower for years now and I LOVED this video. I'm constantly trying to see recommendations whether new or old that isn't being recommended in every single video ATM. Just very refreshing. There are still tons of throwbacks that I never got around to or forgot about and it's nice to be reminded. Products come and go soooo quick it's hard to even remember what I was interested in last week. Anyways good video!
I just bought the Lumi bronzer based on Jessica Braun’s recommendations and OH MY GOSH😍😍😍 it’s INCREDIBLE, especially for my very fair skin! And even on my slightly more oily skin type, it still looks SO pretty!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I absolutely love the L’Oreal Lumi bronzer. But I agree the lid brakes on mine every time. I treat that thing with a lot of TLC, but it breaks every time. But I will not stop buying it because it’s gorgeous.

So crazy how different makeup works on everyone. The Lottie London mascara I got for free, because of a glitch on the Ulta app, so I really had no bias, and I hate it. I feel like it didn’t do anything for my lashes, and thought the thicker formula would help with something, and it also ended up flaking. However my best friend LOVES it. She loves how it’s more natural looking and her very straight lashes stayed curled when she curled her lashes and then applied it.
The Flower Beauty stuff is so great….I’ve had the highlight palette for a while and it’s still so good!! 😊

I have tried the tarte lip butters. To me the texture is similar to a body butter or something. I’m not sure I like it all that much but it’s a very unique formulation.

Jen, I want you to know that I ordered both shades of the Sugar Rush lip balm after this video. My lips have been so dry. This balm has helped a lot. I don't know if these are top-rated, but I'll mention my favorite drugstore lipsticks, the Revlon Super Lustrous (unscented and unflavored.) Also the L'Oreal True Match blush. If you're looking for a very pale cool pink, try the Baby Blossom color. And the L'Oreal True Match powder, which is pretty good on my dry skin. Also the Maybelline Dream BB Fresh beauty balm, aka sheer tinted moisturizer. This is great on my dry skin.

I had the L'Oréal Lumi Bronzer in Light, and it was one of my favorite drugstore bronzers, I definitely need to repurchase this, it has the perfect undertone for my fair/light skin, and it has a nice subtle glow. I really liked how you read some reviews about each of the products with incorporating your opinion too, it helps to hear what your thoughts are as well.

I have the L’Oréal lumi bronze it, and the hinge broke on mine as well (first one I purchased). Love the product for fair skin. I keep going back to it above all other bronzers. However there’s so much product so I’ll have to use it for a very long time with a broken lid. The good news is, the lid stays on; it’s just removable now, lol.

Have you tried the Fenty lip stain? It's definitely not as cheap as a drugstore brand (I caught it 50% off during a sale), but it really lasts. I let it sit for at least 5 minutes and then it's transfer proof but my lips still feel soft. I have dry lips like you do so I usually have balm on under the stain.

Hey Jen, could you please talk about the fragrances in the products you recommend? I bought a moisturizer based on your recommendation that had a horrific baby powder fragrance you didn’t mention in your review, and I went to add those Tarte blushes to my wishlist only to happen upon a review talking about how heavily fragranced they are. Fragrance is a huge influencing factor for a lot of us, so letting us know whether something is fragranced, what it smells like and how strong the fragrance is would be very helpful. Thank you!
La colors strobing highlighters are dupes for patmcgrath highlighters and la colors makes an amazing tubing mascara !
